Abstract

This research was entitled “Parents’ Domineering Leadership in “Nanti Kita Cerita Tentang Hari Ini” Movie”. As is known, family conflict discourse had always been one of the debates within the household. Most of family disputes comes from the absence of open communication. Some efforts can be done to minimize conflicts within family scope. After all, family is one of the very first places where people starts to communicate to. This study aims to describe parent’s domineering leadership (father) towards his daughter epicted in “NKCTHI”. The object of the study is “Nanti Kita Cerita Tentang Hari Ini” movie, produced in 2020 by Angga Dwimas Sasongko. The research method uses Roland Barthes’ semiotic analysis through the meaning of lexia and the five existing reading codes. In providing evidences, this research will focus on dialogues and symbols taken from 6 specific scenes. The results indicate that the meaning of lexia occurs in form of restraint, emphasis, blame, and subordination. The study concludes that what is shown in “NKCTHI" is related to the representation of patriarchal society where men are considered more important than women and that women are considered as subordinates who do not have courage to speak up against men’s dominating power. This behavior occurs quite repeatedly in family scope which then creates injustice in gender relations that is often displayed by the media industry. Typically, patriarchal culture always displays perfect body, but the depicted perfect body in the media industry tends to show the superiority of masculine character identity which emphasizes the power of self-defense of parent’s domineering leadership

Abstract

ABSTRACTThe role of lymphocyte T Helper-1 (TH1) and T Helper-2 (TH2) in the pathogenesis of leprosy arthritisBackground: The autoreactive of TH CD4+ cells is the thought to play an important role in arthritis leprosy pathogenesis. However, wheter of TH1 or TH2 predominant has never been studied.Methods: Various Ag M. leprae (Ag 35 kDa, 10 kDa, 45 kDa, 85 kDa, and MLSA 2 ug/ml) were stimulated to the peripheral blood (10cc) lymphocyte culture (PBMC) using 96 weels microplate and RPMI 1640 media of 22 leprosy arthritis cases, control-1 (n=12) (leprosy without arthritis) and control 2 (n=12) (healthy contact). The activity difference between TH1 and TH2 CD4+ lymphocyte was analysed using the difference delta levels of IFN-γ and IL-4 (ELISA) of the three group studies. Statistical analysis used wereANOVA, Kruskal Wallis or Mann Whitney, and Chi-square.Results: IFN-γ delta levels was significantly higher in the lymphocytes cultures in LA group (the median 132.234 pg/ml, 60.347 g/ml, 14.093 pg/ml, 16.619 pg/ml and 138.394 pg/ml) compared with IL-4 value level (median 0.317 pg/ml, 0.017 pg/ml, -0.206 pg/ml, -0.200 pg/ml and 0.492 pg/ml) after being stimulated with 35 kDa, 10 kDa MMP-1, 45 kDa LAM, 85 kDa and MLSA of 2 ug/ml dose consecutively (all p<0.001). The IFN-γ delta value in LA group also showed the significantly higher level in response toall M. leprae Ag compared to all control-groups, with all p value < 0.05.Conclusion: TH1 CD4+ lymphocyte activity is more dominant compared than TH2 CD4+ lymphocyte activity in leprosy arthritis group patients.Key Words: Leprosy arthritis, IFN-γ, IL-4, TH1 CD4+ and TH2 CD4+ lymphocyte, and M. leprae Ag ABSTRAKLatar belakang: TH CD4+ autoreactive diduga kuat pada patogenesis artritis lepra. Apakah autoimunitas akibat dominansi aktivasi limfosit TH1 atau TH2 pada penderita lepra belum pernah diteliti.Metode: Berbagai Ag M.leprae (35 kDa, 10 kDa, 45 kDa LAM, 85 kDa, dan MLSA dosis 2 ug/ml) distimulasikan pada kultur limfosit darah perifer (10 cc darah vena), menggunakan media RPMI 1640 dari 22 kasus artritis lepra, 12 kontrol-1 (lepra tanpa artritis), dan 12 kontrol-2 (tetangga sehat kontak positif). Nilai delta kadar IFN-γ dan IL-4 (ELISA) diukur untuk mengetahui peran aktivitas limfosit TH1 dan TH2. Statistik yang dipergunakan uji ANOVA, uji Kruskal-Wallis atau Mann Whitney, dan metode Chi-square.Hasil: Nilai delta IFN-γ kultur limfosit kasus artritis lepra (median 132,234 pg/ml, 60,347 pg/ml, 14,093 pg/ml, 16,619 pg/ml dan 138,394 pg/ml) kelompok LA lebih tinggi bermakna dibandingkan nilai delta IL-4 (median 0,317 pg/ml, 0,017 pg/ml, -0,206 pg/ml, - 0,200 pg/ml dan 0,492 pg/ml) pasca stimulasi dengan Ag M. leprae 35 kDa, 10 kDa MMP-1, 45 kDa LAM, 85 kDa dan MLSA dosis 2 ug/ml, (p<0,001). Nilai delta IFN-γ kelompok kasus juga lebih tinggi dibandingkan kedua kelompok kontrol (p< 0,05).Simpulan: Aktivitas limfosit TH1 CD4+ lebih dominan dibandingkan TH2CD4+ pada kelompok penderita artritis lepra.

Abstract

Latar belakang: Peningkatan Berat Badan Interdialitik (IDWG) adalah peningkatan volume cairan yang diwujudkan dengan kenaikan berat badan sebagai indikator untuk mengetahui jumlah asupan cairan selama periode interdialitik dan kepatuhan management mandiri pasien terhadap regulasi cairan pada pasien yang mendapat terapi hemodialisis. Pasien gagal ginjal yang menjalani hemodialisa harus dibatasi asupan cairannya. Upaya untuk mencegah peningkatan IDWG dapat dilakukan dengan pemberian intervensi self care management. Tujuan : Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menggambarkan penerapan intervensi self care management terhadap IDWG pada pasien hemodialisa. Metode: Rancangan penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif dengan metode pendekatan studi kasus Subyek dalam studi kasus ini adalah 2 orang pasien dengan kriteria pasien dengan gagal ginjal kronik yang menjalani hemodialisa, pasien yang bersedia diberikan intervensi self care management. Hasil studi kasus menunjukkan bahwa pemberian intervensi self care managementdapat menurunkan berat badan antar sesi hemodialisisyaitu pada subyek Idari 5 % (kategori sedang) turun menjadi 0,8 % (kategori ringan) dan pada subyek II dari 6 % (kategori sedang) turun menjadi 0,8 % (kategori ringan). Intervensi self care management terbukti efektif untuk mencegah peningkatan IDWG pada pasien hemodialisa. Saran Intervensi Self care Management direkomendasikan sebagai intervensi keperawatan untuk pasien yang menjalani hemodialisa

Abstract

This research is based on the implementation of a national vaccination campaign to prevent the transmission of Covid-19 in Indonesia, and the presence of social media can shorten the government's target in achieving the national target of 181.5 million people in Indonesia. This study uses qualitative research with a systematic literature review in uncovering research questions. The results of the study conclude that social media plays a very important role in campaigning for the government's national Covid-19 vaccination program and the form of delivery on social media using images of officials including the president plays a very important role in influencing the public to participate in the national vaccination program.

Abstract

The Covid-19 pandemic entered Indonesia in February 2020, one month later most of the institutions changed their work policies. Business processes have also changed. Leaders at all levels are tested to be adaptive to unpredictable conditions, including the media business which is also affected by the effects of the pandemic. The leaders of female countries have shown good performance, as evidenced by the number of countries they lead that have succeeded in reducing the number of Covid-19 transmissions. Women leaders are considered to be more responsive and quick. Even so, how the experiences of women leaders at other leadership levels have not been well covered in any media. So this study will try to understand the experiences of female media leaders during the pandemic in 2020 as well as the initial steps for crisis management. This study uses a critical paradigm with a descriptive approach. The theory used is Standpoint Theory developed by Sandra Harding and Julia T. Wood and Crisis Management. This theory seeks to understand the world through women's eyes. The method used is critical phenomenology. The results showed that women as media leaders act quickly, utilize technology, and adapt business processes. Apart from that, it puts forward four crisis management steps in its implementation.

Abstract

The aim of this study is to determine the impact of teachers' communication, academic quality and higher educational reputation on student interests. By collecting data through surveys, the method uses a quantitative approach. The research instrument used a questionnaire tested for validity and reliability using the Cronbach's alpha technique. The sample consisted of 168 people comprised of 30 male and 138 female students of the 2020 class State Polytechnicof Ujung Pandang. The research method uses multiple linear regression analysis. The study results are as follows: (1) Lecturer education communications have a positive impact of 34.1 percent on student participation in college. (2) Academic services quality has a positive impact of 26.7% upon the interest of the students in college. (3) Higher education reputation has a positive effect on student interest of 35.5%. (4) Professors' instructional communications and academic services quality have a positive impact on college students interest by 35.3%. (5) The qualities of academic services and the reputation of institutions of higher education have an effect of 40.3 percent on student interest. (6) The students' interest in study positively affects educational communication from lecturers and reputation in universities by 43.9%. (7) The student interest in studying positively influences 43.9% on teacher education communications, academic quality and the reputation of the universities.

Abstract

Hari Prabangsa Nasional with hashtag (#) symbol had took over twitter during early February 2019. This trending topic was popularized by AJI Indonesia to protest against the government’s policy that has the possibility of threatening the press freedom. Prabangsa is the name of a journalist that was murdered by I Nyoman Susrama. This movement arised because of the policy to grant remission to the murderer. Hari Prabangsa Nasional or shortened as HPN has the similar abbreviation to Hari Pers Nasional (HPN). The aim of this research is to understand how Twitter as social media is employed as the new form of the press freedom protest. This research will be analyzed by The Logic of Connective Action Theory by Bennett and Segerberg . The Logic of Connective Action Theory argues for a more expansive path to concerted actions through the selfmotivated sharing of personalized content on social media. This research uses the Critical Discourse Analysis Method. This method will analyze the phenomenon from three different levels, such as the producer of social movement, the twitter text and the consumer of the social movement. The merit of this research is to add depiction that social media is effective way for conducting a social movement. The finding shows that to employ the Twitter for such movement, offline and online combination are still needed.

Abstract

ABSTRACTSpeaking of Indonesian badminton, the support of the supporters cannot be released. Badminton supporters in Indonesia are "unusual" and "extraordinary" because of the fanatical supporters who "flout" and support from the entrepreneur element. The formation of badminton fandom in Indonesia which is orderly when supporting in each competition is closely related to PT Djarum's concern through corporate social responsibility activities. Djarum Foundation Bakti Olahraga program focuses on the success of badminton in Indonesia. The strategy with a cultural approach to the community is carried out to create fanaticism in a positive way so that the value of nationalism that it has is lasting. Therefore, this study aims to describe the marketing communication strategy 3.0 which is an idea from Philip Kotler (Kotler, 2010: 17) to perpetuate the fantasy of nationalism through badminton by Djarum Foundation Bakti Sports. The research method used is the constructivist paradigm interpretive qualitative approach with case study research design. The results showed that fandom's involvement in various Djarum Foundation Community Service Sports programs became a strategy to perpetuate the nationalism they had.. The story of the struggle fantasy of badminton athletes is packaged through Indonesian symbols so that it awakens fandom consciously to internalize the sense of nationalism, then reproduces its experience and knowledge to inspire other badminton fandom groups, even Indonesian people to always support Indonesian badminton with various actions. This form of nationalism from fandom is emotional solidarity in civic nationalism so that it can be called banal nationalism. The phenomenon of fandom badminton is a successful landmark for Djarum Foundation Bakti Olahraga program that can be replicated by other companies or institutions as a booster for a sense of sustainable nationalism.Keywords: Marketing 3.0, Fandom, Symbolic Convergence Theory, NationalismABSTRAKBerbicara tentang bulutangkis Indonesia, dukungan para suporter tidak bisa dilepaskan. Suporter bulutangkis di Indonesia “tidak biasa” dan “luar biasa” karena adanya suporter fanatik yang “urakan” serta dukungan dari elemen entrepreneur. Pembentukan fandom badminton di Indonesia yang tertib ketika mendukung di setiap kompetisinya terkait erat dengan kepedulian PT Djarum melalui kegiatan corporate social responsibility. Program Djarum Foundation Bakti Olahraga fokus untuk kejayaan bulu tangkis di Indonesia. Strategi dengan pendekatan kultural kepada masyarakat dilakukan untuk menciptakan fanatisme dalam hal positif agar nilai nasionalisme yang dimilikinya langgeng. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menggambarkan strategi komunikasi pemasaran 3.0 yang merupakan gagasan dari Philip Kotler (Kotler, 2010:17) untuk melanggengkan fantasi nasionalisme melalui olahraga badminton oleh Djarum Foundation Bakti Olahraga. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah paradigma konstruktivis pendekatan kualitatif interpretif dengan desain penelitian studi kasus. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa keterlibatan fandom di berbagai program Djarum Foundation Bakti Olahraga menjadi strategi melanggengkan nasionalisme yang mereka miliki. Cerita fantasi perjuangan atlet badminton dikemas melalui simbol-simbol Indonesia sehingga membangkitkan fandom secara sadar untuk menginternalisasi rasa nasionalisme, kemudian mereproduksi pengalaman dan pengetahuannya kembali untuk menginspirasi kelompok fandom badminton lainnya bahkan masyarakat Indonesia agar selalu mendukung badminton Indonesia dengan beragam tindakan. Wujud nasionalisme dari fandom ini merupakan solidaritas emosional dalam nasionalisme kewargaan (civic nationalism) sehingga dapat disebut sebagai banal nationalism. Fenomena fandom badminton menjadi tengara sukses program Bakti Olahraga Djarum Foundation yang dapat ditiru oleh perusahaan atau institusi lain sebagai pendongkrak rasa nasionalisme yang berkelanjutan.Kata Kunci: Marketing 3.0, Fandom, Teori Konvergensi Simbolik, Nasional

Abstract

Abstract Rejection and support are present in the implementation of the Puteri Indonesia beauty contest. There were rejections from feminists and religious organizations regarding the issue of sexual objectification. On the other hand, support is present through the enthusiasm of the community, one of which is through the acquisition of high ratings in the Puteri Indonesia 2020 show. The reality of the support and popularity of beauty contests behind sexual objectification has become a research problem. Based on the situation, this study aims to determine the audiences' reception towards the sexual objectification of contestants in the Puteri Indonesia 2020 program. This study involved eight informants who had watched the Puteri Indonesia 2020 show. Based on the research results, the audience's meaning system functioned theoretically to develop concepts from Standpoint Theory and Reception Theory. The study results apply the concept of Standpoint Theory, such as a standpoint of the dominant group, the interests of the dominant group, and situated knowledge that is useful for explaining the phenomenon of sexual objectification in the Puteri Indonesia 2020 show. The concept of the Reception Theory shows the audience's active role through a meaning system of 8 informants based on 10 preferred readings, which resulted in 3 positions of meaning, such as dominant, negotiation, and opposition. The majority of the meanings of the eight informants are in a dominant position. 4 Female informants showed 18 dominant meanings, 12 negotiations, and 10 oppositions. Meanwhile, 4 male informants showed 22 dominant meanings, 17 negotiations, and 1 opposition. The research results add to reception studies for established program genres. In this case, the Puteri Indonesia contest has proven existence until 2020 that successfully held and broadcast on national television stations 25 times.Keywords: beauty pageant; preferred reading; Puteri Indonesia; reception analysis; sexual objectification  Abstrak Penolakan dan dukungan hadir dalam penyelenggaraan kontes kecantikan Puteri Indonesia. Penolakan hadir dari para feminis dan organisasi agama terkait isu objektifikasi seksual. Di sisi lain, dukungan hadir melalui antusiasme masyarakat, salah satunya terlihat melalui perolehan rating tinggi dalam penayangan acara Puteri Indonesia 2020. Realita berupa dukungan dan kepopuleran kontes kecantikan di balik isu objektifikasi seksual menjadi permasalahan penelitian. Untuk itu, studi resepsi digunakan untuk mengetahui pandangan khalayak terkait objektifikasi seksual dalam kontes Puteri Indonesia 2020. Penelitian ini melibatkan 8 informan yang telah menyaksikan acara Puteri Indonesia 2020. Sistem pemaknaan khalayak berdasarkan hasil penelitian berfungsi secara teoritis mengembangkan konsep dari Teori Standpoint dan Teori Resepsi. Hasil penelitian menerapkan konsep Teori Standpoint yaitu, sudut pandang kelompok berkuasa, kepentingan kelompok berkuasa, dan pengetahuan tersituasi yang berguna untuk menjelaskan fenomena objektifikasi seksual dalam tayangan Puteri Indonesia 2020. Konsep dari Teori Resepsi menunjukkan peran aktif khalayak melalui sistem pemaknaan 8 informan berdasarkan 10 preferred reading yang menghasilkan 3 posisi pemaknaan yaitu: dominan, negosiasi, dan oposisi. Mayoritas pemaknaan 8 informan berada dalam posisi dominan. 4 Informan perempuan menunjukkan 18 makna dominan, 12 negosiasi, dan 10 oposisi. Sedangkan, 4 Informan laki-laki menunjukkan 22 makna dominan, 17 negosiasi, dan 1 oposisi.  Hasil penelitian menambah studi resepsi pada genre program mapan. Dalam hal ini, kontes Puteri Indonesia membuktikan eksistensinya hingga tahun 2020 telah berhasil diselenggarakan dan ditayangkan di stasiun televisi nasional sebanyak 25 kali.   Kata Kunci: analisis resepsi; kontes kecantikan; objektifikasi seksual; preferred reading; Puteri Indonesia
