Abstract

Kegiatan pelatihan dan workshop ini dijalankan berdasarkan banyaknya fenomena siswa yang tidak mampu menyampaikan perasaan dan pemikirannya dalam proses konseling.  Hal ini berkemungkinan terjadi karena dampak psikologis dari berbagai kejadian, salah satu contohnya adalah ketakutan terhadap ujian nasional. Dampak psikologis ini, seharusnya bisa diminimalkan dan/atau dihilangkan apabila siswa mau menyampaikan permasalahannya kepada guru BK/Konselor. Untuk itu guru BK/konselor harus memiliki wawasan dan keterampilan tentang berbagai pendekatan dan teknik dalam konseling. Salah satunya adalah teknik konseling expressive therapy. Para ahli terapi ekspressif meyakini bahwa individu berbeda dalam mengekspresikan apa yang ada dalam dirinya, ada individu yang lebih terbuka mengungkapkan apa yag terasa dalam dirinya, termasuk mengkomunikasikan kecemasan yang dirasakannya. Sebaliknya ada individu lainnya agak tertutup tidak bisa mengkomunikasikan secara langsung apa yang terasa dan menjadi beban pikirannya, termasuk mengkomunikasikan kecemasan yang dirasakannya. Untuk itu konselor perlu memiliki metode yang bervariasi dalam kegiatan pelayanan konseling, sehingga konselor dapat mengembangkan kemampuan klien untuk mengkomunikasikan secara efektif dan otentik apa yang ada dalam dirinya dan apa yang menjadi beban pikirannya, serta yang menjadi obyek kecemasannya. Pelatihan dan workshop ini diberikan kepada guru BK/Konselor tingkat SLTP/MTsN se Kota Padang dalam pertemuan MGBK Kota Padang.

Abstract

The low prosocial behavior of students can inhibit the developmental tasks of adolescent such as the inability of appreciating others and getting others’ respect. Group guidance can be used to improve students’ prosocial behavior. The aim of this study was to reveal the effectiveness of group guidance service with modeling techniques in improving students’ prosocial behavior. This quasi-experimental research with pretest and posttest control group design aims to find out whether group guidance services with modeling techniques can improve students' prosocial behavior or not. Two groups were selected by using purposive sampling. They were selected from Sekolah Menengah Pertama Islam Terpadu (SMPIT) Rabbi Radhiyya Curup Tengah and Madrasah Tsanawiyah Pesantren Muhammadiyah Curup Timur. Each group consisted of 10 students. There were five meetings of group guidance service for each experimental and control group. The data of prosocial behavior were collected by using pretest and posttest, then they were analyzed by using the Wilcoxon Signed Ranks Test and Kolmogorov-Smirnov Two Sample with SPSS version 16.00. The findings of this study were: (1) there was a significant difference between students’ pretest and posttest of prosocial behavior in the experimental group, (2) there was a significant difference between students’ pretest and posttest of prosocial behavior in the control group, (3) there was a significant difference between posttests of students’ prosocial behavior in the experimental and the control group. Based on those findings, it is concluded that the students’ prosocial behavior can be improved through group guidance with modeling techniques. Therefore, it is suggested for counseling teachers to do group guidance by using modeling techniques, especially in enhancing prosocial behavior and other social behaviors.

Abstract

Penelitian ini berawal dari rendahnya kinerja dosen penasehat akademik  yang diketahui berdasarkan wawancara yang dilakukan  dengan mahasiswa jurusan TV dan FILM ISI Padangpanjang. Kinerja dosen penasehat akademik adalah sesuatu yang telah dicapai oleh dosen penasehat akademik yang diukur melalui persepsi mahasiswa dalam melaksanakan tugas dan tanggung jawab yang diberikan kepadanya berdasarkan kompetensi yang dimilikinya.  Jenis penelitian adalah korelasional deskriptif. Dalam penelitian ini terdapat  populasi sebesar  135,  teknik pengambilan sampel  teknik Simple Random Sampling dan diperoleh jumlah sampel 100. Pengumpulan data dengan skala likert, dan analisis data dengan analisis deskriptif korelasional. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kinerja dosen PA berkategori rendah  dan masalah akademik mahasiswa berada pada kategori sedang, , sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa hubungan antara kinerja dosen PA dengan masalah akademik mahasiswa. Tingkat korelasi antara kinerja dosen PA dengan masalah akademik mahasiswa sangat rendah atau tidak terlalu signifikan bahkan bisa dikatakan hampir tidakberkorelasi sama sekali.

Abstract

Changes that occur when entering old age requires a new kind of adjustment, that adjustments to themselves and to the environment. For the elderly who live in social institutions they require the ability to adjust to life in social institutions. In fact there are elderly people who do not have the ability to adapt in the social institutions. This study aims to determine the problems in the elderly make adjustments in social institutions. This research is descriptive. The sample of 31 people. The findings show that 1) 21.75% of elderly have problems in personal adjustment includes adjustments to the physical changes, and adjustments to the psychological condition, 2) 22.81% of elderly have problems in social adjustment includes adjustment of relationships with fellow residents, adjusting relationships with nursing board, adjustment of relationships with family, and adjustments to regulation of social institutions.

Abstract

This study is setting of issues about how the perception of task and work motivation influencing much on the performance of BK teacher/counselor at Junior High Schools in Kupang city. The goal is to describe the influence of perception on task and work motivation of BK teacher/counselor in the performance of duties in the school. The research uses a quantitative approach with descriptive methods. The results of this study showed that the perception of task and work motivation of BK teacher/counselor give a very significant influence on the performance of BK teachers/counselor in execution of duty.

Abstract

Various approaches and theory can be applied to help students to cope with personal problems; one approach that can be applied is the impact counseling. Impact Therapy is a teaching process that carried out by the counselor, where a counselor wrote and visualized to clients about what the client wants, the client will do, how clients assess their behavior and how clients to plan what to do next. This is illustrated by Ed Jacobs As WDEP (Want, Doing, Evaluate, and Plan). Before using the impact counseling for students who are not able to communicate the problems that they experienced first counselor implemented expressive therapy. Expressive therapy known as a therapy in counseling and psychotherapy in which the client can communicate and express its feelings and their thoughts through activities related to art, music, dance, drama, poetry, as well as games. Expressive therapy is also called the "Creative Arts Therapy". Especially art, music, drama and poetry.

Abstract

The future achievement of adolescent in correctional institutions is also required to assume education or learning. The government has need to provide coaching for young prisoners in education at correctional institution so they are ready to enter new life after free. But the coaching that has not been able to optimally implementation. One of the problems that young prisoners is low learning skills. The purpose of this study was to describe learning skills of the young prisoners in correctional institution adolescent Tanjung Pati Lima Puluh Koto. This research used quantitative approaches with descriptive-quantitative method. The sample in this research consisted of 32 young prisoner. An analyze of the data used instruments learning skills of the young prisoners and analysis used is presentation. The research finding showed that learning skills of young prisoners at a medium level as many as 17 people with 73,91%, the very high level as many as 5 people with 21,74%, the low level as many as 1 people with 4,35%. The implication of this research is to describe learning skills young prisoners. In order, the results of this study could be data to assist the prisoners and coaching for solving their problems in learning

Abstract

This research is motivated by the problems students face regarding interpersonal communication in school. Self-confidence and parental social support are considered factors that could facilitate this problem. The purpose of this study therefore was to determine the extent to which self-confidence and social support of parents contribute to interpersonal communication. This study uses a descriptive correlational quantitative method and the population assessed were 73 students of SMP N 4 Batusangkarf selected by proportional stratified random sampling technique. The instruments used were self-confidence, parental social support and interpersonal communication. Data was collected using the Likert scale model and analyzed using multiple regression method. The results show a significant (58.1%) relationship between self-confidence and social support of parents with interpersonal communication.

Abstract

Feelings of inferiority in the individual can interfere with his development. Therefore, it is important to provide treatment through Guidance and Counseling services. In order for the implementation of Guidance and Counseling services to run effectively and efficiently, it is necessary described the inferiority condition of individual accurately. This study aims to describe feelings of inferiority student’s in Islamic Junior High School. The research methodology used is quantitative with a descriptive-analysis. The research instrument used Likert scale model. Research subjects amounted to 38 students. The results showed that the feelings inferiority of student was in a medium category with a persentage 50%.
