Abstract

This study was conducted to determine the dimensions of self concept (self image, selfevaluation, ideal-self, and social self) and self- disclosure (amount, valance, accuracy & honesty, intention, and intimacy) on communication interpersonal adolence. The samples used in this study are 284students in SMPN 1 Rajeg. This study used quantitative method with multiple regression analysis. The results of this study show that self-concept and selfdisclosure have significant influence on self adjustment of new immigrant students in college (R square = 17.6 %, sig = 0,000). The results of minor hypothesis testing show that ideal-self,amount, and valensi significantly influence communication interpersonal of students inSMPN 1 Rajeg. The implications of the findings in terms of providing interventions forincreasing levels of communication interpersonal among students in SMPN 1 Rajeg werediscussed. DOI: 10.15408/tazkiya.v22i1.8161

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh dan besarnya sumbangan dukungan sosial, gaya kelekatan, jenis kelamin, dan lama tinggal di panti asuhan terhadap perasaan kesepian pada remaja yang tinggal di Panti Asuhan Khazanah Kebajikan. Sampel berjumlah 170 remaja (79 laki-laki dan 91 perempuan) berusia 13-18 tahun yang dipilih dengan cara simple random sampling. Analisis data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan teknik regresi berganda dengan bantuan software SPSS 16.0. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan ada pengaruh yang signifikan secara bersama-sama dari dukungan emosional, dukungan penghargaan, dukungan instrumental, dukungan informasi, dukungan jaringan, secure attachment style, fearful attachment style, preoccupied attachment style, dismissing attachment style, jenis kelamin dan lama tinggal di panti asuhan terhadap perasaan kesepian. Kemudian, jika dilihat dari koefisien regresi masing-masing IV, diketahui bahwa hanya terdapat tiga IV yang signifikan pengaruhnya terhadap perasaan kesepian, yaitu dukungan penghargaan, dukungan jaringan, dan fearful attachment style.

Abstract

This study was conducted to discover whether parenting style and interaction in peer group have significant effect on teenagers' character. Demographic factors were also added, such as age and gender, whether these factors have significant effect on teenagers' character as well. Sample of this study is 210 teenagers in Ciputat area, Tangerang Selatan, age range of those respondents is 10 – 22 year old. Respondents were asked to complete all of the instrument which measure parenting styles, peer group interaction, and character. The result of this study indicates that there is significant effect of parenting style (authoritative), peer group interaction (openness and interaction frequency), age, and gender on teenagers' character.
