Abstract

The development of mass media in Indonesia has experienced tremendous growth. Especially after entering the reformation era, the tap of democracy in Indonesia has begun to open. This turned out to have a tremendous impact on press freedom. The press is no longer confined by the rules of the authorities, so that the press can be used by various parties to defend the interests of the institutions that own it, including for political interests. The trend that is currently seen is that social-political organizations in Indonesia are starting to compete to dominate media companies in order to improve their image in the eyes of the public. The political elites try to build political communication intensely in order to attract the sympathy of the masses to side with them. The media is so sought after by many parties because of its power in shaping public opinion.

Abstract

There are three kinds of political culture in Indonesian society, namely parochial political culture, subjects and participants. Parochial political culture can be seen in the lowly educated small society. They tend to be less concerned with the output that comes out of the government, which according to them does not affect their lives. Older political culture usually occurs in upper middle class society with higher levels of education and who have an interest and concern for political issues, but tend to give up because they feel they do not have the power to influence or change government policy. Meanwhile, the political culture of participants appears to be members of society who have the slightest influence in government decision making. Political elites, party elites, pressure groups or pressure groups such as NGOs, or a group of students carrying out government policies that harm the people, are examples of participant political culture.

Abstract

Cadres are volunteers who are at the forefront of the Bina Keluarga Balita (BKB) service. Bina Keluarga Balita (BKB) cadres must be able to communicate and motivate parents to be responsible for children's growth and development. One of the BKKBN policy directions contained in the 2015-2019 BKKBN Renstra is a policy to increase family development regarding parents' understanding of the importance of families in caring for toddler and child development. The implementation of government policies to improve the quality of children in the context of family development is carried out through Bina Keluarga Balita (BKB) which aims to increase the knowledge and skills of parents to nurture and foster children's growth and development through physical, mental, intellectual, emotional, spiritual, social and moral stimulation activities. Based on this situation, it is considered important to provide seminars to cadres in the Bina Keluarga Balita (BKB) service regarding knowledge about the effectiveness of communication which will provide information to parents of toddlers. The role of cadres in Bina Keluarga Balita (BKB) services is very strategic in order to achieve healthy and quality toddlers.

Abstract

This study analyzes health communication in the context of public policy through the YouTube video “Polemic on BPJS Regulation 2025” on the BeritaSatu channel. The main issue raised is the ineffectiveness of government communication in disseminating the new BPJS regulation, which triggered predominantly negative public responses. The objective of this research is to examine the government's communication narrative and public reactions expressed in the video comments. A descriptive qualitative approach was used, employing content and thematic analysis, supported by NVivo 12 software to systematically map public opinion. The findings show that negative sentiment dominates (69%), reflecting unclear policy information, public distrust, and anxiety over children’s health services. This study highlights the importance of responsive, participatory, and adaptive health communication strategies in digital media contexts. The findings offer theoretical implications for developing public policy communication and practical recommendations for government agencies to design public communication based on digital literacy and social trust.
