Abstract

Scheduling in education has been a common issue faced, particularly concerning the mismatch between class hours and teacher availability. Addressing this necessitated careful precision and a significant amount of time for subject scheduling. Genetic algorithms emerged as a suitable choice for managing school subject scheduling due to their capability to address multi-criteria and multi-objective problems inspired by biological evolution. The concept of genetic algorithms could be effectively applied in the context of schedule arrangement within educational institutions. This study employed a quantitative methodology and implemented the Rapid Application Development (RAD) system development method. The utilization of genetic algorithms in subject scheduling, as demonstrated in this research, was deemed beneficial for correctional institutions previously engaged in manual scheduling processes. The outcomes indicated the success of the genetic algorithm approach in resolving school scheduling issues by seeking optimal scheduling combinations, as evidenced by achieving maximum fitness values and minimal errors (in this case, an error value of 0), indicating the absence of class schedule conflicts.

Abstract

The development of human-computer interaction (HCI) technology has undergone significant transformations along with the increasing need for efficient automation systems. This research aims to design a human-computer interaction model capable of operating a printer automatically without manual intervention. Through a programming approach based on voice commands and system input detection, this design is expected to achieve printer performance that is adaptive to user commands. The research methods used include system requirements analysis, interactive interface design, implementation of Python programming algorithms, and testing of automatic printer performance. The results show that the designed system is capable of executing print commands through voice input and program commands with a 90% success rate, and an average response time of 3-5 seconds. These findings demonstrate that the application of the HCI programming-based concept can optimize the document printing process efficiently, ergonomically, and innovatively

Abstract

This research aims to develop a website interface that allows the monitoring of Medium Voltage Air Channel Data (SUTM) at PT PLN UP3 Lubuk Pakam with the hope of improving the effectiveness of direct power network monitoring. The methodology applied is design thinking, which consists of five steps: empathize, define, ideate, prototype, and test. To understand user needs, direct observations were made in the field, which were then analyzed descriptively-qualitatively, and the results of the analysis are presented in the form of diagrams such as flowcharts and use cases. This interface is designed using Figma and results in a prototype that is based on a Single Page Application (SPA) with several main pages, including: Dashboard, Network Map, Data Monitoring, Disturbance and Inspection Reports, Inspection History, and Login modal.. Each page is designed to display technical data such as current, voltage, cable temperature, and infrastructure status through interactive Chart.js graphs as well as map visualizations that utilize the Google Maps API. The system also features the ability to export data in Excel or PDF format for reporting purposes. Evaluation is conducted with unit tests on each interface page that include clarity of view, filter interactivity, navigation speed, and export functionality. Testing results show that all units operate as expected by users. This interface is rated as responsive, informative, and user-friendly. A prototype has also been prepared to be integrated with an IoT-based backend and real-time database system. It is expected that this design can improve efficiency in monitoring and technical decision-making, as well as serve as an example for the development of similar systems in other PLN units to strengthen the reliability of electricity distribution at the national level.

Abstract

The development of information technology encourages PT PLN (Persero) UP3 Lubuk Pakam to improve efficiency in monitoring electricity loss and cumulative energy data. Currently, data presentation is still manual and less interactive, making the analysis and decision-making process more difficult. This study aims to design a web interface that presents loss data visualization dynamically and comprehensibly. The method used is Design Thinking, which consists of five stages: Empathize, Define, Ideate, Prototype, and Test. These stages are carried out iteratively and focus on user needs. The final result is a web interface prototype featuring interactive charts, simple navigation, and a login system to restrict data input access. The trial results show that the design is simple, responsive, and helps users quickly understand the data. This design is expected to support work efficiency and improve the quality of decision-making within PLN UP3 Lubuk Pakam.

Abstract

Abstract The Medan Class A Search and Rescue Office is a government agency whose main task is to carry out rescue, search and rescue operations. This agency is also a bridge for coordination with other agencies to improve the evacuation process in certain circumstances. An agency visit often occurs to this agency. Visitors or guests are often recorded in a special agenda or book which is recorded conventionally. This condition is certainly less effective because recording is still carried out using physical books which are easily damaged and often cause queues when guests register themselves. After knowing this problem, the author designed a guest book information system which was intended to fill in the features on the Medan Class A Search and Relief Office website. The goal is to fill in guest data more neatly and not cause data loss or damage. The method used in this research is the waterfall method, this method has its own specifications, so that a system can be developed according to what is desired. The way this method works is systematically and gradually so that all information and results will be recorded well and distributed accurately and quickly. The system was built using the PHP programming language with MySQL as the database.

Abstract

Data mining merupakan teknik pengolaan data yang mampu menggali informasi dari kumpulan data menjadi sebuah informasi yang bermanfaat seperti halnya data penduduk miskin di Provinsi Sumatera Utara. Badan Pusat Statistik Provinsi Sumatera Utara merupakan tempat yang memiliki kumpulan banyak data penduduk miskin dari setiap wilayah yang jika diolah dengan data mining akan menghasilkan sebuah informasi baru yang berguna seperti informasi tingkat kemiskinan yang meningkat di suatu wilayah kelurahan atau desa. Kesulitan dalam proses pemfilteran kelurahan atau desa untuk mengetahui kelurahan atau desa mana yang kemungkinan berpotensi kemiskinannya meningkat. Berdasarkan permasalahan yang ada maka dibuatlah suatu sistem data mining untuk pengelompokkan kelurahan atau desa menggunakan algoritma K-Medoids. Algoritma K-Medoids merupakan proses pengelompokkan data yang mengambil titik pusat cluster dari data tersebut dan memliki karakteristik serupa satu sama lain. Sistem ini dibuat menggunakan bahasa pemrograman PHP berbasis web yang nantinya akan mengelompokkan kelurahan atau desa dengan kategori zona hijau, zona kuning dan zona merah. Tujuan dibuatnya sistem ini untuk mengetahui tingkat kemiskinan di suatu wilayah dan segera ditindaklanjuti agar meminimalisir tingkat kemiskinan di wilayah tersebut.
