Abstract

Long-term load forecasting is intended to estimate the electrical load on an annual time period. It has an important role in the real control and security functions of an energy management system. This study is focused on designing long-term load forecasting in Palu electrical systems by using mamdani fuzzy logic method. The process of long term load forecasting is done by providings inputs; the number of customers, PDRB, and the power used for residences, businesses and public load at the previous year into the fuzzy logic system so that it is produced an output: the power used for the next year. The shows that mamdani fuzzy logic provide high level accuracy of forecasting and very small value of MSE.Index Terms:- fuzzy logic, MSE value, number of consumers, PDRB, the power used

Abstract

By using PSAT application, which simulates SVC for voltage drop improvement across an electric power system, a good performance will be produced. The better an electric power system, the smaller voltage drop that occurs in the system. This study aims to improve the voltage drop across the feeder of Raflesia rayon Palu. By inspecting the result of discussion, it can be known that by simulating the installation of SVC, which is contained in PSAT application, a small voltage drop is obtained. Abstract

Almost people in Indonesia ever seen quiz who wants to be millionaire. That quiz is sometimes using a polling method to get the right answer. Audience at studio must help a quiz’s participant by using keypad to get a right answer. Audience must push the button of   keypad where there is choice of answers. After that the answer will be display in a bar graph of percent. This called electronic polling system. With the aim of the research is to design and build a polling system with 6 slave-based serial RS-485, USB and microcontroller RISC and design and build a control system based serial RS-485, USB and microcontroller RISC efficient. The method used in this research is to study the reference, namely collecting materials that can be used as a reference, observation and study references required, inventory problems and needs in the design and manufacture, design and manufacture of hardware, software design and manufacturing, and perform testing. RS-485 is standard for communication with very long cable. This standard can use cable almost 1,2 Km long. RS-485 is very unique, this standard using master slave method. So only the master can control slave. Slave is using a microcontroller to manage data. AVR ATtiny2313 is a good microcontroller for slave. This is microcontroller very small and very fast. Base from design, implementation and test result indication implement of  RS-485 at polling system can be handle of case distance between master and slave. Abstract

The rapid development of the world of technology that covers almost all sides of life has encouraged innovation and human creation to make various tools with automatic work systems. Giving fluids using intravenous fluids is one way to enter fluids intravenously to meet the needs of fluids, electrolytes, drug administration, and feeding. The process of replacing intravenous fluids that has reached the minimum replacement limit must be carried out promptly and quickly, so that there will be no delay in changing intravenous fluids which will result in unstable pressure on the infusion set which will result in blood clots.In its testing, this tool can display information on the total number of intravenous fluid drops, and the condition of the remaining infusion fluid level on the LCD, as well as an additional display of the number of intravenous fluid drops per minute on theapplications client PC and / or smartphone. Adjusting the position of the mini servo of the infusion tap, can be adjusted when the appliance is not or not connected to the client. The sensor optocoupler used can also detect every drop of intravenous fluid. The reading of the sensor optocoupler used can experience an error by a difference of 100% if the dripping of the intravenous fluid is too slow. This is caused by the drip that is read twice by the sensor because one drop of intravenous fluid is read again after more than 50 milli second.Key words: microcontroller, nodemcu esp8266, optocoupler, load cell, mini servo sg90, smart infusion.

Abstract

Hydropower plants (PLTA), micro-hydro plants (PLTMH), and pico-hydro plants (PLTPH) in Indonesia use generators with excitation systems to generate fields or magnetic field amplifiers. The use of excitation systems in generators has several drawbacks. In the era of technological development, various types of generators have been developed, one of which is the permanent magnet generator. The Permanent Magnet Synchronous Generator (PMSG) has separate excitation from the synchronous generator and is carried out by permanent magnets to generate the magnetic field instead of coils. This research aims to explore the potential of irrigation channels being utilized as PLTPH using permanent magnet generators. The research method used is the experimental method. The experimental research method is a true experimental method where the equipment is tested and examined. Experimentation involves observation under artificial conditions, where these conditions are created and controlled by the researcher. This study shows that the irrigation channel in Porame Village has the potential to be used as a Pico-Hydro Power Plant (PLTPH) to provide electrical energy as an alternative lighting source, especially at night and during power outages from the national electricity grid (PLN). From the measurement and calculation results, the water flow rate at night is 0.3835 m³/s, with the water power being Pair = 1,901 watts. The type of turbine used is a crossflow turbine, utilizing a permanent magnet synchronous generator.

Abstract

Sun is one of the new renewable energy sources that can be used as a source of electrical energy that is available on the earth. But the sun in nature has a light intensity that varies greatly with each time and place. This issue can be overcome by using the Modification Sepic Converter tool with a fuzzy method to produce a stable electrical voltage so that it becomes usable electrical energy. This tool uses a series of converters connected to photovoltaics. The tool also uses a voltage sensor as feedback for the Fuzzy method to maintain a voltage of 21-23VDC to 48VDC.

Abstract

The Internet of Things concept is based on expanding the use and benefits of the internet by embedding controllers and sensors that can connect and share data continuously. A Smart Home prototype that can control door locks, lights and electrical pathways with easy control access. In this design, the device that will be used is an IoT-based controller, namely nodeMCU with connected actuators, namely servo motors, relays, and an IR sensor. The method used is to press a button on the web page and the system will respond to the request from the web page and convert it into an action, namely locking the door, or cutting off the electricity. To access it globally, by opening port forwarding on the router you can then access the web page of the smart home system prototype via the connected IP address so that the system can be controlled via the internet. With this system, it is hoped that users can increase time efficiency.

Abstract

To ensure that the performance of the protection system is still good or not in terms of protection, calculations and adjustments must be made to the safety relay settings, especially the over current relay. In the research, analysis of the over current relay protection settings on the 30 MW generator at the Poso 1 PT PLTA unit. Poso Energy obtained that the maximum load current data on the generator was 2042 A, while the calculation results obtained were 2041.7 A. For the relay (top) operating time in the specification data, the value was 1.4 s, while in the calculation results it was 1.3 s. And for the setting current (Is) in the specification data the value is 4.7 A, whereas in the calculation results it is 4.28 A. Over current relay (OCR) or over current relay is an auxiliary relay from the differential relay, the over current relay is used to secure the generator of the overcurrent in the Poso 1 PLTA is PCS-985GE-EN-H2-110V-5A. In the specification data, the TMS value is 0.15 s, while in the calculation results it is 0.14 s. This means that data in the field is slower to protect components from interference by 0.01 s. However, overall the overcurrent relay settings on the generator at the Poso 1 PLTA are still in good condition.
