Abstract

When consumers buy eggs, consumers should be more careful choosing the egg because there are some eggs that the quality has been decreased or the eggs are damaged and cannot be consumed anymore. This is caused by the length of egg storage time and didn’t have a tool that capable to detect the condition of the egg. People or egg breeders / entrepreneurs habit on looking the quality of eggs still use manual way, as a result it takes a long time because it must select the eggs condition one by one. The purpose of this research is to design and make the detection tool of chicken egg condition with ATmega 32 microcontroller using light sensor, so that the time efficiency and the result of egg selection becomes faster. . The use of tools is very easy and simple so that consumers or breeders / entrepreneurs can use it. Then to simplify and speed up the selection time of chicken eggs breeder or entrepreneur to distinguish good and damaged egg condition.

Abstract

Electrical energy has a very important role in the economic, industrial and social development of the community, this causes an increase in the demand for electrical energy in line with the increase in people's welfare, economic and industrial growth. On the other side, energy sources that are commonly used for power generation are increasingly expensive and limited in availability and cause environmental pollution. Based on these considerations, it is necessary to implement an energy management program to preserve energy resources and use energy effectively. Energy consumption intensity (ECI) is a term used to determine the amount of electrical energy consumption in a room. The calculation of the intensity of energy consumption carried out at the Tojo Una-una regent's office in Central Sulawesi consists of 3 buildings with 129 rooms, it was found that 7 rooms were categorized as quite efficient and wasteful.

Abstract

Utilization of solar energy in the generation of electrical energy has been widely carried out using solar panels. One example of its use at Tadulako University is public street lighting using solar energy as a source of electricity. The solar panels that have been installed so far have not been effective because of the different tilt angle positions. There are those who can capture the maximum rays of the sun and there are those who cannot capture the maximum rays of the sun and consequently the electrical energy generated is not optimal. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of changes in orientation and angle of inclination of solar panels on the output power and to optimize the performance of PLTS-based public street lighting in Tadulako University. The method used to determine the effect of the photovoltaic slope on the output power is to measure the short-circuit voltage and current from various forward directions and tilt angles. The influence of the slope and the direction of the front of the photovoltaic installation can be seen that the highest output voltage is 18.82V in the forward-to-west position with an angle of 5˚. The highest short-circuit current is 3.82A in the front-to-west position with a slope angle of 5˚. The highest output power is 47.97W in the front-to-west position with a slope angle of 5˚.

Abstract

This research discusses the influence of electrode depth, number of electrodes and the influence of the Wenner and Driven Rod methods on reducing the value of grounding resistance. The ground electrode is a conductor that is embedded in the earth and makes direct contact with the earth, where the ground electrode is used as a grounding system tool if a disturbance occurs in the electric power system. The method used is a quantitative method, namely a method that uses research data resulting from direct observation, where the data is produced in the form of numbers that will be analyzed. The results obtained were that the influence of the depth of the grounding electrode was not effective enough, because the soil used had moisture that was not much different between a depth of 1 meter and 2 meters. The effect of the number of grounding electrodes used is very effective because the resistance value obtained is lower. The effect of the Wenner method produces a greater reduction compared to the Driven Rod method, Wenner experienced a decrease of 52.4 ohms on dry soil and 33.4 ohms on wet soil and Driven Rod experienced a decrease in resistance value of 49.7 ohms on dry soil and 29.23 ohms on wet ground. The conclusion obtained is that the total electrodes used are more influential in reducing the grounding resistance value than the length of the depth of the implanted electrodes and the Wenner method is better in reducing the grounding resistance value than the Driven Rod method.

Abstract

The waste problem in Indonesia is a complex and evolving environmental issue, particularly in areas with high population density and economic activity. This study aims to cluster regions affected by waste issues using the Density-Based Spatial Clustering of Applications with Noise (DBSCAN) algorithm. DBSCAN was chosen for its ability to identify spatial patterns and detect outliers without requiring a predefined number of clusters. The data used includes spatial and non-spatial information related to waste volume and regional characteristics across various provinces in Indonesia. The results show that DBSCAN effectively groups waste-affected areas into several clusters based on data density and spatial proximity. These clusters can serve as a foundation for determining policy priorities for regional and national waste management. This research is expected to contribute to the development of more targeted and data-driven waste management strategies.
