Abstract

Self-Esteemisthe one's personalfeeling that he/she is valuable oruseful andself-confident that is based onmore than justthe reputation and prestige (Maslow, 1970). Individual, whichin this caseisMuslimfemale student who wear hijab, has higher self-esteemthanMuslim female studentwho does not wear hijab. This is becauseMuslimfemale studentwho wear hijab has been ready to fulfill the obligationin Islam religion, thatis requires to wear hijabin dressingfor women. Muslim female student who does notwear hijab has lower self-esteem because shefeels not ready tofulfill her religious obligation. There fore, researcher sare interested in examining whether thereisa difference between theself-esteemof Muslim female student who wear the hijab and not. This research is a comparative quantitative research whose subjects are Muslim students in Surabaya and Denpasar.  Data were collected using the Self-Pricing scale. The sampling technique is purposive sampling. Validity used is the validity of the content (logical and look).  The validity of the aitem moves from 0.3202 to 0.743. Reliability scale Self-esteem is 0.916. Data were analyzed by using Independent sample t-test statistic test.  The result is that there is no difference in self-esteem between Muslim students, both hijab and unlawful as evidenced by their probability value (p) of 0.233 (greater than 0.05).

Abstract

ABSTRACT When employees work, there must be expected by employees. That expectation is the fulfillment of job satisfaction. By the fulfilled of job satisfaction, employees will emerge organizational citizenship behavior. The companies in the beginning need to fulfill employees job satisfaction. But if the job satisfaction of employees is fulfilled, then the companies also feel its benefit, because employees will show organizational citizenship behavior. Therefore, this study will test the relationship between job satisfaction and organizational citizenship behavior on employees.Data collection was conducted at PT. Bali Tourism Development, PO Box 3, 80363 Nusa Dua, Bali in June 2011. The subjects of this study are 50 employees. The reliability score of Job Satisfaction Scale is 0,906 and the reliability score of Organizational Citizenship Behavior scale is 0,965. The normality score of job satisfaction variable is 0.867 and the normality score of Organizational Citizenship Behavior is 0.245. Job satisfaction and organizational citizenship behavioral is linear because its probability score is 0.052. From correlation score is 0,287 and probability score is 0.043, it indicates that there is a relationship between job satisfaction and organizational citizenship behavior. The coefficient of determination is 0.08.From the result of this study is expected to contribute to the sciences such as Industrial Organizational Psychology, Organizational Behavior, Human Resource Management and Industrial Relation and also practically to the sustainability of the company as an employer and employee as workers. Keywords: job satisfaction, organizational citizenship behavior, employees

Abstract

Intisari. Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh tingginya kasus turnover yang selama ini terjadi di beberapa perusahaan di Bali. Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk mengetahui ada atau tidaknya hubungan negatif antara work engagement dengan turnover intention serta melihat aspek dari work engagement yang memiliki hubungan negatif paling tinggi terhadap turnover intention. Penelitian ini dilakukan di PT. X Bandara Internasional Ngurah Rai Bali. Metode pengambilan data dilakukan dengan observasi, wawancara, serta pengisian angket yang terdiri dari dua skala terhadap responden. Work engagement diukur dengan menggunakan skala yang diadopsi dari skala pengukuran work engagement bernama Utrecht Work Engagement Scale (UWES). Turnover intention diukur dengan skala. Sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah karyawan yang bekerja di PT. X dengan status kontrak serta memiliki masa kerja di bawah tiga tahun. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat hubungan negatif antara work engagement dengan turnover intention. Sementara aspek dari work engagement yang memiliki hubungan negatif paling dekat dengan turnover intention adalah dedication (dedikasi).Kata Kunci: Work Engagement, Turnover Intention, Karyawan.

Abstract

The world situation with full of demands and limitations during the current pandemic can bring negative impacts on family. Family face burdens of daily needs for family life’s. Regarding to this condition, the ideal family size which is couple who has no more than two children, is an entity that needs to be considered to ensure the survivability of family. This study aimed to determine factors that related and predict the ideal family size for reproductive age couples in East Java. This study was quantitative study with cross-sectional approach. Data used in this study was secondary data from the Family Data Collection in 2021. Sampling technique was saturation sampling on reproductive age couples in 38 cities and regencies of East Java. Dependent variable was ideal family size. Independent variable was ideal age of marriage, participation in modern contraception, preferences for the ideal number of children, exposure to electronic media information, exposure to social media information, exposure to printed media information, and exposure to mass media information. Data analysis used multiple linear regression test. The study result stated variables that were related and had contribution in predicting ideal family size in reproductive age couples were ideal marriage age (p=0.001), participation in modern contraception (p=0.001), preference for ideal number of children (p=0.001), exposure to electronic media information (p=0.018), and exposure to mass media information (p=0.009). Based on these results, it is hoped that several intervention programs can be arranged by related institutions, targeted in the field that are in accordance with the study results.

Abstract

Tugas dan tanggung jawab perawat dalam memberikan pelayanan kesehatan dihadapkan dengan berbagai tuntutan yang dapat menyebabkan perawat mengalami situasi yang menekan. Situasi tersebut tidak jarang membuat perawat mengalami kejadian burnout. Burnout diartikan sebagai kondisi kehilangan energi, antusias, dan kepercayaan diri yang terjadi dalam diri individu sehingga mempengaruhi pencapaiannya. Kejadian tersebut dapat diatasi dengan baik apabila terdapat faktor pendukung dari internal yaitu ketangguhan dan faktor eksternal yaitu dukungan sosial. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peran ketangguhan dan dukungan sosial terhadap burnout pada perawat di Rumah Sakit Daerah Mangusada Badung. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian kuantitatif dengan jumlah subjek sebanyak 150 orang yang merupakan perawat di Rumah Sakit Daerah Mangusada Badung dengan menggunakan nonprobability sampling dengan teknik purposive sampling. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu regresi linear ganda. Hasil uji hipotesis mayor menunjukkan nilai signifikansi 0,000 (p < 0,05), dengan demikian dapat disimpulkan bahwa ketangguhan dan dukungan sosial berperan terhadap burnout pada perawat di Rumah Sakit Daerah Mangusada Badung. Koefisien beta terstandarisasi ketangguhan sebesar -0,481 dan nilai signifikansi 0,000 (p < 0,05), sehingga ketangguhan berperan terhadap burnout. Koefisien beta terstandarisasi dukungan sosial sebesar -0,030 dan nilai signifikansi 0,672 (p > 0,05), sehingga dukungan sosial tidak berperan terhadap burnout. Penelitian ini dapat dijadikan acuan dalam meningkatkan ketangguhan perawat dan pemberian dukungan sosial.

Abstract

Problems arise where elementary school student’s anxiety increased with the grade level when faced with the evaluation or examination. The problems were most often experienced by students when they will face the exam is a matter of anxiety. Lack of preparation when facing national exam can be overcome by increasing students studying motivation .This study aimed to determine the relationship between studying motivation and anxiety at sixth grade student’s elementary schools in Denpasar ahead national exam . This research is a quantitative correlation research. The subjects were 100 sixth grade elementary school students in Denpasar. Method of sample collection is by cluster random sampling method. Methods of data collection are Studying Motivation Scale which its reliability is 0.804 and Anxiety Scale which its reliability is 0.908. Normality of studying motivation variable is 0.148 and anxiety variable is 0.671. Linearity of variable studying motivation and anxiety variable is 0.002. Data analysis method is Pearson product moment correlation technique. The results show that there is a significant negative relationship between studying motivation and anxiety at Sixth Grade Students Elementary School in Denpasar Ahead of National Exam which its coefficient correlation is -0.303 with its probability value is 0.001. Abstract

A phenomenon called "Job Hopping" political elites facing the elections affects the instability of the party. This phenomenon is related to the lack of organization commitment and organizational citizenship behavior at the party functionaries. By committing to the organization, the party functionaries are able to identify themselves to the task and purpose and loyal to the organization. It then makes functionaries to demonstrate Organizational Citizenship behavior. This study is aimed at determining the relationship between organizational commitment and Organizational Citizenship Behavior at Golkar Party functionaries. This research is a quantitative correlation. The subjects are Golkar party functionaries in Bali by 97 people with age criteria to join at least 5 years, between the ages of 25-65 years and a minimum of High School education/ equivalent. Method of collecting samples is the convenience method. Methods of collecting data are the Organizational Commitment Scale with its reliability 0.814 and Organizational Citizenship Behavior Scale with its reliability 0.791. Normality of commitment organizational variable is 1.127 and Organizational Citizenship Behavior variable is 0.878. Linearity of organizational commitment variable and Organizational Citizenship Behavior variable are 0.000. Data analysis method is by using techniques of the Pearson product moment correlation. The result shows that there is a significant positive relationship between organizational commitment and Organizational Citizenship Behavior on Golkar party functionaries in Bali with 0.529 correlation values and probability value 0.000. Abstract

Adolescences have many developmental tasks. Some of them are getting involved into social role and capable of doing a proper career planning. When adolescences are faced by the strict culture, like Balinese Teenage Girls who involved into sekaa teruna organization, they have to actively participate in every cultural activity as a part of social role, and also doing career planning for their future’s preparation. In doing career planning, adolescences need the ability to manage their potential and retrieved information without ignoring their social roles. Therefore, Balinese Teenage Girls need to find the right way to do career planning and fulfill their social roles that are have a good self-regulation. Because of that researcher assumed that there is a positive relationship between self-regulation and career planning of Balinese Teenage Girls. This research method is quantitative-correlation, using 135 subjects that are Balinese Teenage Girls who joined sekaa teruna organization in Badung and their age ranges from 15-20 years old. Method used for collecting the data is questionnaire which is self-regulation scale and career planning scale. The reliability of self-regulation variable is 0.916 and for the career planning variable is 0.911. The normality of self-regulation variable is 0.098 and for the career planning variable is 0.269. The linearity between self-regulation variable and career planning variable is 0.000. The determination coefficient is 0.354. The analysis method is Pearson product moment correlation techniques. The correlation coefficient is 0.595 with 0.000 probabilities. It is proved there is a positive relationship between self-regulation and career planning of Balinese Teenage Girls. Abstract

One of the common phenomena in organization is the failure in fulfilling promise in retention management, which leads to psychological contract violation and triggers turnover intention. Other phenomenon is difference of employees personality. Employees with type A personality have characteristics which make them tend to react negatively and have high turnover intention. Analogously with Wattson Wyatt survey (2007) that found turnover level among bank employees reached 6,3%-7,5% which was high compared to other industries, it becomes important to study turnover intention among bank employees. According to that, researcher wants to find relationship between psychological contract violation and type A personality on turnover intention of bank employees, simultaneously and individually. Subjects in this research are 52 employees of bank X in Denpasar. Method used in this research is correlational study. Data are collected by questionnaire. Turnover intention questionnaire has 23 valid items and its reliability coefficient is 0,896. Psychological contract violation questionnaire has 18 valid items and its reliability coefficient is 0,870. Type A personality questionnaire has 35 valid items and its reliability coefficient is 0,965. Data are normal and linear. Multiple regression and partial correlation are run for data analysis. The result of this research finds positive significant relationship between psychological contract violation and type A personality on turnover intention. The reliability coefficient is +0,863. The value of coefficient of determination is 0,744, which shows psychological contract violation and type A personality has 74,4% contribution to turnover intention. Type A personality has positive significant relationship with turnover intention. The reliability coefficient is 0,556. There is no relationship between psychological contract violation and turnover intention. Keywords: turnover intention, psychological contract violation, type A personality, bank employees
