Abstract

This paper presents a case study of vehicle routing problem at CV. Boang Shutlecocok which is engaged in the distribution of Shutlecock. To fulfill market demand, The company operates to transmit Shutlecock to every distributors throughout the eastern Java. Because of Shutlecock distribution is from warehouse to distributors and every distribution are quite far from the warehouse, so that causing the distribution cost incurred by CV. Boang Shuttlecock increased. In this study a method to implement VRP (Vehicle Routing Problem) based on saving matrix, in which the method will provide the shortest route to minimize costs, distance and minimizing distribution time spent by the company. Before the implementation of saving matrix method on the company, total distribution costs incurred by the company amounted to Rp.5,882,771/period, after the VRP method applied, obtained a total cost of Rp.5,239,003/period, in order to obtain the distribution cost savings per period of Rp.643,764 or approximately 10.94%.

Abstract

Pembangkit Listrik Tenaga Mikro Hidro (PLTMH) merupakan teknologi bidang kelistrikan dari sumber energi terbarukan hidro. Potensi energi hidro di Indonesia cukup besar dan tersebar luas di seluruh kepulauan nusantara. Teknologi PLTMH terus berkembang dan perlu terus dikembangkan serta disebarluaskan kepada masyarakat, agar pengembangan dan pemanfaatan energi terbarukan hidro semakin luas dan semakin meningkat. Penelitian bertujuan mendesain dan mengaplikasikan PLTMH yang terpadu dengan pemanfaatannya untuk penyediaan air minum perdesaan, dipadukan dengan upaya konservasi daerah aliran sungai dan pengembangan sarana wisata edukasi teknologi energi terbarukan. Metode dan tahapan penelitian meliputi survey pemilihan lokasi, pengukuran dan analisa debit pembangkit, pengukuran dan penentuan tinggi jatuh hidrolik, desain bangunan sipil, pemilihan tipe turbin dan desain pekerjaan mekanikal-elektrikal dan penggambaran desain PLTMH. Hasil penelitian PLTMH Bumiaji adalah debit pembangkit (Q) 0,25 m3/dt, total tinggi jatuh hidrolik (Htotal) 4,00 m, daya terbangkit (P) 7,28 kW, tipe turbin propeller. PLTMH Bumiaji di manfaatkan untuk mendukung penyediaan air minum perdesaan, sebagai sarana wisata edukasi teknologi energi terbarukan dan diintregasikan dengan upaya konservasi daerah aliran sungai.

Abstract

The development of an industry in 2008 is very different with 13 years ago so that, need the reobservation on the curriculum. The graduate of Industrial Engineering of University of Muhammadiyah Malang can compete with the raduate from other university and can get the job. That is why the Industrial Engineering need to know the criteria and the necessity that the stake holder want in the development of industry, and the result of it can be use as the reference in the development of the curriculum in industrial technical. So that the graduate of industrial technical is realy appropirate with the stake holder want and ready to compete with other graduate from other private university. The aim of this research is to get the curriculum attributetha appropriate with the necessity of todays stake holder. Analytical hierarchy process (AHP) is use as the theory in this research. The criteria that the stake holder want in the service sector or manufacture sector are proffesion skill, managerial, interesting appearance, communication skill, computer ability, meanwhile the criteria for the private enterprise are discipline, modal, skill, creative, team work.

Abstract

This article attempts to explore approaches and applications of the location-allocation problems in the supply chain perspective. A review has been done for articles which have relation with the approach of location-allocation problems that includes the drivers of the supply chain such as inventory, transportation, service level, and customer demand. Moreover, the application of location-allocation problems that consider supply chain drivers is also discussed. In this article, a discussion of location-allocation discussions previously investigated by researchers is done through a literature review published in several reputable journal databases. 57 journal articles successfully collected and reviewed related approaches and applications used by researchers in location-allocation problems in a supply chain perspective. Analysis of the findings of this article can be summarized that approaches of the location-allocation problem in supply chain perspective can be divided into 2 areas: the echelon of the supply chain and the drivers of the supply chain.

Abstract

This article provides a systematic literature review of the driving factors influencing the application of green supply chain management (GSCM). The GSCM adoption issues have been widely given attention by researchers and practitioners since the adoption of GSCM would impact significantly on an organization's environmental, social, and financial performance. Most GSCM adoption has been discussed in the perspective of logistics management activities such as procurement, manufacturing, transportation, and reverse logistics. Nowadays, the discussion of GSCM adoption in terms of the driving factors affecting a successful GSCM application has led to complexity. In this article, a further review and discussion are conducted in terms of the driving factors dealing with GSCM adoption, including three major points, such as the driving forces of green procurement, green manufacturing, and green distribution and reverse logistics adoption. The driving factors are reviewed to highlight the recent factors affecting GSCM adoption.  In this article, 94 papers from the past study are presented, associating each point of the discussion.

Abstract

This paper reported the factors affecting the adoption of green procurement in Indonesian educational institutions.  A quantitative method is used to understand the effects between variables on green procurement implementation. Data from respondents working on the divisions of procurement from higher degree institutions in the province of East Java Indonesia are collected in this study. The results were indicated that there are no significant effects on middle management staff, awareness, and corporate responsibility on the implementation of green procurement on educational institutions. At the same time, there is a significant impact of green supply approaches such as ISO certification and eco-design product strategy on the adoption of green procurement.

Abstract

The spread of the corona virus (COVID-19) has had a massive impact on all business sectors in Indonesia. Food cold supply chain is a business sector that is quite badly affected. This is because the food cold chain requires special treatment to maintain its quality, has a relatively short life and cannot be returned. This article discusses the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic and its social impacts such as social restrictions and area lockdown on the business of food cold chain. It also discusses mitigation that needs to be done to anticipate related issues such as food supply-demand, food safety and some transportation challenges

Abstract

As a potential wide-separated island market, Indonesian logistics firms require a complex warehousing structure in distributing their products to entire part of areas. The problem raise when not all part of market areas receive the products with the same price and availability as the other places received. The product availability (customer responsiveness) in the multi echelon warehosing network depend on the optimum warehouse/distribution centre location determination Rosenfield and Pendrock (1986) have researched about the conflict between inventory level and customer service on the firms which practiced the centralized warehousing strategy. This research attempts to optimize the integrated strategies in implementing the warehousing policy, how to model the warehousing system effectively using the concept of warehousing location layout and the concept of centralized-distributed warehousing system with accommodating the probability of changes of the logistic elements like transportation-distribution, sales volume and the distance. The case study result shows that the optimum warehouse location should be located in the city of Pasuruan at the grid 514.2 horizontally and 143.8 vertically. From that case, the firm automatically could deliver the products in the huge scale to gain the unit cost reduction (economic sacle) which finally could raise the customer responsiveness (product avaliability). The sensitivity analysis also shows that the distance (from source to market) of determined warehouse location affect the transport rate.

Abstract

ABSTRAKProgram pengabdian masyarakat dilaksanakan untuk meningkatkan kreativitas guru untuk menulis karya ilmiah, meningkatkan kualifikasi guru, dan meningkatkan referensi kemampuan penelitian dalam berbagai sumber. Implementasi PKM telah mempresentasikan penyajian informasi dalam penyediaan utama kegiatan pelatihan, memberikan undangan kepada guru yang akan menjadi peserta pelatihan, melatih, dan melaporkan hasil kegiatan. Materi yang disajikan pada saat pelatihan, yaitu: 1) darurat dalam penyusunan dokumen ilmiah untuk peningkatan karier dan pengetahuan pendidik; 2) strategi untuk menulis prosedur dan jurnal ilmiah; 3) sosialisasi kegiatan pelatihan dan pengembangan menulis karya tulis ilmiah tingkat siswa SMP/MTs/Sederajat; dan 4) pelaksanaan pelatihan dan pengembangan menulis karya tulis ilmiah tingkat siswa SMP/MTs/Sederajat. Peserta pelatihan juga akan memiliki saran penulisan ilmiah tentang kegiatan dan praktik menulis dokumen ilmiah. Peserta  pelatihan guru di MTs Muhammadiyah 1 Malang. Hasil pelatihan yang diperoleh: 1) meningkatkan pengetahuan dasar tentang cara penggalian ide dalam menulis karya tulis ilmiah; 2) meningkatkan pengetahuan dasar tentang cara membuat sitasi menggunakan aplikasi Mendeley; 3) meningkatkan pengetahuan dasar tentang metodologi penulisan ilmiah yang baik dan benar; sarta 4) peserta mengetahui jenis jurnal ilmiah di Universitas Muhammadiyah Malang, yang dapat digunakan untuk mempublikasikan karya tulis ilmiah mereka.ABSTRACTThe Community Service Program is implemented to increase teacher’s creativity to write scientific papers, improve teacher qualifications by writing scientific papers and increase references to research abilities in various sources. The implementation of the program has presented the presentation of information in the main provision of training activities, giving invitations to teachers who will be a training participant, training, and report the results of activities. The materials presented during the training are as follows: 1) emergencies in the preparation of scientific documents to enhance educators' careers and knowledge, 2) strategies for writing procedures and scientific journals, 3) Socialization of Training Activities and Development of Scientific Writing for Junior High School Students / Equivalent, and 4) Implementation of Junior High School / MTs /Equivalent Writing Training and Development of Scientific Writing. The training participants also have scientific writing suggestions about how to and practice writing scientific documents. Teacher training participants at MTs 1 Muhammadiyah Malang.. After the training, the results obtained are 1) Increase basic knowledge about how to extract ideas in writing scientific papers 2) Increase basic knowledge about how to make citations using the Mendeley application 3) Increase basic knowledge of good and correct scientific writing methodologies, and finally 4) Participants know the types of scientific journals at the University of Muhammadiyah Malang, which can be used to publish their scientific papers.
