Abstract

The study was conducted aimed to determine the effect of liquid organic fertilizer with different doses of the forage quality gamal (G. sepium). Experimental design used in the study was completely randomized design (CRD) with 4 treatments and 5 replications. Liquid organic fertilizer dosing in treatments T0, T1, T2 and T3, respectively 0, 1, 3 and 5%. Parameters measured were protein and crude fiber content of forage gamal. The results showed the influence of liquid organic fertilizer on forage quality gamal is the treatment T2 (3% POC) that have the highest-quality value of treatments T0, T1 and T3. Value protein and crude fiber treatment T2 was 19,64% and 42,29%.Keyword : Gliricidia sepium; liquid organic fertilizer; crude protein; crude fiber

Abstract

Medical applications occasionally require PSI (patient-specific implant) designs to match the implant bone’s geometry. To verify and predict failures of the design as well as a treatment before the manufacturing process, FEA (finite element analysis) is employed to simulate when given a specific number of loads. Plenty of studies have done the FEA using a couple of types of software; however, to the best of our knowledge, there is no literature to compare those several FEA results with a comparable experiment. This study further analyzes material stress, particularly to compute the VMS (Von Misses stress) of the Ti6Al4V bone plate. Furthermore, this study proposes to examine and deliver a comprehensive understanding using the four most used software of COMSOL, Ansys, Abaqus, and Autodesk Inventor. The results of those four simulations are then compared with the stress test through the Hardness Vickers test. This study will contribute significantly as a novel comparison between VMS and hardness test as a stress prediction in an implant material.

Abstract

This study focuses on the functional thinking activities of students in solving the task of generalization of patterns in terms of cognitive style. The research subjects consisted of 2 junior high school students in grade VIII consisting of one student with a field-dependent cognitive style and one student with a field-independent cognitive style determined by using the GEFT instrument. An interview based on a pattern generalization test was used to collect data on students' functional thinking. The results showed that at the stage of identifying patterns, both subjects used symbol representation in identifying patterns. At the stage of determining the relationship between two quantities, Field Independent uses trial and error rules to determine the relationship between two quantities, while Field Dependent lists all terms to determine the relationship between two quantities. At the stage of determining the general rule, Field Independent identifies the regularity of the pattern from the results of the relationship between two quantities, while Field Dependent determines the general rule by identifying the difference between two adjacent terms and then summing with the term in question.
