Abstract

Problem-solving ability is one of the essential skills for students in learning mathematics. This ability can be developed through teaching and learning activities using student worksheet-based cooperative model. However, these student worksheets are still rarely found in teaching and learning activities in the classroom, so this research aims to develop student worksheets based on cooperative learning models used to develop students' problem-solving abilities. The study used development research methods with ADDIE procedures, namely analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The test of the developedstudent worksheet was carried out at SMP Negeri 1 Merauke, using valid, practical, and effective categories. It is collecting data through interviews, observations, questionnaires, and tests. Data analysis was carried out by data reduction, presentation, and conclusion. This research produces student worksheets based on cooperative learning models to improve students' problem-solving abilities. The results of this study contribute to enriching teaching materials in the form of student worksheets for educators which can improve problem-solving skills.

Abstract

Penelitian bertujuan ini untuk mengetahui pengaruh penggunaan aplikasi MathCityMap terhadap kemampuan numerasi siswa. Penelitian dilaksanakan di SMP Yapis Merauke dengan mengambil sampel siswa kelas VIII yang berjumlah 25 siswa. Sampel penelitian dipilih dengan menggunakan teknik cluster random sampling. Instrumen yang digunakan untuk mengungkapkan tujuan penelitian meliputi tes numerasi dan angket respon siswa. Data dianalisis menggunakan statistik deskriptif dan statistik inferensial. Untuk uji normalitas data menggunakan uji one sample Shapiro-Wilk dan dilanjutkan dengan analisis uji t satu sampel untuk menguji hipotesis penelitian. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kemampuan numerasi siswa setelah penerapan pembelajaran berbantuan MathCityMap termasuk dalam kategori tinggi dengan nilai rata – rata 75.60. Rata – rata gain ternormalisasi pada hasil belajar siswa adalah 0.756. Nilai n-gain tersebut berada lebih dari N-gain 0.70 sehingga terjadi peningkatan kemampuan numerasi siswa setelah diterapkan pembelajaran MathCityMap pada siswa kelas VIII SMP Yapis dan termasuk kategori tinggi. Respon siswa terhadap penerapan pembelajaran MathCityMap dikategorikan positif dengan persentase 92,5%

Abstract

Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pengembangan yang bertujuan untuk mengembangkan bahan ajar berupa LKS berbasis Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) pada materi program linear yang valid dan praktis. Model pengembangan yang diterapkan mengacu pada model 4-D dari Thiagarajan yaitu pendefinisian, pendesainan atau perancangan, pengembangan, dan penyebaran. Penelitian hanya dilakukan sampai tahap ujicoba terbatas dan tahap disseminate (penyebaran) tidak dilakukan sebab waktu penelitian terbatas. Penelitian dilaksanakan di MA Al-Hikmah kelas XI sebagai subjek penelitian. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan pemberian angket kevalidan kepada validator untuk melihat kelayakan produk serta angket kepraktisan kepada guru dan siswa untuk melihat kebermanfaatan produk yang akan diberikan. Analisis data dilakukan dengan perhitungan skor rata-rata yang dimasukan pada kategori penilaian skala likert, kemudian dikonversikan ke data kualitatif. Produk yang diperoleh berupa LKS Berbasis CTL pada materi program linier. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa bahan ajar LKS berada pada kriteria valid dengan skor rata-rata 89,33 dan praktis dengan skor rata rata 43,83 dan 49 berdasarkan penilaian siswa dan guru. Dengan hasil yang diperoleh tersebut maka produk LKS layak digunakan.

Abstract

This research discusses several problems found in the field, studying the learning process that is still dominated by the teacher, avoiding student participation in active learning activities, increasing student motivation in learning, and increasing collaboration between students. This research was conducted in one of the State Junior High Schools located in Makassar City, Indonesia in the academic year 2017/2018 which aims to improve student learning outcomes through the application of investigative group learning models. The research subjects were students of class VIII with 31 students. This class action research consists of 2 cycles, where each cycle consists of 3 meetings and 1 cycle test. Information related to student activities is collected using observation sheets and information related to student abilities is collected using tests given at the end of the cycle. Obtaining a score for cycle 1 is 70.48 with a completeness level of 70.79% and a score for cycle 2 is 76.32 with a completeness level of 87.1%. After applying learning with the investigation stage the group showed an increase in activity and the ability of students in the second cycle that was supported had reached classical completeness by 75%

Abstract

This research is an expostfacto research with a quantitative approach. The purpose of this study was to determine whether (1) the effect of self-confidence on the mathematics learning achievement of class X students of SMA Negeri 1 Merauke, (2) the effect of students who took and did not take tutoring on the mathematics achievement of class X students of SMA Negeri 1 Merauke, (3) the influence of the self-confidence of students who take and do not take tutoring on the mathematics achievement of class X students of SMA Negeri 1 Merauke. The sample in this study was 83 students in class X SMA Negeri 1 Merauke. The research instrument used was a self-confidence questionnaire, and the value of student achievement. Data collection techniques included distributing self-confidence questionnaires to find out the level of self-confidence of students taking and not taking tutoring classes, and administering math quizzes to determine student achievement. Research data were analyzed using descriptive analysis, and followed by inferential analysis. The results showed that (1) there was an effect of self-confidence on the mathematics learning achievement of class X students of SMA Negeri 1 Merauke with a significance value of 0.000 < 0.05, (2) there was an influence between students who took and did not take tutoring on students' mathematics learning achievement class X SMA Negeri 1 Merauke with a significance value of 0.006 < 0.05, and (3) there is an effect of self-confidence of students who take and do not take tutoring on mathematics learning achievement with a significance value of 0.000 < 0.05 with an effect of 39.5%.

Abstract

This study focuses on the functional thinking activities of students in solving the task of generalization of patterns in terms of cognitive style. The research subjects consisted of 2 junior high school students in grade VIII consisting of one student with a field-dependent cognitive style and one student with a field-independent cognitive style determined by using the GEFT instrument. An interview based on a pattern generalization test was used to collect data on students' functional thinking. The results showed that at the stage of identifying patterns, both subjects used symbol representation in identifying patterns. At the stage of determining the relationship between two quantities, Field Independent uses trial and error rules to determine the relationship between two quantities, while Field Dependent lists all terms to determine the relationship between two quantities. At the stage of determining the general rule, Field Independent identifies the regularity of the pattern from the results of the relationship between two quantities, while Field Dependent determines the general rule by identifying the difference between two adjacent terms and then summing with the term in question.

Abstract

This study aims to develop interactive worksheet using liveworksheet based on discovery learning to improve students' critical thinking skills. This study uses the Design and Development (D&D) method and the 4D development model consisting of 4 steps, namely define, design, develop, and disseminate. However, the disseminate stage was not carried out due to time constraints in the study. The implementation of the study was carried out in class VIII MTs Almunawwaroh Merauke with a sample of 47 students. The instruments used in this study consisted of a validation sheet to test the validity of interactive worksheet, an observation sheet to test the practicality of interactive worksheet, a student response questionnaire and a test to test the effectiveness of interactive worksheet. The results of the study obtained that the interactive worksheet device that had been developed had met the criteria of valid, practical, and effective. The results of the validity of interactive worksheet by experts obtained an average value of the validation results in each aspect in the valid category. The results of the practicality of interactive worksheet obtained an average value in the aspect in the practical category. The results of the effectiveness of the interactive worksheet were obtained from the results of student responses and the improvement of students' critical thinking skills. The results of the student responses obtained positive responses and students' critical thinking skills of 0.665 with a moderate category with an interpretation of effectiveness in the effective category. These results indicate that the use of the interactive worksheet that has been developed is an alternative to improve students' critical thinking skills.

Abstract

Tujuan pengembangan LKS berbasis kontekstual dengan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Think Talk Write (TTW) yaitu menghasilkan LKS yang valid, praktis, dan efektif. Penelitian pengembangan (Research and Develompment) menggunakan model 4D (four-D model) yang dimodifikasi menjadi 3D (Define, Design, Develop). Siswa SMP YPPK Santo Mikael Merauke kelas VII menjadi subyek penelitian, yang menjadi objek dalam penelitian ini adalah Lembar Kerja Siswa (LKS) berbasis kontekstual dengan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Think Talk Write. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa :(1) Berdasarkan hasil validasi dari tiga validator diperoleh bahwa LKS telah layak diujicobakan dan digunakan dalam pembelajaran di sekolah; (2) produk LKS setelah tahap akhir uji coba terbatas didapatkan bahwa LKS tersebut praktis dengan hasil uji lembar kepraktisan guru dan siswa dengan skor rata-rata 92,3% dan 90,8%; dan (3) Produk LKS yang dihasilkan efektif digunakan dengan hasil nilai rerata siswa menggunakan LKS berturut-turut adalah 72,4; 81,9; dan 83,2 dan persentase keefektifan sebesar 85,3%; 91,1%; dan 100%.
