Abstract

Era Globalisasi mendorong kita untuk lebih meningkatkan rasa nasionalisme dan kesadaran sejarah agar tidak nilai-nilai luhur bangsa ini tidak tergerus zaman modern. Pelajaran Sejarah adalah pelajaran yang memuat kisah masa lalu untuk menjadi pedoman hidup berbangsa dan bernegara. Pelajaran ini sesuai untuk menanamkan rasa nasionalisme dan kesadaran sejarah untuk menghadapi globalisasi. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menguatkan rasa nasionalisme dan kesadaran sejarah agar tercipta Indonesia yang lebih maju di masa depan, di tengah globalisasi yang sedang berjalan. Metode yang digunakan adalah melalui empat tahap yakni observasi awal, perencanaan, pelaksanaan, dan evaluasi. Kegiatan ini dilakukan pada 26 Maret 2022 di SDN 5 Sonoageng dengan melibatkan seluruh warga sekolah. Akan tetapi, fokus kegiatan ini adalah di siswa-siswinya. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa History Fest berhasil memunculkan dan menguatkan rasa nasionalisme dan kesadaran sejarah para siswa-siswi yang dibuktikan dengan antusiasme mereka dalam evaluasi berupa kuis sejarah. Hasil positif ini harus dipertahankan dan dikuatkan sampai kapanpun agar nilai-nilai nasionalisme dan kesadaran sejarah di dalam diri mereka dapat terus ada demi keberlangsungan kehidupan Indonesia di masa depan. Karena, masa depan Indonesia terletak pada generasi muda bangsa ini.

Abstract

Unequal participation in mathematics group discussions often restricts students’ opportunities to engage in meaningful numeracy practices and develop conceptual understanding collaboratively. While previous studies have widely examined cooperative learning and classroom interaction, limited research has investigated numeracy activities through the lens of positioning theory. This study aimed to describe fifth-grade students’ numeracy activities in group discussions based on their positioning as experts, facilitators, and novices. A qualitative descriptive approach was employed involving 25 fifth-grade students from a public elementary school in Malang, Indonesia. Data were collected through numeracy tests, classroom observations, and semi-structured interviews to explore students’ interaction patterns and participation during mathematical discussions. The findings revealed that expert-positioned students tended to dominate calculation procedures, strategy selection, and answer validation, which often reduced opportunities for novice students to actively construct understanding. However, groups characterized by active facilitator roles demonstrated more balanced interaction patterns, as novice students were encouraged to explain reasoning, ask questions, and contribute ideas during discussions. These interaction dynamics created more inclusive learning environments and supported meaningful numeracy engagement among group members. The study highlights the importance of teachers designing structured collaborative discussions that distribute participation more equitably and encourage dialogic interaction to strengthen students’ numeracy learning experiences.

Abstract

This study explores the emergence of scientific ethics through inquiry-based renewable energy learning among fifth-grade elementary students. While inquiry-based learning (IBL) is widely recognized for improving scientific literacy and conceptual understanding, its role in fostering scientific ethical values at the elementary level remains underexplored. Using a qualitative case study design at SDN Ciptomulyo 1 Malang City, data were collected through participant observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation, and analyzed thematically. The findings indicate that inquiry activities involving experiments with mini solar panels and windmills fostered honesty in data recording, responsibility in conducting procedures, openness to empirical evidence, collaborative engagement, and critical reflection on experimental outcomes. These ethical dispositions emerged through structured investigation and teacher-facilitated discussion. The study highlights that inquiry-based renewable energy instruction not only enhances conceptual mastery but also supports the development of scientific character in elementary science education.
