Abstract

Pulutan leaf (Urena lobata Linn) is a type of plant that has long been used by the community as a remedy for various diseases. This research was conducted to determine the components of active compounds contained in the ethanol extract of pulutan leaves using GC-MS. The identification results showed that 50% ethanol extract of the pulutan leaves contained 5 compounds dominated by carbonic acid,monoamide,N-(2-ethylphenyl)-,propyl ester, Stigmasta-3,5-diene, and n-Hexadecanoic acid. Whereas 70% ethanol extract contained 18 compounds dominated by 4h-pyran-4-one, 2,3-dihydro-3,5-dihydroxy-6-methyl-, 2-methoxy-4-vinylphenol, phenol, 2,6- dimethoxy-, and n-hexadecanoic acid.

Abstract

Peningkatan kapasitas produksi biodiesel menyebabkan meningkatnya produksi gliserol.

Abstract

This study explores the role of the trust economy in Islamic healthcare, focusing on how halal certification and service innovation contribute to building patient trust. Using a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) approach, this research analyzes 50 relevant studies published between 2015 and 2024. The findings reveal that halal certification plays a crucial role in assuring patients of compliance with Islamic principles, thereby enhancing their confidence in healthcare providers. Additionally, service innovations such as halal telemedicine and patient-centered care models significantly impact transparency, patient satisfaction, and loyalty. Studies indicate that hospitals implementing telemedicine solutions see a 40% improvement in service transparency, while those adopting patient-centered approaches report a 35% increase in patient loyalty. Despite these advancements, gaps remain in empirical research on the long-term economic impact of trust-based healthcare systems and the effectiveness of digital trust models. Future research should explore these aspects further and assess the role of policy frameworks in strengthening halal healthcare regulations. Islamic healthcare providers can enhance patient trust and ensure sustainable growth in the sector by integrating ethical, technological, and religious considerations.

Abstract

Abstract. Palupi E, Anwar F, Tanziha, Gunawan MA, Kurniawati AKF, Muslich M. 2020. Protein sources diversity from Gunungkidul District, Yogyakarta Province, Indonesia. Biodiversitas 21: 799-813. This research aimed to identify forgotten side-dish diversity from food-insecure area, Gunungkidul District, Yogyakarta, Indonesia. A qualitative data were gathered by using Focus Group Discussion followed by in-depth interviews with 24 key persons from Pucung and Mertelu villages, Gunungkidul. Proximate analysis and enzymatic gravimetric fiber analysis were also performed to get the first impression concerning the nutrient quality of the selected sources. As many as six edible insects, five aquatic animals, eight legumes and seeds, five fermented foods, eight mushrooms, three by-products, more than ten protein-rich plants, and five aquatic plants were identified as forgotten indigenous protein source from Gunungkidul, Yogyakarta. All aspects about scientific name, local value, Halal assurance, handling method, processing technique, and serving method of these sources have been presented on this article. Early investigation on the nutrient quality of the identified source reveals that grasshopper, caterpillar, aquatic snail, came out as the highest protein content compared to egg as a standard. Tempe -mlanding and -benguk also could be great alternatives as future plant-based protein sources. This investigation uncovers abundant protein sources diversity potential as future protein sources for supporting future food and nutrition security and sustainability.

Abstract

The absence of quality standards for moringa leaf powder has caused product variability, limiting consistency, competitiveness, and industrial use. This study developed quality criteria using the FACTS framework, integrating stakeholder priorities (via Exponential Comparison Method across 24 participants) with laboratory characterization of samples from five Indonesian regions. Stakeholders prioritized food safety, sensory quality, and nutritional consistency. However, food safety parameters were excluded as they are already regulated by Indonesian Food and Drug Authority (BPOM). Laboratory data revealed high variability in fineness (CV = 28.83%) and acid-insoluble ash (CV = 52.67%). Benchmarking against Kenya Standard KS 2848:2019 confirmed compliance for moisture and acid-insoluble ash, while fineness, ash, protein, and color required local specifications. Using Adopt–Adapt–Originate, acid insoluble ash was adopted (≤ 0.5%); moisture and fineness adapted; and ash, protein, and color originated. Stakeholder expectations (protein ≥ 27%; moisture ≤ 8%) exceeded empirical thresholds (≥ 23%; ≤ 10%), resolved through inclusive limits supporting a future tiered system. Proposed specifications, i.e. color (green to bright green), moisture (≤ 10%), ash (≤ 13%), acid-insoluble ash (≤ 0.5%), protein (≥ 23%), and fineness (≥ 80% passing 100-mesh) provide a scientific foundation for moringa powder standard in national level.
