Abstract

Sedimentation-erosion that happed at top canal of Duri is one of problem that must be described in analyzing DAS because canal of Duri is multifunction of canal that usefull in wealth of people. Method that used is analysis using some formulas of erosion-sedimentation such as USLE and MUSLE, MUSLE it self is the development of USLE method by changing erosivitas factor with flow factor. Prediction result of erosion potential with MUSLE model show that sedimentation happened at top canal of Duri condition of closing land 2012. It has amount 31.16 ton and in 2002 was 29.38 ton. It shows that sedimentation that happened 2012 was bigger than the sedimentation that happened before in 2002. This happened, because of the changing of closing land happened, had caused the increase of top debit in rain. as a result of the increasing of koefisien of surface flow. Erosion prediction with USLE model at top canal of Duri in 2002 was 45.72 ton/ha/year. Show that the result depends on how high the rain falls. The higher of rain falls the bigger of land erosion. Key word: Erosion-sedimentation, closing land, rain falls

Abstract

Water sources used by the Regional Water Company (RWC) is derived from the Wonosari’s reservoir of Bengkalis City which covers about 6 acres, but the volume of the reservoir storage is not sufficient to supply water in the city of Bengkalis. Therefore it is necessary to estimate wether the water from the canals of PT. Meskom Agrosarimas can fulfill the water needs for customers PDAM Bengkalis. there are three methods used to analyze the number of people, namely the geometric method, arimatik method, and the method of least squares. Reservoir water volume calculation was analyzed using the FJ Mock method, while the volume of water of canal PT. Meskom was analyzed using Rational Method. Calculation of population growth of Bengkalis District using Arithmetic method for the population of 10 years to come, namely in 2025 amounted to 112 667 inhabitants. Clean water needs Bengkalis District’s residents in 2015 amounted to 143 liters / sec and for 2025 is 180 liters / sec. Abstract

The need for clean water in Kecamatan Kandis increases with population growth. The community of kecamatan kandis utilizes water source from rain water and Samsam River water. The water obtained will be transmitted to the IPA to be processed into clean water. The minimum plunge of Samsam River was obtained at 217.89 liters / sec. The net water demand after 20 years is 127 liters / sec. In this research, the plan of raw water transmission pipeline system is divided into two networks that will be simulated with EPANET program. Old network along 14674.54 meters and new network along 33708,86 meters by using HDPE pipe. The head and debit values obtained from the simulated results determine which pump to use. This pump is a type of Grundfos type 2 pole pump. This transmission network simulation is expected to be a guide in PDAM planning in Kecamatan Kandis.Keyword: Transmission, clean water, EPANET, HDPE,PDAM.

Abstract

Most of the surface run off water in rainy season in Bangkinang flow to Petai I river, and this condition makes the Petai I river unable to deliver it anymore to Kampar river, it will flood some region in Bangkinang. A concept has been developed according to this condition it devides the raining region into two parts for the Jendral Ahmad Yani street, the east region to Petai I river and the west to Polsek Bangkinang channel. Soil permeability is determined to get a rate of infiltration in the retention pond. Soil samples were taken in the location of research using hand auger and then taken to the laboratory for testing permeability values with permeameter. From the test results obtained by the value of the infiltration is 7.44 x10-7 cm/sec. The retention pond is simulated to reduce debit of surface run off, and at the end it will reduce planned channel dimension, also the lands for drainage channel can be reduced. Retention pond are planned about six retention ponds then simulated by reducing the surface run off water approximately20%, but the retention pond size needed is too big ie between 28,7-5000 hectare, that’s why the retention pond size must be suited with the size of the land. After the making of this retention pond, the debit surface run off so small, and it makes the channel dimension stable. So the making of retention pond in west Bangkinang cant be made as alternetive to reduce the surface run off water. Key words :channel dimension, retention pond, surface run off.

Abstract

Local scours that occur continuously will cause damage to the pillars of the bridge that can endanger the stability of the bridge structure. Laboratory model has been developed to identify the phenomena of local scour on the oblong pillar with and without pillar protector. Kampar sand with grain size d35 = 0,285 mm, d50 = 0,330 mm and d65 = 0,380 mm and Gs = 2,63 is used in the bed of flume model. Three variations of  flow used in this research is classified on the type of subcritical flow with Froude number ranged from 0,46354 – 0,76903. Reynolds number in Fr1 scored 1658,416 (transitional flow), Fr2 scored 3081,683 and Fr3 scored 4381,188 then included in the turbulent flow. The results of the data analysis showed base granular moves in each test Froude value shown in the diagram Shields. Hjulstorm graphic also shows that the granules of gradation used in this research in moving zone. Hydrodynamic flow on the pillars of the downflow lead and create horsehoe vortex at the base of the pillar which eroded material around the pillar . Scour that occurs started having equilibrium at minute 75 . The maximum ratio of scour depth (ds/b)  is 0,44 which occurs in Q3PL .Pillar protector of curtain type can reduce scour depths up to 28,57%. Sediment transport analysis results proved that the higher the Froude number is used, the bigger the granules are transported.  Key Word : local scouring, laboratory model, oblong pillar, hydrodynamic flow,  depth ratio

Abstract

Land use change in the Petapahan Watershed will increase the flow of the surface. The surface flow will increase the amount of soil erosion and sediment transport capacity. Sediment transport will enter the Petapahan Reservoir, so that will lead to silting on thePetapahan Reservoir. It will have an impact on the function and effective life of the reservoir. The USLE method was used to estimate erosion in the Petapahan watershed. GIS was used to predict the value of USLE parameters. The result of analysis shows thatErosion occurring in Petapahan Watershed is in low grade (15 - 60 ton/ha/year) and the potential of erosion that goes to Petapahan Reservoir is 294,8287 ton/year.Keywords: land use, erosion potential, USLE, GIS

Abstract

Tenayan reservoir is a reservoir that built to supply demands of clean water to office areas of Tenayan Raya. Office areas of Tenayan Raya is an area that is planned to be the center of Pekanbaru city government. The central government which had previously been at the center of the city is already too crowded and this displacement can encourage equitable development to the suburbs. It required the analysis of the reliability of reservoir Tenayan. Reliability is known with simulating the availability of water for 20 years with the water demands of the office. The data what used to calculate the availability of water using Pekanbaru station rainfall data for the period 1994 - 2013. The availability of water is calculated by the method of Mock period of 10 daily. Demands of clean water for office simulated for 10 liter/second, 20 liter/second, 40 liter/second, 80 liter/second and 100 liter/second. With the effective capacity of the reservoir Tenayan is ± 840.528 m3, so the results from this analysis is known that the reservoir that able to supply 100 % the water’s demands of office are in simulated extraction of waters for 10 liter/second and 20 liter/second. Reservoir reliability at simulated extraction for 40 liter/second is 95,56%, reservoir reliability at simulated extraction for 80 liter/second is 92,22% and reservoir reliability at simulated extraction for 100 liter/second is 90,97%.Keywords: Tenayan reservoir, storage capacity, water balance
