Abstract

Abstract.Umrah is an act of worship often performed by Indonesians as another option when they cannot perform the Hajj pilgrimage. This has begun to be a consideration for various Umrah travel organising companies. PT XYZ has recorded an increase in the number of Umrah pilgrims, both men and women, for several years. Understanding the differences in the number of male and female Umrah pilgrims can be important information for companies when improving service quality, adjusting facilities, and developing more targeted marketing strategies. This study uses the Independent Sample T-Test method to compare the number of pilgrims based on gender between male and female Umrah pilgrims. Independent Sample T-test is a method used to compare the average of two mutually independent samples. An Independent Sample T-test can be used if the assumptions of normality and homogeneity are met. Based on the results of normality testing with Shapiro Wilk and homogeneity with Levene's Test, at a significance level of 5%, the data of PT XYZ Umrah pilgrims are normally distributed and homogeneous. So, a two-average test using the Independent Sample T-Test was conducted, which resulted in the conclusion that at the 5% significance level, there was no significant average difference the groups of male Umrah pilgrims and female Umrah pilgrims. Abstrak. Ibadah umrah merupakan ibadah yang sering dilakukan oleh masyarakat Indonesia sebagai pilihan lain ketika tidak bisa melaksanakan ibadah haji. Selama beberapa tahun, PT XYZ mencatat peningkatan jumlah jemaah umrah baik dari kalangan laki-laki ataupun perempuan. Memahami perbedaan jumlah jemaah umrah laki-laki dan perempuan dapat menjadi informasi penting bagi perusahaan saat melakukan peningkatan kualitas layanan, penyesuaian fasilitas, dan menyusun strategi pemasaran yang lebih tepat sasaran. Metode pada artikel ini menggunakan Independent Sample T-Test untuk menganalisis perbandingan jumlah jemaah berdasarkan jenis kelamin antara jemaah umrah laki-laki dan perempuan. Independent Sample T-Test merupakan metode yang digunakan untuk menganalisis perbandingan rata-rata dari dua sampel yang saling bebas (independent). Independent Sample T-Test bisa digunakan jika asumsi normalitas dan homogenitas terpenuhi. Berdasarkan hasil analisis melalui pengujian normalitas dengan Shapiro Wilk dan homogenitas dengan Levene’s Test, pada taraf nyata 5% data jemaah umrah PT XYZ berdistribusi normal dan homogen. Sehingga, uji dua rata-rata dapat dilakukan menggunakan Independent Sample T-Test yang mana menghasilkan kesimpulan bahwa pada taraf nyata 5%, tidak terdapat perbedaan rata-rata yang signifikan antara kelompok jemaah umrah laki-laki dan jemaah umrah perempuan.

Abstract

In the transformation of global infrastructure, the emerging 5G technology has become the cornerstone of a digital revolution that has changed the way humans do business and interact with each other. Huawei is one of the Chinese technology companies that has made a name as a global leader in this technology. However, the existence of Public Private Partnership (PPP) between China and Huawei makes western countries, especially countries that join the Five Eyes intelligence alliance feel threatened, especially in their cyber security. This research aims to analyze the Five Eyes policy towards the public private partnership between the Chinese government and Huawei. This research uses the theory of cybersecurity and the concept of Public-Private Partnership as the research analysis framework. This research found that Huawei's launch of 5G technology supported by the Chinese government caused opposition from Western countries that are members of the Five Eyes intelligence alliance. Based on national security reasons, the launch of 5G technology by Huawei and the Chinese government is considered dangerous and is allegedly a strategy of the Chinese government to conduct espionage and other spying activities against countries in the world to fulfill the interests of the country. This triggered the imposition of a ban on Huawei's 5G technology in several countries, including the Five Eyes member countries.

Abstract

The digital economy has transformed online games into complex virtual markets, where digital items hold real monetary value. This price volatility raises concerns about the stability of the virtual economy. This study analyzes the impact of digital goods price dynamics on economic stability in online game markets and identifies key factors contributing to instability. A quantitative approach with an explanatory design was used, collecting data through a survey of 150 active online game players who transact digital items. Multiple linear regression was employed to assess the effects of price volatility, asset scarcity, and transaction volume on economic stability. The results indicate that price volatility negatively affects virtual economic stability (β = −0.47; p < 0.05), while asset scarcity (β = 0.32; p < 0.05) and transaction volume (β = 0.41; p < 0.01) positively impact stability. These findings suggest that uncontrolled price fluctuations reduce purchasing power and player confidence, while proper scarcity management and high transaction liquidity help stabilize the virtual economy. The study recommends that game marketplace developers implement price stabilization mechanisms, such as price floors and ceilings, regulate digital goods supply, and enhance transaction transparency and frequency to foster a stable, fair, and sustainable virtual economy.

Abstract

This community service activity aims to implement an Internet of Things (IoT)-based telemonitoring system for pond water quality to assist shrimp farmers in monitoring the environmental conditions of their shrimp ponds in real-time. The main problem faced by the people of Tarahan Village, Ketibung District, South Lampung is the fluctuation of pond water quality which is difficult to control because monitoring is still done manually and not continuously. To overcome this, the community service team designed and implemented a telemonitoring system that utilizes an ESP32 microcontroller with temperature, pH, salinity, and TDS sensors connected to an online platform so that data can be accessed via a device or computer. The activity method includes a pre-implementation stage (site survey, needs analysis, and system design), an implementation stage (equipment installation and training for shrimp farmers on system usage), and a post-implementation stage (mentoring, equipment performance evaluation, and community response analysis). The results of the activity showed that the telemonitoring system functioned well and was able to provide continuous information on water quality parameters. The shrimp farmers community showed high enthusiasm and increased understanding of the importance of water quality control to maintain pond productivity. Overall, the implementation of this telemonitoring technology has been proven to improve the efficiency of shrimp pond management and encourage digital transformation in the traditional fisheries sector. This program is expected to become a model for the application of appropriate technology that can be replicated in other coastal areas to support sustainable fisheries cultivation that adapts to technological developments.
