Abstract

Women teachers also have a big role in the General Election in Indonesia but the rate of women representation in politics is still low. This research tries to analyze political orientation of women teachers that includes cognitive, affective and evaluative obtained. The conclusion obtained is that the political orientation of women teachers is vary depending on the activity in the community. Women teachers who are active in political organizations have very strong orientation while the orientation of teachers who have non- political activity is not strong. The goal of action-oriented women teachers through a tool of political and organizational activities is both active and passive participation. Abstract

Guru perempuan  memiliki peran besar dalam PemilihanUmum di Indonesia tetapi tingkat keterwakilanperempuan dalam politik masih sangat rendah. Penelitianini mencoba untuk menganalisis orientasi politikdari guru perempuan yang meliputi aspek kognitif,afektif dan evaluatif. Menggunakan metode kualitatif, penelitian ini menyimpulkan orientasi politik dari guru wanita bervariasi tergantung pada aktivitas merekadi masyarakat. Guru perempuan yang aktif dalamorganisasi politik memiliki orientasi yang sangat kuat.Sementara guru yang memiliki aktivitas non-politik, memiliki orientasi yang lebih rendah.kata kunci: Orientasi politik, guru perempuan, pemilihan umum Women teachers also have a big role in the GeneralElection in Indonesia but the level of women representation in politics is still very low.
