Abstract

Halal food is the most important thing to be considered by the Indonesian Muslim community. Halal food must be free from pork contents both as a basic ingredient and in the manufacturing process. Halal issues arise when there is a process of mixing meat or lard (adulteration) in halal animal meat for economic purposes. This research is a literature study that aims to examine the development of research on methods of detection of pig content in food products to ensure a food product is free from pig content and its derivatives. The method used is the study of literature in the form of journal articles, proceedings, conferences, online news and official sites that have relationships or keywords related to the method of pig content detection. The assessment results show that the detection methods that can be used are PDK (Pork Detection Kit) and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) analysis methods to detect pig protein. RT-PCR (Real-Time Polymerase Chain Reaction) and digital PCR duplex droplet methods for detecting pig DNA. Gas chromatography (GC) methods, UV-Vis spectroscopy and Fourier-transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR spectroscopy) for analysis of lard. The digital PCR (dddPCR) duplex droplet method has a very specific ability to detect pork content in processed food products compared to other methods. The dddPCR detection and quantification system is suitable for quality control and routine analysis of meat products. This can be taken into consideration for the development of research methods to detect pork content in processed food products that are more effective and efficient in the future.

In this digital era, helpful character, tolerance, social act, and good morality are declining. This research assesses if project-based learning instills those characters in the students. This qualitative research used NVivo software to analyze interviews, observation, document analyses, and Focus Group Discussions. Principles, instructors, and students from various elementary schools in Semarang which apply project-based learning participated in the research. Morning alms, visits to orphanages, donations on Fridays, anti-bullying socialization, and incidental activities such as sharing takjil and social fundraising varied in each initiative. Those projects enable students to use their talents in real-life situation. Project based learning develops social skill of students although the plan and the implementation are difficult. Students' social awareness, teamwork, and empathy increase significantly. Abstract

This community service program aimed to improve the English pronunciation skills of students at Anharul Ulum Islamic Junior High School, Blitar Regency, particularly in a pesantren-based educational context. Prior to the program, by conducting a pre-test, the students demonstrated moderate to low pronunciation proficiency, characterized by limited accuracy in segmental and suprasegmental features, low fluency, and a lack of confidence in oral production. To address these issues, the program was implemented through three stages: introduction, implementation, and evaluation. During the implementation stage, Interactive Whispering Games were employed as a game-based learning strategy to promote active participation, collaborative learning, and reduced speaking anxiety. The effectiveness of the program was evaluated through pre-test and post-test assessments involving 53 students, complemented by observation and reflective feedback from students and teachers. The results revealed improvements across all assessed pronunciation aspects, with the highest increase observed in fluency, indicating enhanced spontaneity and confidence in oral production. Qualitative findings further showed increased student engagement, motivation, and positive attitudes toward pronunciation practice. Overall, the program demonstrates that Interactive Whispering Games are an effective, low-technology, and contextually appropriate approach for enhancing pronunciation skills in pesantren-based junior high schools and offer a practical model for similar community service initiatives. Overall, the program highlights the effectiveness of game-based learning strategies for supporting pronunciation development in a pesantren-based junior high school environment and offers a practical model for similar community service initiatives.
