Abstract

This qualitative descriptive study aims to describe the representation of literal and nonliteral speech acts in the novel "Dear Allah" by Diana Febi. From a theoretical perspective, this research uses a sociopragmatic system or view. While the method or technique of data collection in this research is a documentation study or literature study, in this case, the literature review is in the form of texts contained in the novel Dear Allah by Diana Febi. The novel is the primary data source. Documentation or literature studies are carried out through direct appreciation and rational understanding of the meaning implied in the novel. The results of this study show (1) representative literal speech acts in Diana Febi's novel Dear Allah and (2) representative nonliteral speech acts in Diana Febi's novel Dear Allah. This research makes a scientific contribution, especially in linguistics, on the sociopragmatic aspect so that understanding the implied meaning of a novel can be understood as a whole in terms of social meaning.

Abstract

ABSTRACT The linguistic features of procedural texts, particularly in the context of daily cooking recipes, have a highly specific communicative function, namely providing step-by-step guidance to readers so that an activity can be carried out with the expected results. The main objective of this study is to describe and analyze the characteristics of the linguistic features of procedural texts found in daily cooking recipes on the Cookpad application. Specifically, this study aims to identify and describe the use of procedural text linguistic features in selected Cookpad recipe samples. This research employs a qualitative approach with a descriptive research design to analyze the characteristics of procedural text linguistic features in the Cookpad application: Daily Cooking Recipes. The qualitative approach was chosen because the study seeks to describe and analyze linguistic phenomena in depth in order to obtain accurate data. The research stages involved collecting procedural text data from cooking recipes on the Cookpad application, followed by qualitative data analysis through the processes of data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The findings indicate that the linguistic features of procedural texts include the use of numbering as indicators of stages or sequence, imperative verbs or command forms, temporal conjunctions, technical terms, and persuasive statements. The study concludes that the linguistic features of procedural texts in daily cooking recipes on the Cookpad application are simple and straightforward, making them easy for readers to understand and follow. These findings contribute to the field of education by serving as a reference for teachers and students in learning procedural texts in Indonesian language instruction at the secondary and upper-secondary education levels. ABSTRAK Kaidah kebahasaan teks prosedur Teks prosedur dalam konteks resep masakan terutama masakan harian memiliki fungsi komunikatif yang sangat khusus atau khas, yaitu memberikan panduan langkah demi langkah kepada pembaca agar dapat melakukan suatu kegiatan dengan hasil yang diharapkan. Tujuan utama penelitian ini untuk mendeskripsikan serta menganalisis karakteristik kaidah kebahasaan teks prosedur dalam aplikasi cookpad: resep masakan harian. Secara spesifik, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi dan mendeskripsikan penggunaan kaidah kebahasaan teks prosedur dalam sampel resep cookpad. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan jenis penelitian deskriptif untuk menganalisis karakteristik kaidah kebahasaan teks prosedur dalam aplikasi Cookpad: Resep Masakan Harian. Pendekatan kualitatif dipilih karena penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan dan menganalisis fenomena kebahasaan secara mendalam sehingga menghasilkan data yang akurat. Tahapan penelitian dilakukan melalui pengumpulan data teks prosedur resep masakan dari aplikasi Cookpad, dilanjutkan dengan analisis data secara kualitatif melalui proses reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian ini berkaitan dengan penggunaan kaidah kebahasaan teks prosedur yang meliputi penggunaan penomoran sebagai petunjuk tahapan atau urutan, penggunaan kata perintah atau kata kerja imperatif, konjungsi temporal, kata-kata teknis, serta pernyataan persuasif. Penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kaidah kebahasaan teks prosedur dalam resep masakan harian pada aplikasi Cookpad bersifat sederhana dan lugas sehingga mudah dipahami serta diikuti oleh pembaca, dan temuan ini memberikan kontribusi bagi guru dan pelajar sebagai referensi pembelajaran teks prosedur dalam mata pelajaran Bahasa Indonesia pada jenjang pendidikan menengah dan atas.

Abstract

The object of introducing culture or tradition (rokat Pakarangan) is one of the natural riches that we should be proud of and grateful for. Every place in Sumenep has its own culture and traditions, and each culture or tradition has its uniqueness. Even though the Aeng Panas village government has declared Aeng Panas local culture or traditions as native regional culture, there are still no significant results because there are still many obstacles. Aeng Panas has many local cultures and traditions. However, many students and teenagers still need to learn about it through the Guided, Reading, Interpreting, Understanding, and Applying (DM4) learning approach or model. Many results were obtained. One of them is that the culture or traditions in Aeng Panas village will grow and continue to be preserved by teenagers or students for several years. The expected benefits of this research are that it can help the local village government introduce the culture or tradition of Rokat Pakarangan to achieve the goal of teaching and preserving it. The method used in this research is a survey method to carry out observations and studies. The result of this research is to know the introduction of the culture or traditions of the Aeng Panas rokat Pakarangan through a guided learning approach or model, reading, interpreting, understanding and applying (DM4).
