Abstract

Riset ini mengkaji tentang Pola Perilaku Pencarian Informasi Dosen CPNS  Unila Berbasis Literatur Elektronik dan mengevaluasi keterpakaian sumber-sumber literatur elektronik yang diakses oleh dosen-dosen tersebut. Metode dalam penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan instrument survey. Riset ini menghasilkan pola perilaku pencarian informasi dosen CPNS Unila, pemetaan keterpakaian sumber informasi elektronik. Jadi riset ini tidak hanya mengkaji soal perilaku pencarian informasi dan kebutuhan informasi dosen saja, akan tetapi berupaya melihat keterpakaian literatur-literatur elektronik. Penelitian ini menggunakan model perilaku pencarian informasi dari Ellis. Hasil penelitian ini diperoleh pola perilaku pencarian informasi dosen CPNS Unila dimulai dari tahapan starting sebesar 90%, chaining sebesar 93,4%, browsing sebesar 76,56%, differentitating sebesar 100%, monitoring sebesar 100%, dan extracting sebesar 94,25% yang merupakan model pencarian informasi dari teori model Ellis. Selain itu, sumber-sumber informasi yang digunakan oleh dosen CPNS Unila dalam ketermanfaatan literature-literatur elektronik yang dilanggan menggunakan Springer dikarenakan memiliki subject keilmuan yang beragam dalam menunjang proses pembelajaran maupun penelitian para dosen CPNS Unila.

Abstract

Information technology in libraries is applied to meet the needs of users in obtaining various information quickly, precisely, and accurately. A website-based library is one form of information technology support to optimize the use of library information and materials, as well as optimize the substantive work of librarianship, starting from the procurement, processing, circulation of library materials, retrieval and information dissemination. So that in its implementation, a readiness from various aspects is needed so that the system can run optimally in meeting user needs. The objectives to be achieved in this research are to find out the readiness of the Muhammadiyah 2 Senior High School library Bandar Lampung in developing the E-Library website, as well as to find out what inhibiting factors are in developing the E-Library website. The writing method uses qualitative-descriptive data and data collection techniques are carried out through observation, interviews, documentation, and literature review which are then processed by data analysis techniques. The results of this paper indicate that the readiness of the Muhammadiyah 2 Senior High School library Bandar Lampung in developing the E-Library website has not been fully maximized, to be able to develop a library automation system there are still obstacles such as the librarians who are there not yet fully able to develop and operate the website E-Libraries, there is still an inadequate internet network access, and the menu features on the E-Library website are still incomplete. So there is still a need for improvement in preparing the automation system in the library of Muhammadiyah 2 Senior High School Bandar Lampung, such as improving the menu feature system, internet network, and human resources so that the development process is more optimal.

Abstract

Students today are a digital native generation, which since birth have been surrounded and familiar with the development of ICT. So that this generation has different characters including learning styles. To be able to keep up with and follow the learning styles of students, a teacher is required to have skills in literacy, especially digital literacy. This study uses a qualitative descriptive approach and data collection using questionnaires, interviews, literature study, and triangulation. Furthermore, the determination of the sample using purposive sampling technique. Data were analyzed using a quantitative descriptive approach and deepened with qualitative analysis. The results of the research show that the digital literacy competencies of MA teachers in Bandar Lampung are seen from the categories, (1). Internet searching "most" of the teachers already have a fairly good competence. (2). Hypertext Navigation, only "half of it" are competent (3). Content evaluation, there are not half or only "almost half" who already have competence (4). In the knowledge assembly category, "in general" the teachers already have competence. The conclusion is that attention and efforts are still needed to improve the digital literacy competence of MA teachers in Bandar Lampung, especially in the hypertext navigation and content evaluation categories.
