Abstract

Abstract: This study aimed to develop mathematics learning device with problem based learning’s model of fraction number for 7th grade SMP/MTs. Learning device in this study are lesson plans and activity student sheet. Lesson plans and activity student sheet are developed to structured in accordance with the steps of the scientific approach that is observing, questioning, reasoning, trying, and communicating. This study method used is 4D model that consist of define, design, development, and disseminat. Because of time and cost, the study was only to development step. Based on the data analysis of mathematics learning devices is very valid with mean validity of lesson plans is 3,85, and mean validity of student activity sheet is 3,73. This student activity sheet has also reached the practical qualification with mean percentage of student responses is 100% on a small test group. Based on the results of this study can be concluded that the product of lesson plans and activity student sheet the mathematic based on the curriculum of 2013 on the fractional material to SMP/MTs with the use of the problem based learning’s model is very valid and practice.Keywords: Fraction Number, Mathematics Learning Device, Problem Based Learning, Research and Development.

Abstract

Abstract: The background of this study is the limited of mathematics learning documents as supporting learning referring to 2013 Curriculum. This study aimed to develop mathematics learning documents with problem based learning’s model on set  for 7th grade SMP/MTs. Learning instruments in this study are lesson plans, and student worksheet. This study method used is 4D model by Thiagarajan that consist of define, design, development, and disseminate, but the study was only to development step. Based on the data analysis, it can be conclude that mathematics learning documents is very valid with mean validity of lesson plans is 3,62, and mean validity of student worksheet is 3,53. This student worksheet has also reached the practical qualification with mean percentage of student responses is 96,67% on a small test group.

Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to produce mathematic learning device in the form of syllabus, lesson plan, and student worksheet based on discovery learning on Lines and Angles topic for 7th grade. The study model used is ADDIE by Dick and Carry that consist of analyze, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. Development process is done until the development stage. The research instrument used is validity instrument and practicality instrument. The validity instrument is a validation sheet to assess the feasibility of syllabus, lesson plans and student worksheet. The practicality instrument is in the form of observation sheet of learning process implementation and questionnaire of student response . Learning device developed are validated by four validators. The research trials were conducted in SMP Negeri 13 Pekanbaru which is tested in a small group and large group. Small group trial aims to assess the practicability based on student response questionnaire, while the large group to assess the practicability based on the observation sheet of learning process implementation and student response questionnaire. Based on the data analysis, it can be conclude that the average value for syllabus is 3.42 in very valid category which means that syllabus is feasible to be used; as well as the average value for lesson plan and student worksheet are 3.71 and 3.71. That are in very valid category which means that lesson plan and student worksheet are feasible to be tested. The student worksheet valued as very practical with mean score for small group and large group testing are 3,67 and 3,38. The lesson plan also valued as very practical with mean percentage is 96,67%. These categories mean that the lesson plan and student worksheet are feasible to used in school.Keyword: Mathematics Learning Device, Discovery Learning, Development Research, ADDIE Model

Abstract

Abstract: The background of this study was students’ low achievement at X.4 class of SMA Negeri 1 Kateman in learning Math that reached KKM on the material Shape Rank, Roots, and logarithm that 15 of 35 students with a percentage of 42.85%. The aim of this study was to improve learning process and learning outcomes of the students in Math by applying Two Stay Two Stray (TSTS) Cooperative Learning type. The design of this research was the Classroom Action Research consisted of two cycles and at the end of each cycle conducted tests. The subjects of this research were students class X.4 of SMA Negeri 1 Kateman at the second semester of the school year 2015/2016. The students consisted of 10 males and 25 females. The data collection instrument was the observation sheet both of teacher and students activities and Math test. Observations were conducted to collect data on the activities of teachers and students. Math test are used to gather data on the results of students’ in learning Math. Based on data analysis of the teacher’s and students’ activities, it shows that teaching and learning process in Math by applying TSTS cooperative learning type was getting better because the learning process was conducted according to what was planned in the lesson plan. The results show that improvement in students’ learning outcomes was 40% on the basic score became 54.29% in the first cycle and 80% in the second cycle. This study concluded that the application of TSTS cooperative learning type can improve the students’ learning process and learning outcomes of X.4 class of SMA Negeri 1 Kateman at second semester of academic year 2015/2016.Keywords: Math learning outcomes, Two Stay Two Stray Cooperative Learning Strategy, Classroom Action Research.

Abstract

ABSTRACT: The Research by the application of 5E learning cycle model of learning has been conducted in order to determine the improvement of student learning outcomes in basic competencies solve systems of linear equations of two variables and create mathematical models of the problems associated with the system of linear equations of two variables. The subject of the research is students of class VIII.c of SMPN 10 Tapung in the first semester academic years 2013/2014. This research is a form of action research conducted in two cycles on two basic competence ( KD ). Results of this study indicate that the learning cycle 7E model to increase the participation of learners in the classroom , resulting in improved achievement of students in the junior high school math class VIII.c SMPN 10 Tapung. This research is a classroom action research with two cycles. Each cycle has four stages, the stages are planning, action, observation and reflection. The results show the activity of teachers and students have done well after doing the action. There was enchanment in the number of students who achieved KKM (minimum criteria of achievement) in formative test at the end of each cycle is compared to the number of students who achieve KKM on base score. Starting from 26,92% increased to 50% and increased to 69,23%. Based on these results, we can conclude that the application of the learning cycle 5E to improve learning process and improve the mathematics learning outcomes of students grade VIII.c SMP Negeri 10 Tapung in the first semester academic year 2013/2014.Keywords : learning cycle 5E model, learning achievement, Classroom action research*) Mahasiswa
