Abstract

Abstract: This research is a class action research that aims to improve the learning process and to increase the student’s mathematics learning outcomes by applying cooperative learning Think Pair Square (TPS) approach. The subjects of this research are the student of class X2 SMAN 11 Pekanbaru at second semester of academic years 2014/2015, which amounts to 34 students. This research consists of two cycles, each cycle consists of four stages: planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. Data collected through observation and learning outcomes test.  Data analysis is done by observation data analysis and student’s mathematics learning outcomes data analysis. The action is successful if teacher’s activities and student’s activities increase in every meeting and the number of students who reach Minimum Mastery Criteria increases in every cycle. Results of research on the observation sheet shows the activity of teachers and students have executed better and has improved at each meeting. Percentage students that reach knowledge Minimum Mastery Criteria in base score is 8,82% increase to 41,18% at the first cycle and 73,53% at the second cycle. The result of this research showed that cooperative learning Think Pair Square approach improve the learning process and increase the mathematics learning outcomes the students of class X2 SMAN 11 Pekanbaru at second semester of academic years 2014/2015. Abstract

This research is a Classroom Action Research (CAR) with the aim for improving the learning process and increasing students' mathematics learning achievement using the Two Stay Two Stray’s approach. In this study there were 20 subjects. The research was conducted in 2 cycles where each cycle consisted of 4 stages, namely planning, implementation, observation and reflection. Observations of students and learning achievement tests were carried out in collecting data in this study. If there is an improvement and the activities of teachers and students in each meeting and the number of students who reach the Minimum Mastery Criteria (MMC) increases in each cycle, the action is declared successful. In this study, it is known that on the observation sheet it is known that the activities of teachers and students have improved at each meeting. The percentage of students who succeeded in achieving the MMC on the basic score was 20% and increased in the first cycle to 40% and continued to increase to 75% in the second cycle. The results of the study provide an illustration that the cooperative learning with TSTS approach can encourage the improvement of the learning process and increase mathematics learning’s achievement of students class XII IPA 2 SMAN 11 Pekanbaru in the odd semester of the 2021/2022 academic year.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk Meningkatkan sikap matematika siswa melalui implementasi model cooperative learning tipe STAD. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian tindakan kelas yang terdiri dari empat komponen yaitu perencanaan, tindakan, pengamatan dan refleksi. Uji coba lapangan dilakukan pada siswa kelas VII SMP Negeri 12 Yogyakarta. Data dalam penelitian ini dikumpulkan melalui pemberian tes, observasi, angket serta wawancara. Analisis data dilakukan dengan kualitatif yang meliputi langkah-langkah pengumpulan data, penyajian data, pengambilan simpulan dan analisis data observasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan keterlaksanaan pembelajaran pada presentase ≥ 80% dan dikatakan bahwa indikator keberhasilan pelaksanaan pembelajaran telah tercapai. Sikap matematika siswa dalam pembelajaran matematika ditunjukkan dengan kenaikan tingkat presentase skor angket ≥ 10% dan minimal kualifikasi presentase skor angket berada pada kategori cukup baik. Penelitian ini sangat direkomendasikan sebagai alternatif pembelajaran matematika untuk meningkatkan sikap matematika siswa, juga direkomendasikan pada guru yang mengembangkan model pembelajaran untuk meningkatkan mutu pembelajaran matematika khususnya kemampuan afektif siswa.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to analyze the relationship between teachers and school conditions on school test scores. Correspondence and cluster analysis are the analytical methods used. For school conditions to be classified into 3 clusters, 4 clusters, and 5 clusters, cluster analysis is used. The variable is tested using the G test to determine the affect on school test scores. This study resulted in a variable that has an impact on school test scores, school conditions with a p-value < α, so a correspondence analysis plot was formed to show the correlation between school conditions and school test scores. Good school conditions will result in good school test scores. Meanwhile, a reasonably good school conditions will result in fairly good school test scores. The correlation of school test scores with teachers shows that good school test scores are resulted by teachers with very good quality. Fairly good school test scores are resulted by good and fairly good teachers. Meanwhile, poor school test scores are resulted by teachers with poor quality. Keywords: School test scores, teacher, school conditions, correspondence analysis, and cluster analysis.

Abstract

Development research has become one of the popular studies in the 5.0 society era. Technological sophistication is a driving factor for educators and researchers to create shopisticated learning media. Technology-based learning media comes with their own uniqueness, one of which is game-based media (GBM). GBM has changed students’ perception that learning can be done by playing game. Before GBM is  applied in the learning process, it is necessary to evaluate the media. This is intended so that GBM has good quality. GBM with high quality can improve its functions as a learning media. On the other hand, GBM can not only present an element of fun learning, but can also have a positive influence on the cognitive, affective, or psychomotor aspects of students. This literature review research provides theory for educators and other researcher to asses GBM. Overall, there are four aspects that need to be assessed in determining quality of game-based media, validity, practicality, effectiveness, and sophistication. Abstrak Riset pembangunan menjadi salah satu kajian yang populer di era masyarakat 5.0. Kecanggihan teknologi menjadi faktor pendorong bagi para pendidik dan peneliti untuk menciptakan media pembelajaran yang canggih. Media pembelajaran berbasis teknologi hadir dengan keunikan tersendiri, salah satunya adalah media berbasis game (GBM). GBM telah mengubah persepsi siswa bahwa belajar dapat dilakukan dengan bermain game. Sebelum GBM diterapkan dalam proses pembelajaran, perlu dilakukan evaluasi media. Hal ini dimaksudkan agar GBM memiliki kualitas yang baik. GBM dengan kualitas tinggi dapat meningkatkan fungsinya sebagai media pembelajaran. Di sisi lain, GBM tidak hanya dapat menghadirkan unsur pembelajaran yang menyenangkan, tetapi juga dapat memberikan pengaruh positif terhadap aspek kognitif, afektif, atau psikomotor siswa. Penelitian tinjauan pustaka ini memberikan teori bagi pendidik dan peneliti lain untuk menilai GBM. Secara keseluruhan, ada empat aspek yang perlu dinilai dalam menentukan kualitas media berbasis game, validitas, kepraktisan, efektivitas, dan kecanggihan.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the influence of teaching motivation and school facilities on the professional competence of high school mathematics teachers because teaching motivation is something important to consider in reviewing the performance of a teacher, as well as facilities owned by schools, completeness of facilities at schools will optimize the learning process in class. In reviewing the effect of teaching motivation and school facilities on professional competence, an inferential analysis using multiple regression. This research type is a survey with a population all of high school mathematics teachers in Pekanbaru City. Questionnaires for teaching motivation and school facilities, as well as tests in the form of multiple choice and non-test in the form of questionnaires to measure professional competence were instruments in this study. The data for this study obtained from 33 high school mathematics teachers in Pekanbaru City, 33 fellow teachers, and 909 high school students in Pekanbaru City. The result show that teaching motivation affects the professional competence of teachers and school facilities do not affect professional competence.

Abstract

Indonesian education has implemented various curricula that have undergone improvements with each change. Currently, there is an independent curriculum designed to provide opportunities for teachers to develop teaching materials by taking into account the character, interests and talents of students. The independent curriculum has begun to be implemented in Lhokseumawe city junior high schools, but in reality this implementation is not accompanied by socialization and training related to the preparing of learning tools. This results in the teaching and learning process that occurs not in accordance with the system intended by the independent curriculum. Teachers need assistance in order to prepare learning tools so that the objectives  of the independent curriculum can be achieved. One of the alternatives that can be done to overcome this problem is to conduct socialization and training in preparation of learning tools adapted to the independent curriculum for MGMP junior high School teachers in Lhokseumawe City. The purpose of this service is so that teachers, especially junior high school mathematics teachers in Lhokseumawe city who are members of MGMP, can prepare learning tools in accordance with the independent curriculum. The method used in this service is Participatory Rural Appraisal (PRA), where in this activity participants actively participate in the entire process carried out from the initial stage to the final stage. Overall, the stages of activities carried out in this service in the form of training in the preparation of independent curriculum learning tools consist of four stages, namely the planning stage, preparation stage, implementation stage, and evaluation stage. The results of this service are in the form of learning tool documents that are in accordance with the objectives contained in the independent curriculum and the satisfaction survey of training participants. Based on the results obtained from 57 respondentsit is known that the level of participant satisfaction with quality of the material presented was 90.35%.As for the aspect of the speaker, the level of satisfaction of the training participants obtained was 86.67%

Abstract

Kualitas pendidikan menjadi kunci utama dalam menghasilkan sumber daya manusia yang kompeten. Salah satu cara untuk memperoleh kualitas pendidikan yang memadai yaitu dengan meningkatkan hasil belajar kognitif. Cooperative learning tipe problem posing bisa menjadi alternatif pembelajaran yang mampu meningkatkan hal tersebut. Penelitian ini dilakukan di Program Studi Pendidikan Matematika Universitas Malikussaleh pada mata kuliah Pemecahan Masalah Matematis dengan jumlah mahasiswa sebanyak 21 orang. Teknik pengumpulan data berupa observasi dan tes. Data hasil belajar kognitif mahasiswa diperoleh dari hasil tes kognitif mahasiswa secara individu. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data maka diperoleh, 95,24% mahasiswa mencapai skor minimum dan dominan pada rentang 92-100 yang berarti memberi dampak pada hasil belajar kognitif mahasiswa. Untuk nilai perkembangan individu terlihat 12 dari 21 mahasiswa memperoleh nilai perkembangan 30, dapat dipahami bahwa terjadi peningkatan hasil belajar kognitif mahasiswa di setiap siklusnya. Pada nilai perkembangan kelompok, di siklus I terdapat 1 kelompok super dan di siklus II terdapat 3 kelompok super yang berarti bahwa peningkatan nilai individu memberi dampak pada peningkatan nilai perkembangan kelompok. Maka berdasarkan hasil penelitian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa cooperative learning tipe problem posing mampu meningkatkan hasil belajar kognitif mahasiswa pada mata kuliah Pemecahan Masalah Matematis.

Abstract

The need for learning media that supports learning outcomes and can increase student motivation in the learning process, so that the development of learning videos becomes an alternative because it helps students to understand the concepts of the material presented. This research aims to test the validity, effectiveness, and practicality of the developed learning media. This type of research is called research and development. The method used is Borg and Gall, which have been modified. However, in this study, this research is limited to the development stage. The validity of the media is assessed through a questionnaire given to 4 experts, 2 media experts and 2 material experts. Based on the validation results by media experts and material experts, ratings of 82% and 80% were obtained respectively. Therefore, the learning video is declared valid. Based on the test results of 83 students, it was found that 78.31% of students achieved a minimum grade of B with effective criteria. Furthermore, based on the practicality test from the student response questionnaire, a score of 83.43% was obtained. This means that the learning media is valid and practical to use. Thus, this learning media can be declared valid, effective, and practical, and it has benefits in supporting the linear algebra course. Therefore, this media can support the learning process in class becomes more enjoyable.

Abstract

Kondisi akademis siswa Indonesia kerab kali menjadi topik hangat untuk diperbincangkan dikarenakan kompetensi yang dimiliki masih sangat kurang. Terutama kompetensi literasi numerasi. Banyak faktor yang mempengaruhi kompetensi siswa di antaranya adalah faktor internal dan eksternal. Faktor internal terdiri dari motivasi siswa, kegigihan siswa dalam belajar dan sifat kompetitif. Faktor eksternal yang mempengaruhi di antaranya adalah lingkungan belajar di sekolah dan rumah, kelengkapan saranan dan praktik mengajar guru di sekolah. Pengembangan media pembelajaran dapat menjadi salah satu solusi dalam meningkatkan kemampuan literasi numerasi siswa. Model yang digunakan dalam mengembangkan media tersebut adalah Borg and Gall sampai tahap ketujuh. Namun pada penelitian ini dibatasi hanya sampai pada tahap pengembangan saja, yaitu validasi oleh para ahli. Berdasarkan hasil penilaian oleh ahli media 1 diperoleh persentase sebesar 91,11 % dengan kategori “Sangat Valid” dan persentase penilaian oleh ahli media 2 diperoleh sebesar 92,78 % dengan kategori “Sangat Valid”. Selanjutnya, berdasarkan penilaian oleh ahli materi 1 maka diperoleh persentase sebesar 95,54% dengan kategori “Sangat Valid” dan ahli materi 2 sebesar 96,42% dengan kategori “Sangat Valid”. Berdasarkan hasil validasi oleh para ahli media dan ahli materi maka disimpulkan bahwa media pembelajaran interaktif berbasis Android terintegrasi Smart Apps Creator yang dikembangkan layak untuk diujicobakan kepada peserta didik.
