Abstract

Abstrack: This research is aimed to describe and differentiate the process skill through the implementation of learning cycle 7E model for the material dynamic electricity in the class of X SMA Negeri 4 Pekanbaru. Population in this research is all of X classes which consist 9 classes. Meanwhile the samples are 37 students in X3 as experimental class and 37 students in X4 as control class. The instrument of data collection in this study is a process skill performance test which consists of 10 multiple choice items. The research instrument used is Physics process skills achievement test array of aspect: observing, predicting, planning experiment, applying concept and concluding. Data were analyzed by descriptive and inferential methods. Descriptive analysis of student’s process skill after learning with implementation of Learning Cycle 7E model is 86,15% of the good category and declared effective learning efficiently. The value of t tests is p = 0.010 means p < 0.050, then H0 is rejected. Which means that there are differences in process skill test result between students in experiment class that taught using learning cycle 7E and control class that uses conventional learning with a level of 95%. It can therefore be concluded that the implementation of learning cycle 7E can be used as an alternative in the learning process in the classroom X SMA Negeri 4 Pekanbaru.Key Words: Learning cycle 7E, Process Skill, Dinamyc Electricity

Abstract

Abstract: The research aimed to determine the increase in students’ communicative character through the implementation of Snowball Throwing learning model on the states of matter and the density. The research subjects were 38 students in class VII7 SMPN 20 Pekanbaru. The design of this research was a pre-experimental with one group pretest-posttest design. Data collection Instruments in this research was students' communicative character questionnaire consisting of 17 Statements. Data were analyzed using descriptive analysis and improvement N-gain. The results showed increase on communicative character descriptor is 0,37 with predicate medium. So, it can be concluded that science physics learning applying Snowball Throwing learning model effective to improve the students' communicative character in calss VII7 SMP 20 Pekanbaru.Key Words: Communicative Character, Snowball Throwing

Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to describe the ability of free-body representation diagrams MA Darel Hikmah students in solving Newton's Law application problems. The research used is a survey method. The population is all students of class X MA Darel Hikmah Pekanbaru, namely: class X1, class X2, class X3 which amounted to 67 students, while the sample determined using slovin formula with error rate of 5% of the population then, the sample of 57 students. The results obtained mean score for the ability to determine the forces acting on the object of 7257.5%, for the ability to determine the forces acting on the object of 60.55% and for ability to determine the forces that work against the x and y axis Of 4122.5. Thus the ability of representation of free body diagrams of class X student Darel Hikmah is in very low category.Key Words: The nature of Physics learning, The ability of free body diagrams representation

Abstract

Abstrak : Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui aktivitas belajar IPA Fisika siswa pada materi Kalor di kelas VII SMPN 20 Pekanbaru. Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VII4 sebanyak 38 orang yang terdiri dari 14 siswa laki-laki dan 24 siswa perempuan. Instrumen pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini adalah lembar observasi aktivitas belajar siswa. Analisis data dalam penelitian ini adalah analisis deskriptif untuk melihat gambaran dari aktivitas belajar IPA Fisika siswa melalui penerapan strategi Index Card Match. Dari hasil analisis data menunjukkan: aktivitas belajar IPA Fisika siswa melalui penerapan strategi Index Card Match mengalami peningkatan setiap pertemuannya, pertemuan pertama persentase aktivitas siswa didapatkan sebesar 75,6%, pertemuan kedua 83,6%, dan di pertemuan ketiga sebesar 87,8%. Dengan demikian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa penerapan strategi Index Card Match dapat digunakan untuk meningkatkan aktivitas belajar IPA Fisika siswa di kelas VII4 SMPN 20 Pekanbaru. Kata Kunci : Aktivitas, Index Card Match, Kalor
