Abstract

ABSTRACT : The research carried out base on the lowly of the result of social subject in grade 5th SDN 163 Pekanbaru which is about 56,95 within minimal completeness criterion stated is 72. This research is classroom action reseac rh. The purpose of this research is to improve the quality of the learning process and learning outcomes IPS Va grade students of SD Negeri 163 Pekanbaru through the implementation of the strategy map concept into the learning process. Research carried out in May of the academic year 2014/2015 in 163 primary schools in the class Va Pekanbaru. The instrument used in this study is the teacher and student activity sheets as well as learning about the test results. This research data analysis techniques descriptive analysis techniques. This study presents an increase in the activity of teachers in the first cycle of teacher activity 61.25% with the good category, the second cycle increased to 75% in both categories, the third cycle increased to 86.25% with very good category. Student activity based on the results of research on the first cycle sbesar 65% in both categories, the second cycle increased to 73.75% with the good category and third cycle increased to 83.75% with very good category. Based on the research of student learning outcomes increased visits from the basic score 56.95 to 64 in the first cycle with peresentase increase of 12.38% from the base score, cycle II, the average value of 75.80 with a percentage increase of 33.09%, and the cycle III with an average of 79.90 with the percentage increase of the basic score of 40.30% increase learning outcomes IPS seen from mastery learning outcomes of students who reach the KKM is 72 on each daily tests. Results of this research indicate that the implementation of the map concept in the learning process IPS can improve the quality of the learning process and learning outcomes. Abstract

Abstract: The problems of this research is the low of learning process in Social studies. The low learning result was found at 4th grade of  SD Negeri 153 Pekanbaru because the teacher was lack in doing learning process and teacher also didn't apply the learning model in teaching Social. Based on the problems, the alternative way is using appropriate learning model in students' encironment. Problem based learning gives students an opportunity to solve the problem and connect the learning activity in their daily life. The aims of this research is to improve the learning process and the result of Social studies score for 4th grade students of SD Negeri153 Pekanbaru. This research was classroom action research. The sample of this research was 4th grade of SD Negeri 153 Pekanbaru which the total 38 students. The result of the research can be seen in teachers' mean score in 1st cycle which was 60% in Mediocare category . It improved about 10% to 70% in Good category. The 2nd cycle improved to 80% in Good then from 5% to 85% in exellentcategory. Students activity in the 1st cycle had 55% in good category of mean score improved 10% to 65% in good category. In the 2nd cycle, the mean score was 75% in good category improved 10% to 85% in excellent. Data of students acore also had the improvement before the application problem based learning only 16 students could pass the standart score (42,10%) and their mean was 64.31. The improvement in 1ts cycle was 24 students (63.15%) could pass with their mean score was 75.57. The 2nd cycle improved into 33 students (86.64%) with the mean score was 81.57. The total improvement of students score was 26.83%. According to the result, it can be concluded that hypothesis of the application problem based learning can improve the process of social learning for 4th grade students of SD Negeri 153 Pekanbaru. Abstract

Abstract: This research is motivated by the problem of low yields third grade social studies students of SDN 005 Makmur. Causative factor of such students are passive students in learning activities, students do not develop material to a wider scope and students have not been able to associate the concepts that have been studied with everyday life. This research is an experimental research, the research was conducted 4 meetings and the control class 4 meetings experimental class, where before entering the first meeting of each class in different days, both classes are given about Pree test, and after the meeting to four each -masing classes are also given about the post-test. In this study, researchers applied the approach Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL). Subjects were IIIa class, there are 26 students and class IIIb as many as 26 students. Implemented in the second semester of academic year 2014/2015 on 16 April to 15 May 2015. Data collection techniques include test results of study and documentation of learning activities. Having done the research and data analysis, that the results of the acquisition Pree disimpulkanlah test the experimental class with an average of 65.04 and the control class with an average of 59.57, the results of the test data processing Pree T test showed t ≤ t table or 0.135 ≤ 2.021, so Ho accepted and Ha rejected. In other words, the mean scores test Pree there are no significant differences in learning outcomes. While the results of the acquisition of post-test scores in the experimental class with an average of 75.65 and the control class with an average of 73.77 then the data processing post-test t test seen that t ≤ t table ≤ 2,021 or 0,066, so Ho accepted and Ha rejected. In other words, the mean score of post test results to learn there are no significant differences.
