Abstract

The phenomenon of illegal investment in Indonesia is increasingly rampant along with the development of financial technology and low financial literacy of the public. This study aims to examine the behavior of illegal investment from a psychological perspective by highlighting the psychological impact it causes. The research method used is library research through the analysis of various sources such as journals, articles, and official reports. The results of the study show that illegal investment behavior is not only triggered by a lack of financial and legal knowledge, but also by psychological factors such as social influence and trust in public figures (celebrity endorsement effect), cognitive bias (optimism bias and overconfidence bias), and the phenomenon of Fear of Missing Out (FoMO). These factors encourage individuals to make investment decisions emotionally without rational consideration of risk. The impact is not only in the form of financial losses, but also psychological trauma, loss of social trust, and decreased public participation in formal financial institutions. This research emphasizes the importance of increasing financial literacy and psychological awareness of the community as a preventive effort against illegal investment practices in Indonesia.

Abstract

Free sexual behavior among adolescents is an increasingly alarming social problem with serious consequences for physical health, psychological well-being, and the moral fabric of society. Islamic psychology, as a discipline integrating modern psychological principles with Islamic values and epistemology, offers a unique analytical framework and distinctive intervention approach in understanding and addressing this problem. This study aims to systematically examine the causal factors, prevention procedures, and forms of intervention against free sexual behavior among adolescents from the perspective of Islamic psychology through a literature review method. Data were collected through documentation from national and international scientific journals, academic books, and relevant publications issued within the past ten years. Data analysis was conducted through content analysis and thematic analysis. The findings indicate that Islamic psychology understands free sexual behavior as a distortion of fitrah triggered by the weakening of the qalb, 'aql, and nafs al-lawwamah functions. Effective prevention rests on strengthening the internalization of tawhid values, character formation (akhlaq), and the role of family and Muslim community institutions. Recommended interventions include Islamic counseling, tazkiyatun nafs, spiritual guidance, and Islamic value-based programs proven effective in changing Muslim adolescents' attitudes and behaviors.

Abstract

This article examines the psychology of digital games and virtual reality through the lens of Self-Determination Theory (SDT) developed by Edward Deci and Richard Ryan. The study explores four interrelated psychological phenomena: flow experience, immersion, gamification, and the perceptual effects of virtual reality. Flow refers to the state of complete concentration and enjoyment during gameplay when challenge and skill are balanced. Immersion describes the psychological state of being deeply absorbed in a digital environment. Gamification involves applying game elements to non-game contexts to enhance motivation and engagement. Virtual reality affects human perception by providing realistic three-dimensional sensory stimulation that alters spatial awareness and information processing. Using SDT as the grand theory, this paper argues that digital games and virtual reality are psychologically compelling because they fulfill three basic psychological needs: autonomy, competence, and relatedness. The analysis draws on studies from Indonesian universities and international research to contextualize these phenomena within the Indonesian educational and digital landscape. Findings suggest that these technologies offer significant potential for educational applications while also presenting challenges such as digital dependence and cybersickness. Balanced and informed use of digital technologies is recommended.
