Abstract

Kebutuhan air semakin meningkat untuk pemenuhan kebutuhan hidup manusia dan hal ini merupakan tantangan serius diantara desakan pembangunan dan industri, polusi dan perubahan iklim yang mengancam sumber daya alam. Kegiatan penyuluhan dan pendampingan kepada masyarakat menjadi salah satu alternatif dalam upaya menstimuli masyarakat Warembungan untuk melestarikan hutan dan sumber air bersih.  Memberi kesadaran kepada masyarakat agar tanggap dalam menyikapi krisis air bersih  di masa depan dengan tidak lagi melakukan penebangan liar, jangan membakar hutan untuk kepentingan apapun dan tidak membuka kebun di area hutan lindung. Mengajak masyarakat untuk bersama-sama melakukan penghijauan bekerja sama dengan dinas kehutanan minahasa dan  mahasiswa UNIMA.  Hasil angket yang dibagikan kepada responden menunjukkan bahwa  pengetahuan  perangkat desa dan masyarakat desa warembungan masih rendah tentang bagaimana melestarikan hutan dan air bersih. Keterlibatan dalam mengawasi dan menjaga hutan masih rendah . Hasil pertemuan dan diskusi  menunjukkan adanya peningkatan pengetahuan dan kesadaran tentang pentingnya menjaga dan melestarikan hutan dan mata air yang ada di hutan Warembungan. Masyarakat dan perangkat desa bersama mahasiswa terlibat dalam penaman bibit kayu dan ada 150 bibit kayu yang di tanam.  KataKunci: Konservasi hutan, pelestarian sumber air bersih

Abstract

This research was motivated by the lack of availability of tools and practical guides for measuring fluid temperature, which made it impossible to conduct practical activities. The aim of this research is to develop a tool for measuring liquid temperature that is suitable for practical activities in the UNIMA physics laboratory. This research is a research development (research and development) that consists stages, namely preliminary studies, literature research, design of internship tools, production of internship tools, validation of experts/ experts, revision 1 (improvement 1), functionality test, validation of experts/ emperts, revision 2 (improvement 2) and reporting. The data was collected through experiment and expertvalidation. The test results of the practical tool for measuring the temperature of this liquid show the highest percentage of errors at 2,3%, while the validation by materials experts and media experts for tools and practical guides for measuring the liquid temperature is in the range of 90-100%. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that a tool and practical guide for measuring fluid temperature with valid or proper qualifications has been created.

Abstract

The Discovery Learning model is a series of learning activities that maximally involve all students' abilities to search and investigate systematically, critically, and logically. so, they can find their own knowledge, attitudes, and skills as a form of behavior change. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of the Discovery Learning Model on Student Learning Outcomes at SMP Negeri 2 Tabukan Utara. The method used in this research is pre-experiment using one group pretest-posttest design. The sample of this research is the students of class VIII, totaling 16 people. The results of the Paired Sample Test analysis with the help of the SPSS program, it is known that the significant value is 0.000, this means less than 0.05, then H0 is rejected and Ha is accepted. These results indicate that there is an average difference between pre-test and post-test learning outcomes, which means that there is an effect of using the Discovery Learning model on student learning outcomes.

Abstract

The Physics learning process in this digital era still has many obstacles including limited laboratory equipment and media to facilitate physics learning. During the Covid-19 pandemic, using Phyphox as a physics learning media on Simple Harmonic Motion material is still lacking. This study aims to determine the effect of using the Phyphox application based on guided inquiry on student physics learning outcomes on simple pendulum material. This research is experimental research with one group pretest & posttest design. The population is physics students of Universitas Negeri Manado, and the sample is the Class of 2020. Analysis of the data obtained shows that there is an influence on the use of guided inquiry-based Phyphox on physics learning outcomes in physics student’s class of 2020. Based on the results of the average pre-test and post-test data, which increased from 59.33 -82.00. The t-test results obtained the value of tcount = 7.982 and tTabel = 1.761 with a significant level of 5%. therefore tcount < tTabel (-7.982 < 1.761) then: H0 is accepted and H1 is rejected. So, it can be concluded that with the application of the use of Phyphox applications can further improve student physics learning outcomes.

Abstract

This study aims to develop a representation-based booklet learning media on the topic of particle wave dualism. The development of learning media is a series of processes or activities to produce a learning media based on development theory. This research was carried out at the Physics Department, Manado State University, for students in the fifth semester of the 2022/2023 academic year. The type of research used is research on the development of R&D (Research and Development) 4D model (define, design, development, and dissemination). The instruments used to collect research data are validation sheets and questionnaires. To analyze the research data used descriptive percentage analysis technique. Material experts give an assessment of the booklet by 85% and media experts by 98.52% with valid or appropriate criteria. Students in the small group trial gave a positive assessment response to the indicators asked by 100% and in the large group trial it was 98.09%. The results showed that the booklet developed was suitable for use as a medium for learning physics among students.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effectiveness of using the Reciprocal learning model on critical thinking skills and student learning outcomes. This research was conducted at SMA N 1 Likupang North Minahasa. In this study, the sample was taken using a total sampling technique with class X MIA II as the research sample in a one group pretest posttest design. The instrument in this study used cognitive description tests in the form of pre-test and post-test to measure student learning outcomes and non-tests in the form of observation sheets to observe students' critical thinking skills during learning. The results of the study were calculated using the paired sample t-test from the results of the pretest posttest sig <0.001 and the n-gain test with an n-gain score of 0.66 and an n-gain percent value of 66.92. Then the average value of the observations in the form of a percentage of the initial critical thinking ability of 0.88 is included in the less active category and the final critical thinking ability of 2.53 is included in the active category. And the results of this study concluded that H_a was accepted, meaning that the use of the Reciprocal learning model was effective in improving students' critical thinking skills and learning outcomes

Abstract

Mount Tampusu, Minahasa Regency, North Sulawesi has geological conditions that are influenced by the geothermal system. Where the geothermal system has plate movement that affects it, one of which is the convergent plate movement, where two plates collide with each other, resulting in the potential for surface manifestation. This study aims to analyze the surface structure and discharge area or commonly referred to as geothermal manifestations based on the density of straightness and surface manifestations. The structure on the surface was analyzed by lineament density using the FFD method. It is assumed that the fracture or fault is associated with geothermal areas which are mostly difficult to identify because they are covered by surface manifestations. Faults and fractures are the pathways for the movement of hot fluids because they are assumed to be weak fields so that they can be clues to the location of the discharge area or manifestation. Based on the FFD and Remote Sensing Methods collaborated with satellite image data, the surface density and its relationship with the discharge area in the study area were known. Where there are 64.45 straight ridges and valleys in the area with density values ​​ranging from 1.6 to 4.6.

Abstract

The increasingly difficult educational challenges and needs in today's modern world require interactive learning. The research was conducted to know students' critical thinking skills (CTS) in the kinetic gas theory material. Another goal is, as an initial observation, to develop learning methods with guided inquiry learning models assisted by android-based 3D modules in kinetic gas theory material. The research population was all class XI students at Tuban 2 Public High School in 2022/2023 as majoring in Mathematics and Natural Sciences. The research was conducted in 5 classes with the same distribution of questions and questionnaires. As secondary data, the researcher added several articles relevant to the research. The results of this study using several questions on kinetic gas theory material for class X1 were that students needed to be more able to answer each question with indicators of critical thinking. The student's obstacle in answering the questions lies in the need for more understanding of kinetic gas theory material and the not yet maximal use of the method in the current teaching and learning process. The resulting inquiry learning in the future will change the CTS of Tuban 2 Public High School students in the kinetic gas theory.

Abstract

PProses pembelajaran melalui kegiatan praktikum mendukung tercapainya tujuan pembelajaran dengan menempatkan mahasiswa melakukan prosedur yang kompleks sambil belajar konsep-konsep sains. Hasil observasi di Laboratorium Fisika Universitas Negeri Manado menunjukkan bahwa panduan praktikum pada mata kuliah elektronika dasar yang menggunakan alat baru electricity demonstration kit-b belum tersedia. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan panduan praktikum elektronika dasar alat electricity demonstration kit-b berbasis model inkuiri terbimbing. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian dan pengembangan dengan model 4D. Sampel diperoleh dengan teknik purposive sampling. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan wawancara dan angket, sedangkan instrumen penelitian berupa angket lembar validasi penilaian ahli, angket uji kelompok kecil, dan angket uji coba lapangan. Teknik analisis data menggunakan deskriptif kuantitatif berbentuk persentase. Hasil validasi menunjukkan ahli materi sebesar 85% termasuk kategori sangat valid, dan ahli media pembelajaran sebesar 90% juga termasuk kategori sangat valid. Selain itu, hasil uji respon mahasiswa pada uji kelompok kecil menunjukkan skor rata-rata 3,49 termasuk pada kategori praktis, dan penilaian pada uji coba lapangan memperoleh skor rata-rata 3,73 termasuk kategori sangat praktis. Dengan demikian, penelitian ini telah sukses menghasilkan panduan praktikum elektronika dasar alat electricity demonstration kit-b berbasis model inkuiri terbimbing yang valid dan praktis untuk digunakan. Produk penelitian ini berkontribusi terhadap kelancaran praktikum di Laboratorium Fisika, sehingga dosen mempunyai panduan praktikum yang valid dan mahasiswa dapat melakukan eksperimen serta belajar mempraktikkan keterampilan yang diperlukan.
