Abstract

Proses pembelajaran yang efektif seyogyanya dapat menciptakan suasana kelas atau iklim kelas yang kondusif sehingga terciptanya kualitas proses pembelajaran. Kenyataannya masih ada proses pembelajaran yang satu arah, tidak adanya fasilitas media untuk mendukung pembelajaran dan kurang memperhatikan partisipasi aktif siswa dalam proses pembelajaran.Sehingga dapat menimbulkan suasana pembelajaran yang kurang bermakna bagi siswa, dan juga mengakibatkan ketidakmampuan untuk mengembangkan kompetensi dan potensi kemampuan siswa secara lebih optimal. Suatu proses pembelajaran di sekolah yang penting bukan saja materi yang diajarkan atau pun siapa yang mengajarkan, melainkan bagaimana materi tersebut diajarkan dan media yang mendukungnya. Bagaimana guru menciptakan iklim kelas (Classroom Climate) dalam proses pembelajaran tersebut.Banyak faktor yang perlu diperhatikan dalam menciptakan iklim kelas yang berkualitas dan kondusif guna meningkatkan prestasi belajar siswa. Siswa memiliki berbagai keunikan dan keragaman dalam menangkap informasi atau materi pelajaran yang diberikan oleh guru di dalam kegiatan pembelajaran.ada tiga tipe bentuk penerimaan oleh siswa dalam kaitannya dalam penerimaan informasi atau materi yang diberikan oleh guru.pertama auditif,yaitu siswa yang senang mendengarkan penjelasan dari guru.untuk tipe ini tanpa menggunakan media pembelajaran pun siswa tersebut dapat menangkap informasi atau materi pelajaran yang disampaikan oleh guru.kedua visual,yaitu siswa lebih senang melihatdaripada mendengarkan.untuk tipe ini siswa akan berakibat kurang optimal menyerap informasi atau materi pelajaran bila guru hanya menggunakan verbal simbol.penggunaan media pembelajaran adalah solusi yang tepat untuk siswa tipe visual ini.karena dengan media pembelajaran,informasi yang disampaikan lebih konkret. ketiga kinestetik,yaitu siswa yang senang melakukan.untuk tipe ini penggunaan media pembelajaran dapat membantu keterserapan materi pelajaran yang diberikan oleh guru. Abstract

Rendahnya  kinerja  guru  disebabkan  tidak  maksimalnya  guru dalam mempersiapkan diri   untuk lebih berkompeten dalam mengajar    baik secara eksternal maupun internal dengan menambah     wawasan pengetahuannya seperti mengikuti pelatihan,workshop,  seminar  dan  lain-lain.  Penelitian  ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan   peningkatan kinerja guru dengan strategi capacity building di tinjau dari kompetensi profesional. Penelitian ini menggunakan penelitian Diskriptif. Sampel penelitian   diperoleh dengan porpusive sampling dari guru-guru yang berada disekolah-sekolah  Madrasah Ibtidaiyah sebanyak 150 guru. Instrumen Penelitian berupa angket. Tehnik analisis data    menggunakan prosentase. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Peningkatan kinerja guru Madrasah Ibtidaiyah di langsa masih sebagian kecil  yang sudah meningkat yaitu 34,53% . Strategi capacity building yang dilakukan dalam peningkatan kinerja guru berupa inservice training dalam pendidikan  dan  pelatihan  masih  sedikit  sekali  yang mengikutinya yaitu 8.6%

Abstract

This study aims to reveal (1) the effect of pedagogic competence on teacher performance (2) the effect of work commitment on teacher performance. This research was conducted at public elementary schools in the city of Banda Aceh. The study population was all public elementary school teachers in the city of Banda Aceh totaling 481 people. Determination of the sample using the Slovin formula, with a total sample of 218 people. Data were collected using a questionnaire filled out by respondents from the teacher. The research analysis used descriptive analysis and inferential analysis with Path analysis. The results showed that: (1) Pedagogical Competence had a significant and significant influence on Teacher Performance, it was shown that ρ51 = 0.252 (2) Work Commitment had a significant influence on Teacher Performance, it was indicated that ρ52 = 0.566 6) The teacher performance model the findings of this study explained that the increase teacher performance can be done through pedagogic competence, work commitment, which will directly lead to better teacher performance.

The results showed that: 1) work motivation had a significant and significant effect on teacher performance and 2) job satisfaction had a significant and significant effect on teacher performance. The teacher performance model, the findings of this study explain that improving teacher performance can be done through work motivation and job satisfaction which will directly lead to better teacher performance.

Abstract

The study on the mathematical communication skills of the junior high school students studied were still not optimally reached that students' mathematical communication skills become optimal by being taught through the TTW type. The purpose of this study is to describe the level of mathematical communication skills taught through of TTW type cooperative learning model rather than expository learning model and describe students' response to TTW type of cooperative learning model. This research uses quasi experiments. The population is students of Abdya Junior High School grade VIII and the sample was cluster random sampling. Data collected and it also the instrument by test and questionnaire. Data analysis techniques used descriptive analysis and inferential. The results of the research showed that (1) the level of mathematical communication skills taught through of TTW type cooperative learning model rather than expository learning model and (2) the response of students after being taught through the TTW type of cooperative learning model was very positive.

Abstract

Students find mathematics boring to study because it is thought to be difficult for them to understand, particularly when it comes to arithmetic operations, symbols, and a variety of abstract formulas. The challenge in working with fractions is equal the denominator throughout addition and subtraction operations. This study's goal was to identify the types and causes of student difficulty in the content for fractional arithmetic operations. Descriptive research is used in this study. All class VII students make up the population, and there were a total of 17 participants sampled. a tool with an interview guide and written test. Six students were chosen for interviews based on the test results that have been examined. The results showed that the students' level of difficulty was 29.41 percent, moderate difficulty was 5.88 percent, high difficulty was 41.18 percent, and very high difficulty was 23.53 percent. The types of difficulties experienced by students in using concepts and principles ranged from 26.47 percent to 64.71 percent, and difficulties in using verbal were as high as 14.71 percent. It was determined that children were still having trouble grasping the idea of fractions.

Abstract

The leadership of the school principal in improving the social competency of teachers is something that is urgent in schools, because the principal as the top leader determines the progress and decline of a school organization. But also the social competence of teachers can be influenced by the principal's leadership style, strategies and policies in increasing these competencies. This study aims to reveal: 1) leadership styles, 2) policies and strategies, and 3) challenges and opportunities from school principals in strengthening teacher social competence. The approach uses a qualitative type of descriptive research with data collection techniques using observation, interviews and documentation techniques. The research subjects were the school principal, deputy head of administration, and two teachers at SMP IT Nurul Ishlah. Data analysis was carried out through data reduction, data presentation and drawing conclusions. The validity of the researcher's data uses credibility, transferability, dependability and confirmability. The results of the study obtained that: the principal's leadership style, has a democratic leadership style and a charismatic leadership style. Principal strategies and policies by communicating politely and harmoniously by applying the principle of brotherhood to the teacher council, students, parents and the surrounding community, conducting training and seminars for teachers in order to improve social competence and teacher insight. Motivating teachers to be passionate about innovating and developing quality as educators, creating programs to strengthen teacher relationships with fellow teachers, students, parents of students and the community environment. While the challenges and opportunities for approaching are due to the diversity of backgrounds, the age of the teachers at school, and the opportunities for strengthening them by being invited to work together to improve quality and involve all school members in social and integrity actions

Abstract

Guru merupakan ujung tombak dalam upaya peningkatan Mutu Pendidikan. Keberhasilan guru dalam melaksanakan pendidikan dan pembelajaran tidak terlepas dari kompetensi yang dimilikinya. Banyak komponen yang mempengaruhi kualitas pendidikan. Salah satunya adalah guru yang berperan sebagai wali kelas. Peran sebagai wali kelas ini sangat berpengaruh besar terhadap proses pendidikan pada tingkat dasar. Peranan wali kelas sangat dominan dalam memotivasi belajar siswa, pengelolaan kelas dan kemampuan mengajar. Seorang guru yang mempunyai tugas sebagai wali kelas harus mempunyai kompetensi profesional sehingga terciptalah proses pembelajaran yang efektif dan efesien dan dapat mengatasi permasalahn siswa dalam pembelajaran Kata Kunci: Motivasi belajar, pengelolaan kelas, kemampuan mengajar

Abstract

This study aims to reveal (1) the effect of a work commitment on teacher performance; (2) the effect of job satisfaction on teacher performance. Determination of the sample using the Slovin formula, with a total sample of 218 people. Data was collected using a questionnaire which was filled in by respondents who came from teachers. Research analysis using descriptive analysis and inferential analysis with path analysis (path analysis). The research results show that:; (1) Work commitment has a significant influence on teacher performance, it is shown that ρ31 = 0.334; (2) Job satisfaction has a significant influence on teacher performance and it is shown that ρ32 = 0.268. The teacher performance model found in this study explains that improving teacher performance can be done through work commitment and job satisfaction which will directly lead to better teacher performance.

Abstract

Kegiatan pramuka di lembaga pendidikan memiliki dampak positif terhadap karakter dan keterampilan siswa, karena diketahui dapat menunjang kehidupan sosial untuk menumbuhkan kecakapan hidup dalam masyarakat. Tujuan penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui pentingnya pendidikan pramuka dalam membentuk karakter siswa. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode survei dan purposive sampling. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan, yaitu observasi, kuesioner, dan dokumentasi yang selanjutnya dianalisis dengan menggunakan uji-t dan uji-F. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pendidikan pramuka berpengaruh terhadap karakter siswa, khususnya kecapakan hidup sosial dari hasil uji F dan uji T. Pendidikan pramuka juga berpengaruh secara positif terhadap kecapakan hidup sosial siswa. Sehingga, hal ini menunjukkan bahwa penting pendidikan pramuka diadakan di sekolah untuk dapat meningkatkan kecakapan hidup sosial siswa.
