Abstract

Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengimplementasikan pendidikan karakter dalam perkuliahan pemrograman komputer berbasis projek dan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan soft skill mahasiswa. Disain penelitian ini merupakan penelitian tindakan kelas, dengan pendekatan model Kurt Lewin. Penelitian ini dilakukan dalam dua siklus. Subjek penelitian adalah mahasiswa Prodi Pen- didikan Teknik Mekatronika FT UNY. Teknik analisis menggunakan analisis deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) implementasi pendidikan karakter dalam perkuliahan pemrograman lanjut terdiri atas beberapa aspek utama, yakni meliputi aspek perencanaan, pelaksanaan, dan eva- luasi pembelajaran; (2) kemampuan soft skill mahasiswa dapat ditingkatkan melalui pengembangan nilai-nilai karakter dalam wujud ketaatan beribadah, sikap jujur, disiplin, tanggung jawab, peduli dan kerja sama, dalam kegiatan pembelajaran pemrograman lanjut berbasis projek. Kata Kunci: pendidikan karakter, soft skill mahasiswa, pembelajaran berbasis projek THE IMPLEMENTATIONOFCHARACTER EDUCATION IN PROJECT-BASED TEACHING AND LEARNING TO IMPROVE THE STUDENTS’ SOFT SKILLS Abstract: This research aims to apply character education in project-based computer programming course and to improve the students’ soft skills. The design of this study is the classroom action research, with Kurt Lewin’s approach model. This research was conducted in two cycles. The subjects were students of Mechatronics Engineering Education Study Program. The experiment was conducted from April to November 2014. The analysis technique used was descriptive analysis. The results showed that (1) the implementation of character education in the Advanced Computer Programming course consists of several main aspects, which include the aspects of planning, implementation, and evaluation of learning; (2) The students’ soft skill capacity can be enhanced through the development of character values in the forms of acts of worship, honesty, discipline, responsibility, caring and cooperation, in the activities of project-based advanced computer programming course. Abstract

Tujuan Penelitian ini adalah untuk (1) mengetahui tanggapan peserta didik SMKN 3 Yogyakarta terhadap penerapan strategi pembelajaran kooperatif (Cooperative Learaning) pada mata diklat Instalasi Listrik Penerangan melalui penggunaan media interaktif terinovasi (2) mengetahui pencapaian kompetensi hasil belajar mata diklat Instalasi Listrik Penerangan dengan menggunakan media pembelajaran interaktif terinovasi melalui pembelajaran koopearatif. Pendekatan yang digunakan dalam penelitian  ini adalah melalui penelitian tindakan kelas (Classroom Action Research) dengan menerapkan strategi pembelajaran kooperatif. Penelitian ini menggunakan model Elliot dengan tahapan plan, action, observation dan reflection. Pada setiap siklus dilakukan tindakan kelas dengan metode pembelajaran yang berbeda-beda. Subyek penelitian ini adalah peserta didik SMKN 3 Yogyakarta, program keahlian Teknik Listrik yang sedang menempuh mata diklat Instalasi Listrik Penerangan. Hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa (1) penerapan metode diskusi kerja dalam kelompok kecil mandiri mendapatkan tanggapan positif paling tinggi (81,69%) disusul metode diskusi antar kelompok/ kelompok besar (79,00%) dan yang terendah melalui metode diskusi terbimbing (74%) (2) Berdasarkan hasil belajar peserta didik didapatkan secara berturut-turut diperoleh  skor rata-rata adalah  dengan metode pembelajaran diskusi antar kelompok (74,69), disusul penggunaan metode diskusi terbimbing (69,27) dan yang terendah melalui metode diskusi kelompok kecil mandiri.

Abstract

Character education of love for the country needs to be grown in the soul of every learner, because students are an investment in the nation that will be responsible for bringing Indonesia to a better direction. Character education can be instilled through social studies learning and impact on behaviour change towards the desired after social studies learning activities. The method used in this research is the type of field research, using a descriptive qualitative approach. The research subjects were students and teachers of grade V MI Ma'arif NU 1 Panusupan. Data collection was done by interview, observation, and documentation. Researchers conducted data analysis after all data were collected. There are 3 stages of data analysis used by researchers, namely through data reduction, data presentation and conclusion drawing. The results of the study state that the implementation of patriotism character education is carried out to fortify students from external threats that enter through culture. In the implementation, teachers play a very important role in carrying out, teaching, modelling and supervising the habituation of the implementation of patriotism character education. This is done by the teacher by emphasising the value of the character of loving the country to students, giving examples of behaviour to students and inviting students to instill the character value of loving the country in each learner.

Abstract

This training aims to apply science and technology on how to create a website that can be used as a learning media. Software that is used in this training is software based on open source. While the trainees are vocational teachers in IT (Information Technology) situated in the Province of DI. Yogyakarta. Training starts by registration of participants with the minimum re- quirements can operate the computer properly. At the beginning of training, participants were given pretest to determine initial capacity of participants about website development. Next, topic that starts from the introduction of internet, web server installation and CMS software installation. Then, the core topic is given on how to create websites as a learning media. Further topic is how to upload the website on the internet. Providing topic ends with providing independent tasks for each participant to create their own website as a learning media tailored to the field of teaching participants. At the end of the training, participants are given posttest. Final competency determi- nation based on participant self-assessment task, pretest and posttest. From the number of participants as many as 18 teachers, all can follow the training from beginning to end. In addition, teachers can com- plate all these tasks well independently, that is able to create websites as a learning media in good categories. Abstract

The target of implementing a public service program was giving themanagement and teaching staffs of taman pendidikan Al-Qur'an (TPA) and taman kanak-kanak Al-Qur'an  (TKA), schools for elementary school and kindergarten students' education in the Al-Quran,  knowledge of and insight in applying computer technology in conducting the teaching-learning pro­cess and improving their skills and abilities in operating computer-assisted program packages of education in the Al-Qur'an.The methods  used  in the activities of the public service programwere, among others,  lectures,  discussions, question-and-answer sessions,demonstrations, and practice, the activities being essentially training activi­ ties enabling participants to acquire knowledge and skills. The training ma­ terials delivered were related to the topics of introduction to computer ope­ ration based on the Windows system of operation, the program package of the Holy Qur'an, and Islamic children's education.The training activities have resulted in the TPA and TKA manage­ ment and teaching staffs participating in the activities becoming better in their knowledge of  and  insight  in applying computer technology  in  the course of improving the quality of the teaching-learning process of readingthe Al-Qur'an and writing texts taken from it in the educational institutions where they work. They have indeed been greatly in need of the training ma­ terials. Their  skills  and abilities  in operating computer-assisted program packages of education in the Al-Qur'an have also become better than those possessed before participating in the training. Evaluation on the results of the public service program  indicates that on the average the participants' knowledge and skills have risen from 34.44% into 78.66%, which implies an increase of 44.22%.Keywords: computer technology, reading and writing texts taken/rom   theAl-Qur'an

Abstract

Perkembangan industri manufaktur semakin pesat didalam negeri, salah satunya adalah industri manufaktur yang memproduksi komponen-komponen mesin yang banyak terbuat dari logam. Proses perlakuan panas adalah salah satu cara untuk meningkatkan sifat mekanik baja. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh variasi media quenching dan holding time terhadap nilai kekerasan dan struktur mikro pada baja S45C. Proses pemanasan dengan temperatur 850° C, dan media quenching dengan media oli SAE 10W-30, SAE 15W-40, dan SAE 20W-50 dengan holding time 30 menit, dan 50 menit. Hasil nilai kekerasan tertinggi 31,30 HRC pada holding time 30 menit dan 31,87 HRC pada holding time 50 menit. Dari hasil analisa diketahui bahwa dengan media pendingin oli mempunyai pengaruh signifikan terhadap peningkatan nilai kekerasan. Pengujian struktur mikro media pendingin oli memberikan pendinginan yang cepat, yang menghasilkan karakteristik dan sifat material yang berbeda.
