Abstract

The test is a tool to collect information about the achievement of learning objectives so that the test must have good quality in order to be able to measure students' abilities accurately. To determine the quality of the test, it is necessary to do an analysis, one of which is the Rasch model approach. This study aims to analyze the quality of the final semester test results in learning mathematics—sampling using a purposive sampling technique. The subjects of this study were 56 students of Junior High School (SMP) in Yogyakarta, consisting of 25 males and 31 females. The test instrument consists of 40 multiple choice questions with the correct answer given a score of 1 and the wrong answer being given a score of 0. Therefore, the data obtained is dichotomous. The test kits were analyzed by applying the Rasch model. The study results obtained an estimate of the validity of item fit, where the questions analyzed had an INFIT MNSQ value between 0.94 - 1.11 and all questions with an OUTFIT value t ≤ 2.00; thus, 40 items fit according to the Rasch model. The characteristics of the test questions based on the Rasch model have a very difficult difficulty level of 0 items by 0%. The difficult category is three items at 7,5%, the medium category is 20 items at 50%, the easy category is 17 items at 42.5%, and 0% for the very easy category. The reliability of the case estimate value is 0.00 in the medium category, and the reliability of the item estimate value is 0.85 in the very high category. The implication of this research is additional knowledge regarding the Rasch analysis of mathematical problem models as a graduation standard.

This study aims to evaluate the implementation of a training program for youth in Solo Technopark, Central Java, Indonesia, and get important feedback and recommendations to increase its effectiveness. The evaluation method used is based on four levels of the Kirkpatrick model to assess: (1) participants' reaction to the training program (to the contents, facilitators, and facilities); (2) training participants' learning (knowledge and basic skills); (3) change of participant behaviors; and (4) succeed of the training participants based on competence skills and rate of graduate employability and employer’s satisfaction. Research respondents were 47 training participants from four optional courses at the reaction and learning level. There were 59 alumni, three training instructors, and one employer as the respondents at the behavior and results level. Data were collected using questionnaires, interviews, documentation, and an observation checklist. The data were analyzed using the quantitative descriptive analysis method. The study shows that: (1) at the reaction level, most training participants are satisfied with the training program, instructors, and facilities; (2) at the learning level, most participants have a good category in knowledge and basic skills; (3) at the behavior level, participants can implement the attitudes and major skills at a good level; (4) at the results level, alumni have high skills at workplaces; they have been employed in various industries, and the alumni's employability rate is less than 50%. To increase the low rate of employability in the labor market, Solo Technopark needs to improve alumni networking and collaboration with industries and employers.

Abstract

This article explains the development of checklist which is related with future of vocational learning skills by using the Modified Delphi techniques. The Modified Delphi technique provides the opportunity for researchers to gather input from participants in the first round of collecting data and then distributed that checklist to the expertise until consensus achieved. Often, the process is used to find consensus among experts who have different views and perspectives. The Modified Delphi technique enables group problem-solving using an iterative process of problem definition, discussion, feedback, and revisions. This paper will discuss the basics of the Modified Delphi techniques, its application potential, the selection of expert panels and the means on how consensus can be reached among the participants using examples of our past research using the technique.  The 13 out of 15 domain of the future learning skills have found in this research.

Abstract

Many people find statistics very difficult. This impacts students not only on their academic performance but also on unpleasant influences or negative perceptions. This research aims to produce a scaling instrument for attitudes toward student statistics levels using the pair comparison method with valid and reliable characteristics. This research is a quantitative descriptive research by developing a research instrument with a pair comparison scale. The subjects of this research were 160 students who had received courses. This instrument consists of 11 dimensions that measure students' attitudes toward their level of understanding of statistics. The analysis uses quantitative description. The results of scaling the student attitude instrument towards the level of understanding of statistics using the pair comparison method show that the characteristics of each dimension are valid and the Cronbach value meets high-reliability criteria. The results of scaling the attitude instrument towards statistical material with the highest average response order were in the material understanding mode," with a value of 0.695. This high-reliability value can indicate a wider range of abilities, meaning more heterogeneous. With this pair comparison method scaling, it can capture substantial heterogeneity in a person's personal value hierarchy, and it is easier for respondents to answer because they compare two objects.
