Abstract

Mathematical connection ability is a requirement that elementary school students must have in the learning process. But in reality there are still many students who do not have and have not hone this ability well. Elementary school students often make mistakes in solving math problems, especially about mathematical connections between math topics. There are different types of errors and the causes of these problems can occur. Therefore, an analysis of these errors is very important to do in order to see the root of the problem and find solutions that can be done. In this study, data were obtained from student answer sheets from written tests and information obtained from interviews with students in class V as many as 20 people. The research itself is in the form of qualitative descriptive research. From the results of the analysis, it can be summarized that there were several mistakes made by students including students who did not understand the context of the problem, misinterpreted the questions, made mistakes in mathematical modeling, the ability to present material and information from questions that were not good. This information is important as input for making improvements to the next teaching pattern.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk menghasilkan soal-soal pilihan ganda yang valid dan praktis untuk mengukur kemampuan koneksi matematis antar materi siswa SD dan untuk mengetahui efek potensial soal pilihan ganda tersebut terhadap kemampuan koneksi matematis antar materi siswa SD kelas V. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pengembangan (Development Research) tipe formative evaluation. Subjek penelitian ini yaitu siswa SD Palm Kids kelas V sebanyak 20 siswa. Untuk mengetahui validitas soal baik secara konseptual maupun empiris dan kepraktisan soal digunakan teknik dan instrumen pengumpulan data walkthrough, sementara untuk mengetahui efek potensial soal pilihan ganda terhadap kemampuan koneksi matematis siswa dilakukan dengan wawancara. Hasil dari penelitian menyimpulkan bahwa penelitian ini telah menghasilkan produk berupa soal-soal pilihan ganda pelajaran matematika untuk mengukur kemampuan koneksi matematis siswa SD yang valid dan praktis

Abstract

The aim of this research is to develop mathematics learning media for student in class VII of junior high school. After going through the stages of developing a valid and practical instructional media, the instructional media is used to see whether there is an influence of its use on the understanding of mathematical concepts of grade VII junior high school students. The method used in this study is a mix method between development and experimentation. The results of this study are valid and practical learning media. While the effect on understanding students' mathematical concepts is significant. Thus, the initial hypothesis was accepted.

Abstract

Pengembangan bahan ajar penting dilakukan guru agar pembelajaran lebih efektif, efisien, dan tidak melenceng dari kompetensi yang ingin dicapainya. Salah satu bahan ajar yang dimaksud adalah modul pembelajaran. Kompetensi mengembangkan modul pembelajaran idealnya telah dikuasai guru secara baik, namun pada kenyataannya masih banyak guru yang belum menguasainya, sehingga dalam melakukan proses pembelajaran masih banyak yang bersifat konvensional. Dampak dari pembelajaran konvensional ini antara lain aktivitas guru lebih dominan dan sebaliknya siswa kurang aktif karena lebih cenderung menjadi pendengar

Abstract

The development of ICT in the industrial revolution 4.0 was very fast and unlimited, causing the importance of statistical literacy for mathematics students’ teachers as global citizens, and future mathematics teacher candidates to be able to interpret and criticize information before communicating it in various media. This study described Technological Pedagogical Content Knowledge (TPACK) in supporting the statistical literacy skills of mathematics students’ teachers. The method used in this research was a design research type validation study to support students' statistical literacy skills by implementing TPACK. Fourteen students who took the Basic Statistics course participated as subjects in this study. Three stages were carried out in this study, namely: the preliminary design, teaching experiment, and retrospective analysis to develop a learning trajectory through learning activities that had been designed through the Hypothetical Learning Trajectory (HLT). Data were collected using observations, interviews, video recordings, statistical project assignments, and tests. Data were analyzed and conclusions were drawn. The results of this study were a series of learning activities that are integrated with TPACK and can be used to support the statistical literacy skills of mathematics students’ teachers including activities: data awareness, statistical conceptual and idea, data presentation, and data representation. Local Instructional Theory (LIT) produced was useful in learning basic statistics to support the statistical literacy skills of mathematics students’ teachers.
