Abstract

Production process in making of furniture is found a bottleneck of work in process in particular work station. This is due to the availability of work station that has no capacity to meet the demand, making the production flows imbalanced, and to the inexistence of good management in determining the production schedules so that the production targets take too long time, which is in turn too long to reach the consumers. An optimization of work station that has no capacity for meeting a demand in this research is attempted by using the method of Drum-Buffer-Rope in Theory of Constraints (TOC) and with the approach of Linear Program. In TOC an identification of work station that has no capacity to satisfy a demand is conducted. In this research it is reviewed three kinds of products: rose grooming-rooms, Monaco living chairs and Rosalinda dish tables. They are processed in four work stations. Based on the application of Drum-Buffer-Rope method in Theory of Constraints (TOC), it is known that the sand papering station is a work station without a capacity to meet a demand. The results of investigation indicate that all production targets could not be achieved; therefore, a production priority with linear program is made. From this production priority, it is given the scheduling of production that provide a shorter time of make span, so that idle time in each work station is minimize.

Abstract

Harga pokok produksi (HPP) yang tepat akan menentukan kemampuan bersaing produk. Metode ABC merupakan salah satu metode untuk menentukan HPP berdasarkan pembebanan biaya pada aktivitas. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menentukan HPP cake buah naga mocha pada CV. Bakery X. Perhitungan HPP dengan metode ABC dilakukan dalam dua tahapan. Tahap pertama dilakukan pembebanan biaya terhadap aktivitas dan tahap kedua merupakan pembebanan biaya terhadap produk. Hasil metode ABC memperlihatkan bahwa HPP cake buah naga mocha adalah RP. 41.617,- per kotak. Hasil ini juga menunjukkan bahwa harga pokok produksi dengan metode ABC lebih rendah 16,8% bila dibandingkan dengan HPP yang dihitung oleh CV Bakery X.

Abstract

Pemborosan pada proses produksi kantong semen merupakan aktivitas yang perlu direduksi. Value Stream Mapping Tools (VALSAT) dapat menggambarkan pemborosan di lantai produksi. Pada penelitian ini setelah aktivitas pembuatan kantong semen mulai dari supplier sampai ke tangan costumer yang diurai secara rinci menggunakan Diagram SIPOC maka terpilihlah tiga alat dari tujuh alat Valsat yang mempunyai korelasi paling tinggi. Alat yang terpilih adalah Process Activity Mapping, Qualitty Filter Mapping dan Demand Amplification Mapping. Dari kegiatan yang dipetakan melalui branstorming terlihat terjadi kelebihan produksi, cacat produk, pemborosan waktu dan terjadi gerakan yang tidak berguna. Dengan pemetaan ini diharapkan solusi untuk perbaikan sehingga pemborosan bisa diminimasi menjadi lebih terarah. Kata kunci: Valsat, Pemborosan, Branstorming, Minimasi

Abstract

Cost is an important consideration in supply chain (SC) optimisation. This is due to emphasis placed on cost reduction in order to optimise profit. Some researchers use cost as one of their performance measures and others propose ways of accurately calculating cost. As product moves across SC, the product cost also increases. This paper studied the effect of cost increment distribution patterns on the performance of a JIT Supply Chain. In particular, it is necessary to know if inventory allocation across SC needs to be modified to accommodate different cost increment distribution patterns. It was found that funnel is still the best card distribution pattern for JIT-SC regardless the cost increment distribution patterns used.

Abstract

Salah satu pengsuplai listrik di Sumatera adalah pembangkitan ombilin, dimana stasiun kerja pemilihan batu menggunakan belt conveyor dengan pekerjaan secara berdiri tanpa menggunakan alat bantu selama 3 sampai 4 jam pengisian dan pekerja sering mengalami kelelahan dan keluhan dalam melakukan pekerjaan tersebut. Untuk meminimasi kelelahan tersebut dirancang alat bantu berupa kursi kerja ergonomis. Penelitian diawali dengan mengidentifikasi keluhan pekerja menggunakan kuisioner Nordic Body Map (NBM) kemudian dilakukan penilaian postur kerja menggunakan metode Ovako Working Posture Analysis System (OWAS)  dengan hasil 1 yang diartikan dibutuhkan perbaikan pekerjaan dimasa datang. Perancangan kursi menggunakan dimensi tubuh antropometri pekerja dilakukan untuk perbaikan postur kerja.

Abstract

A company in the food industry that produces tofu has encountered issues with product size inconsistency in each batch. This is due to the very basic cutting process currently using only a knife and a wooden roller. As a result, errors can occur during production, leading to tofu pieces that are not uniform in size. To address this, a design for a cutting aid has been developed to increase the number of cut pieces and minimize the cutting process time. This cutting aid was designed using a rational method. The tofu cutting aid is ergonomically designed to make it easier for workers to perform their tasks. The goal of this tool is to produce tofu pieces that are uniform and of the same shape.
