Abstract

Penelitian bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan panjang dan bobot populasi juvenil abalon (Haliotis asinina) pada tiga kelompok. Penelitian dilaksanakan di Hatchery abalon Desa Tapulaga Kecamatan Soropia Kabupaten Konawe Sulawesi Tenggara selama 90 hari. Ukuran hewan uji yang digunakan masing-masing kelompok populasi A (31,35-38,31 mm) sebanyak 21 ekor, kelompok populasi B (38,32–45,27 mm) sebanyak 97 ekor dan kelompok populasi C (45,28–52,60 mm) sebanyak 182 ekor. Analisis yang digunakan adalah analisis regresi dengan melihat perubahan panjang dan bobot tubuh kelompok populasi abalon. Hasil analisis regresi pada tiga kelompok hewan uji menunjukkan persamaan berturut-turut populasi A; Panjang = 27,441+0,972* Berat = ­5,169+0,378* B; Panjang = 35,728+0,445* Berat= ­30,55+1,068*,  serta C; Panjang = 42,942+0,245* Berat= -35,05+1,177*. Berdasarkan persamaan tersebut, maka dapat diketahui bahwa pertambahan panjang cangkang tertinggi yaitu pada populasi A kemudian tertinggi kedua pada populasi B sedangkan pertambahan panjang cangkang terendah pada populasi C. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ketiga kelompok populasi hewan uji selama penelitian mengalami pertambahan panjang cangkang namun tidak mengalami pertambahan pada bobot tubuh. Hal ini menggambarkan bahwa penggunaan pakan makro alga jenis Eucheuma spinosum hanya bersifat pakan pengganti pada semua ukuran ataupun umur abalon mulai dari juvenil sampai dewasa. Selanjutnya hasil pengukuran parameter kualitas air memiliki kisaran masing-masing suhu berkisar antara 27–28 oC, salinitas 31-35 ppt,  pH 7-8,  DO 5,1–6,5 Mg/L,  serta amoniak 0,05 Mg/L. Kata Kunci : Abalon (Haliotis asinina), Eucheuma spinosum, IMTA, Hubungan Panjang dan Bobot.

Abstract

Landuse change at watershed area tend to increase its intensity according to space and time, as logical consequence of development activity and high resident growth rate. The increase of this intensity can bring negetive influence to hydrological conditions i.e: the increasing of peak discharge, discharge fluctuation between dry and wet season, run off coefficient andalso drought and flooding. Remote sensing, technology based on time and series of spatial satelite image, is the best methodology for observing landuse change. This method is more accurate, faster and cheaper than classic method through aerial photograph analysis. The aims of this research are to identify and characterize watershed outlet, to evaluate land cover change and to establish the discharge model as function of land cover change scenarios. This research was conducted from January to December 2005 at Krueng Aceh watershed, Nangroe Aceh Darussalam Province. This activity was covered identification and characterization of watershed outlet, including determination of the AWLR installation point, measurement of river cross section, and also measurement of waterflow velocity. Other activities are image satelite and landuse change analysis. Meanwhile dailydischarge simulation was conducted using a model base on GIS that correlated with land cover change scenarios. Discharge simulation according to scenario 3 (forest is decreasing 50%, mixed garden and bare soil are decreasing 25%, paddy field and settlement is increasing 400%) shows that rainfall event about 29.4 mm on July 31, 2002 and 64 mm on October 29, 2002 stimulate peak discharge of 66.3 and 161.9 m3 s-1, or increasing 21.6 an

Abstract

The objectives of this research is to analyze biophysic caharacteristics of Upstream Aih Tripe Watershed and to predict discharge characteristic of Aih Tripe River based on hydrological models application. Modified H2U model is applied to predict instantaneous discharge, meanwhile GR4J model is applied to predict daily discharge. Upstream Aih Tripe characteristics are,1,115.2 km2 wide, stretch watershed type (Gravelius index 4.31), equivalent length (L) 252.40 and equivalent width (l) 4.42, parallel drainage pattern, maximum river order is 5 and drainage dencity 1.37 m m-2, global slope index (Ig) 2.0 and specific high different (Hg) 0.06. Instantaneous discharge simulation results at dry season are: instantaneous maximum discharge is 364.8 m3 s-1 and time to peak 4 hours, rainfall maximum intensity is 29 mm hour-1, rainfall is 45.9 mm with duration 5 hours. In rainy season, maximum discharge is 605.2 m3 s-1 and time to peak 2 hours, rainfall maximum intensity is 40.8 mm hour-1, rainfall is 73.2 mm with duration 7 hours. Maximum discharge during El Nino condition is 131.4 m3 s-1 (30 September) and minimum dischargeis 8.2 m3 s-1 (31 March). Discharge simulation during La Nina, maximum discharge is 328.3 m3 s-1 (11 December) and minimum discharge is 8.5 m3 s-1 (5 October).
