Abstract

This study aims to determine the extent of the Leadership of the Village Head (Datuk Penghulu) on the Effectiveness of Village Service Services in the Community of Aceh Tamiang District Health Village in 2017. Leaders can influence morale, job satisfaction, security, work quality and especially the level of achievement of an organization.  The ability and skills in direction are important factors for the effectiveness of an organization. By looking at several aspects to determine the effect of Leadership and Measurement of Service Effectiveness in the Health Village of Karang Baru Subdistrict, Aceh Tamiang Regency, namely: loyalty, Decision Making Communication, Responsibility and Obedience of leaders to regulations. in this study using a qualitative descriptive method, the location of the study was conducted in the Health Village of Karang Baru sub-district, Aceh Tamiang Regency. Data collection techniques are interviews, observation and documentation, it can be concluded that the Leadership of the Village Head (Datuk Penghulu) Against the Effectiveness of Service of Village Devices in the Community of Aceh Tamiang District Health Village in 2017 has been good.

Abstract

Tanaman jagung Zea mays L. merupakan salah satu komoditas penting dalam sektor pertanian yang memiliki peran strategis dalam memenuhi kebutuhan pangan dan bahan baku industri di Indonesia. Peningkatan keragaman agronomi pada tanaman jagung menjadi kunci untuk meningkatkan produktivitas dan adaptasi tanaman terhadap berbagai kondisi lingkungan.Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis keragaman agronomi pada tanaman Jagung Buah, dengan fokus pada karakteristik pertumbuhan seperti tinggi tanaman, diameter batang, jumlah helai daun, panjang daun, panjang buah, diameter buah, dan berat buah. Penelitian ini dilakukan di Desa Bontoramba, Kabupaten Gowa, Sulawesi Selatan, dari Mei hingga Juli 2023. Data dikumpulkan dalam lima periode pengamatan selama masa pertumbuhan tanaman, dengan analisis statistik menggunakan perangkat lunak SPSS. Data pengamatan dianalisis menggunakan analisis ragam cluster dengan metode K-means. Hasil analisis dikelompokkan dalam tiga kelompok cluster, yaitu kelompok pertumbuhan tinggi, sedang, dan rendah, dengan karakteristik agronomi yang berbeda. Kelompok pertumbuhan tinggi memiliki tinggi tanaman tertinggi, jumlah daun yang banyak, dan berat buah paling tinggi. Kelompok pertumbuhan sedang berada di antara kedua kelompok lainnya dalam hal karakteristik agronomi, sementara kelompok pertumbuhan rendah memiliki karakteristik pertumbuhan paling rendah.Selain itu, analisis klaster hierarkis juga dilakukan untuk menggambarkan hubungan antar kelompok tanaman jagung. Hasilnya menunjukkan sejumlah kelompok berdasarkan tingkat kesamaan karakteristik agronomi, yang memberikan gambaran yang lebih jelas tentang keragaman dalam pertumbuhan tanaman jagung buah.Penelitian ini diharapkan dapat memberikan wawasan yang lebih mendalam tentang keragaman agronomi pada Jagung Buah dan berkontribusi dalam pengembangan varietas unggul serta praktik pertanian yang lebih efektif Corn (Zea mays L.) is one of the crucial commodities in the agricultural sector, playing a strategic role in meeting both food and industrial raw material needs in Indonesia. Increasing agronomic diversity in corn plants is key to enhancing productivity and their adaptation to various environmental conditions. Therefore, this study aims to analyze agronomic diversity in Sweet Corn plants, focusing on growth characteristics such as plant height, stem diameter, leaf count, leaf length, ear length, ear diameter, and ear weight. This research was conducted in Bontoramba Village, Gowa Regency, South Sulawesi, from May to July 2023. Data were collected during five observation periods throughout the plant's growth cycle, with statistical analysis using SPSS software. The observation data were analyzed using cluster analysis with the K-means method, resulting in three clusters: high, medium, and low growth. The high-growth cluster exhibited the tallest plants, the highest leaf count, and the heaviest ears. The medium-growth cluster fell in between the other two clusters regarding agronomic characteristics, while the low-growth cluster had the lowest growth characteristics. Additionally, hierarchical cluster analysis was conducted to depict the relationships among corn plant groups, revealing several groups based on agronomic characteristic similarity. This provides a clearer picture of agronomic diversity in Sweet Corn growth. This research is expected to provide deeper insights into agronomic diversity in Sweet Corn and contribute to the development of superior varieties and more effective agricultural practices

Abstract

The aim of this research is to identify the level of consumer satisfaction with the use of Blue Band brand margarine and the characteristics of consumers of Blue Band brand margarine. Sampling was carried out using the Slovin formula with a sample of 95 respondents. The data analysis methods used are the Importance Performance Analysis (IPA) and Customer Satisfaction Index (CSI) methods. Data processing was assisted with Microsoft Excel 2010 and SPSS version 25. This research was conducted in March-April 2023. The results of this research concluded that the results of the Importance Performance Analysis (IPA) analysis of the blue band brand margarine product variables were classified into 4 quadrants, namely: quadrants I is considered the main priority in the form of: ease of obtaining. Quadrant II is considered to be achievements in the form of: branding, attractive packaging, melting quickly, making delicious dishes, advertising and promotion, widely used by people and delicious aroma. Quadrant III is considered low levels in the form of: product size variations, affordable prices, expiry dates, usability of various food products, nutritional information and halal guarantees, information services and pride in using. Quadrant IV contains no variables in the quadrant. The results of the Customer Satisfaction Index (CSI) analysis obtained a value of 68.61% which is in the scale range of 60% <CSI≤ 80%. This shows that respondents of the Blue Band brand margarine are included in the satisfaction criteria.

Abstract

Melon is a horticultural commodity that is widely used as a source of vitamins in diet patterns and is consumed by all levels of Indonesian society. The quantity and quality of melon production is currently still relatively low, so better cultivation techniques are needed. One of these activities is improving fertilization, by paying attention to the ingredients and dosage of fertilizer used. Currently, it is recommended that the fertilizer used should be organic. Eggshell powder is an organic fertilizer to develop superior melon varieties. The aim of this research was to determine the effect of applying chicken eggshell powder fertilizer with various treatment doses which provided the best growth and production of melon plants. The research was structured using a randomized block design (RBD), with five the treatment levels for chicken egg shell powder doses were C1, C2, C3, C4, and C5. Each treatment was repeated 3 (three) times to obtain 15 experimental plants, each experimental plant used a sample of 6 (six) plants so that there was a total of 90 plants. The research results showed that the growth of C3 melon plants (35 gr/polybag) had a significant effect at 45 DAP on these parameters number of leaves and fruit diameter. Treatment with a dose of chicken egg shell powder of 35 gr/polybag gave the best effect on the number of leaves at 45 DAP and fruit diameter. Melon merupakan salah satu komoditi hortikultura yang banyak digunakan sebagai sumber vitamin dalam pola menu makanan dan dikonsumsi semua lapisan masyarakat Indonesia. Kuantitas dan kualitas produksi melon saat ini relatif masih rendah, sehingga diperlukan upaya teknik budidaya yang lebih baik. Salah satu kegiatan tersebut adalah perbaikan pemupukan, dengan memperhatikan bahan maupun dosis pupuk yang digunakan. Saat ini dianjurkan bahan pupuk yang digunakan sebaiknya organik. Serbuk cangkang telur merupakan pupuk organik untuk mengembangkan varietas buah melon yang unggul. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui pengaruh pengaplikasian pupuk serbuk cangkang telur ayam dengan berbagai dosis perlakuan yang memberikan pertumbuhan dan produksi tanaman buah melon yang terbaik. Penelitian disusun menggunakan rancangan acak kelompok (RAK), dengan lima taraf perlakuan dosis serbuk cangkang telur ayam yaitu C1, C2, C3, C4, dan C5. Setiap perlakuan diulang sebanyak 3 (tiga) kali sehingga diperoleh 15 tanaman percobaan dan setiap tanaman percobaan menggunakan sampel 6 (enam) tanaman sehingga total terdapat 90 tanaman. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pertumbuhan tanaman melon C3 (35 gr/polybag) berpengaruh nyata pada umur 45 HST pada parameter jumlah daun dan diameter buah. Perlakuan dosis serbuk cangkang telur ayam 35 gr/polybag memberikan pengaruh terbaik terhadap jumlah daun 45 HST dan diameter buah.

Abstract

This study aimed to determine the sediment grain size distribution in four estuary locations in Aceh Jaya (Kuta Tuha, Lhok Geulumpang, Krueng No, Keude Unga). These findings will contribute to our understanding of sediment dynamics in estuarine environments and inform management strategies for these critical coastal habitats. The methods used in this study, such as mean, sorting, skewness, and kurtosis, and determination of sediment textural with ternary plot, were used to determine the sediment grain size distribution. In Addition, it will examine the relationship between sediment grain size composition and spatial distance to mouth bar using the Spearman correlation. Composition sediment at all locations dominated by fine sand. Grain size variations (26.735 198.709 m) show that at all locations mainly consists of very fine sand whereas at Kuta Tuha combination of fine sand and medium sand. The variations of sorting (1.193 2.59), skewness (-0.625 0.876) and kurtosis (0.46 6.883) indicate moderately sorted, very coarse skewed, and very platykurtic sediments. Textural sediment classified as sand, silty sand, and very slightly silty sand. We also found positive correlation between spatial distance from mouth bar and sediment composition. Abstract

Tanaman Obat Keluarga (TOGA) memiliki banyak khasiat yang dapat di manfaatkan masyarakat. Seiring perkembangan zaman, banyak nya masyarakat yang kurang akan kesadaran dalam penanaman obat keluarga ini. Tanaman Obat Keluarga (TOGA) dapat dengan mudah di manfaatkan oleh masyarakat. Dalam Kuliah Kerja Nyata (KKN) ini kami berinisiatif untuk membuat Tanaman Obat Keluarga (TOGA) untuk dimanfaatkan warga Desa Tanjung Raja. Penanaman ini dilakukan untuk meningkatkan kesadaran dan pengetahuan pada masyarakat sekitar tentang pentingnya menanam obat keluarga. Sasaran kegiatan ini adalah seluruh masyarakat di Desa Tanjung Raja Kec. STM Hulu, Kab. Deli Serdang. Dengan adanya tanaman ini, kami berharap warga dapat menjadi lebih giat dalam menghadapi alternatif pertama dalam pengobatan.

Abstract

Chili is a mandatory food ingredient, seen in most food preparations in Indonesia which always use chili. This makes the demand for chilies even higher. The development of superior varieties of katokkon chili is an effort so that the katokkon plant can be widely known by the people in Indonesia to be cultivated so that it can help meet the increasing demand for chili. Efforts to form superior varieties can be done by random genetic manipulation by inducing mutations through gamma rays. This study aims to determine the effect of gamma irradiation mutagens on the growth and yield of the best katokkon chilies. This study used an experimental design with Randomized Block Design (RBD), with 5 treatment levels, namely 0 Gy (control), 200 Gy, 400 Gy, 600 Gy, and 800 Gy of gamma rays. The treatment was repeated three times with 15 experimental units. Each experimental unit has 10 plants. The results showed that gamma rays had no significant effect on plant height, number of leaves aged 58 to 72 DAP, stem diameter, age at flowering, fruit stalk length, and fruit diameter. But on the length of the roots, the number and weight of the fruits of the plantations show that gamma rays have a significant effect. The gamma irradiation of treatment at a dose of 200 Gy gave the best growth and production on the number of leaves aged 44 DAP, root length, number of fruit plants, and fruit weight per plant. Cabai merupakan bahan pangan yang wajib, terlihat pada kebanyakan olahan makanan di Indonesia yang selalu menggunakan cabai. Hal ini membuat permintaan cabai semakin tinggi. Pengembangan varietas unggul pada cabai katokkon sebagai upaya agar tanaman katokkon dapat dikenal luas oleh masyarakat di Indonesia untuk dibudayakan sehingga dapat membantu memenuhi kebutuhan cabai yang terus meningkat. Upaya pembentukan varietas unggul dapat dilakukan dengan manipulasi genetik secara acak dengan induksi mutasi melalui sinar gamma. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh mutagen iradiasi sinar gamma pada pertumbuhan dan hasil cabai katokkon yang terbaik. Penelitian ini menggunakan rancangan percobaan dengan Rancangan Acak Kelompok (RAK), dengan lima taraf perlakuan yaitu 0 Gy (kontrol), 200 Gy, 400 Gy, 600 Gy, dan 800 Gy sinar gamma. Perlakuan diulang sebanyak tiga kali dengan 15 komponen percobaan. Pada masing-masing unit percobaan memiliki 10 tanaman. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sinar gamma tidak berpengaruh nyata terhadap tinggi tanaman, jumlah daun umur 58 hingga 72 HST, diameter batang, umur mulai berbunga, panjang tangkai buah, dan diameter buah. Tetapi pada panjang akar, jumlah, dan berat buah pertanaman menunjukkan bahwa sinar gamma berpengaruh nyata. Perlakuan iradiasi sinar gamma pada dosis 200 Gy memberikan pertumbuhan dan produksi terbaik pada jumlah daun umur 44 HST, panjang akar, jumlah buah pertanaman, dan berat buah per tanaman.

Abstract

Katokkon chili is local horticultural commodity originating from Toraja and is often called “katokkon pepper”. This chili has good adaptation with a fairly high yield. The people of Toraja and the surrounding area really like this type of chili because it has one of the advantages of a production period that is not too long, around 3-4 months after transplanting. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of giving a dose of gamma ray irradiation on the genetic parameters of katokkon chili plants. The use of this research as a basis for developing and improving genetics in breeding katokkon chili plants eith a dose of gamma irradiation. The implementation of the research was carried out at BTP. Tamalanrea, Tamalanrea District, Makassar City, South Sulawesi and the Integrated Farming System Education Garden, on Raya Poros Sappaya street, Bontoramba Village, Pallangga District, Gowa Regency. The plants came from the control treatment (D0) and 200 Gray (D1) consisted of 3 replicates for each treatment and each experiment consisted of 15 plants, so that the total number of plants in this study was 90 plants. The research was carried out in the form of a Randomized Block Design (RBD) with a dose of gamma irradiation as the main factor. The results showed that gamma irradiation at doses of 200 Gray could have a genetic effect compared to D0 on flowering age, number of fruit planted, fruit diameter, fruit weight, fruit stalk diameter, fruit length and fruit flesh thickness. Cabai katokkon merupakan komuditas hortikultura lokal berasal dari Toraja dan sering disebut “lada katokkon”. Cabai ini memiliki adaptasi baik dengan daya hasil yang cukup tinggi. Pada kalangan masyarakat Toraja dan wilayah sekitarnya sangat menyukai cabai jenis ini karena memiliki salah satu keunggulan masa produksi yang tidak terlalu lama berkisar 3-4 bulan setelah pindah tanam. Adapun tujuan yang dilakukan dalam penelitian ini mengetahui pengaruh pemberian dosis iradiasi sinar gamma terhadap parameter genetik tanaman cabai katokkon. Kegunaan penelitian ini sebagai dasar dalam mengembangkan dan memperbaiki genetik pada pemuliaan tanaman cabai katokkon dengan dosis iradiasi sinar gamma. Pelaksanaan penelitian dilaksanakan di BTP. Tamalanrea, Kecamatan Tamalenrea, Kota Makassar, Sulawesi Selatan dan Kebun Pendidikan Integrated Farming System, di Jalan Raya Poros Sappaya, Desa Bontoramba, Kecamatan Pallangga Kabupaten Gowa. Tanaman berasal dari perlakuan kontrol (D0) dan 200 Gray (D1) terdiri dari 3 ulangan pada setiap perlakuan dan masing-masing percobaan terdiri dari 15 tanaman, sehingga jumlah tanaman keseluruhan pada penelitian ini 90 tanaman. Pelaksanakan penelitian dalam bentuk Rancangan Acak Kelompok (RAK) dengan dosis iradiasi sinar gamma sebagi faktor utama. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa iradiasi sinar gamma pada dosis dosis 200 Gray dapat memberikan pengaruh genetik dibanding D0 terhadap umur berbunga, jumlah buah pertanaman, diameter buah, bobot perbuah, diameter tangkai buah, panjang buah, dan tebal daging buah.

Abstract

The local chili variety typical of Toraja is known as Pepper Katokkon. The shape is like chili peppers, but in the form of a mini, fat, round and short. This local variety of chili has a fragrant and spicy aroma, so it is much loved by the community. Organic liquid fertilizer, namely, fertilizer that is classified as environmentally friendly, because it is made from organic materials. This study aims to analyze the best dosage of liquid organic fertilizer on plant growth and production. The study was conducted in the form of an experiment arranged according to a Randomized Block Design (RBD) consisting of 5 treatments and 3 replications. The treatment tried was liquid organic fertilizer (POC) consisting of control (without treatment), 2 ml/liter, 4 ml/liter, 6 ml/liter and 8 ml/liter. Each treatment was repeated 3 times to obtain 15 experimental units. Each experimental unit used 5 sample plants so that the total experiment was 75 plants. Cabai varietas lokal khas Toraja dikenal dengan nama Lada Katokkon. Bentuknya seperti buah cabai paprika, namun dalam bentuk mini, gemuk, bulat, dan pendek. Cabai varietas lokal ini memiliki aroma yang harum mewangi dan pedas, sehingga banyak digemari oleh masyarakat. Pupuk organik cair yaitu, pupuk yang tergolong ramah lingkungan, karena terbuat dari bahan organik. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisi dosis pupuk organik cair yang terbaik terhadap pertumbuhan dan produksi tanaman. Penelitian dilaksanakan melalui serangkaian percobaan yang diatur menggunakan metode Rancangan Acak Kelompok (RAK). Rancangan ini terdiri dari 5 variasi perlakuan yang diulang sebanyak 3 kali. Variasi perlakuan yang diuji coba adalah berbagai dosis pupuk organik cair (POC), yakni kelompok kontrol (tanpa perlakuan), 2 ml/liter, 4 ml/liter, 6 ml/liter, dan 8 ml/liter. Setiap variasi perlakuan direplikasi sebanyak 3 kali, sehingga totalnya terdapat 15 unit percobaan. Masing-masing unit percobaan melibatkan 5 tanaman sampel, menghasilkan total 75 tanaman yang diobservasi dalam percobaan ini.
