Abstract

The book "Darsu Al-Lughah Al-Arabiyah" is one of the books used by students to learn Arabic. This book contains various teaching materials, including the Qawaid Nahwu and reading. After making observations, researchers see that the grammar content in the reading is not in accordance with the grammar material that has been taught. Therefore, this research was conducted to identify the content of reading texts and elements that contradicted grammar material as well as knowing the efforts made by the teacher to overcome this problem. This research is content analysis and data collection is done through observation, documentation, and interviews. The sample is the class II book "Darsu Al-Lughah Al-Arabiyah". The results of the study indicate that the content of the reading text in this book consists of grammar that has been learned and grammar that is not learned. Grammar has been studied totaling 77 examples, while those not studied are 144 examples and the efforts made by the teacher to overcome this problem are by conducting textbook assessments, observing the material in the book, providing references to other teaching materials , provide additional material, and equip themselves with a variety of knowledge and experience and so on.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to identify how to develop the learning process using the wadhifah al-majmu'ah method based on a communicative approach and cooperative learning methods in teaching reading and to identify the effectiveness of the wadhifah al-majmu'ah method to improve students' reading skills at MTsN 1 Aceh Barat and to identify teacher and student activities using the developed wadhifah al-majmu'ah method. The research method used in this research is the research and development method. The results of this research are the development of wadhifah al-majmu'ah method by observing the need and the problem and by interviewing experts, this method has ten steps in its process. The use of wadhifah al-majmu'ah method is effective in improving students’ ability to reading skills. The average value of the post-test is greater than the pre-test (82.44> 54.34), the sig. (2-tailed) 0.000 which is smaller than the significance level of 0.05, indicates that (Ha) is acceptable and (Ho) is returned. And very good result, This is proved by the direct observation of teacher activities by 90 % and student activities by 85 % indicating that they are between 81-100% In the very good category. The use of wadhifah al-majmu'ah method is effective in improving student’s ability to reading skills.

Abstract

Learning listening skills still leaves many problems. Among them are problems related to students' limbs, thinking, the application of learning methods, media, teacher and so on. Learning process of listening at Ruhul Islam Anak Bangsa Islamic Boarding School tends to be passive where the teacher provides istima' material to students through a laptop and loudspeaker and the teacher gives students questions directly without explaining the previous material and providing opportunities for students to discuss and ask things that are not understood. In addition, the listening learning process tends to be boring and uninteresting. Therefore, researchers developed listening skills learning with the integrative listening method to improve students' listening skills. The purpose of this study was to find out how to develop and effectiveness of the developing listening skills learning using the integrative listening method and to find out students' responses to the development of listening skills learning with the integrative listening method. The method used in this research is a research and development method. The results show that learning listening skills using the integrative listening method developed using the Borg and Gall model. Teaching listening skills with the integrative listening method is effective to increasing students' listening skills. Student responses to learning listening skills using the integrative listening method is very good with the positive answer of 92.67%.
