Abstract

The article aimed to discover whether the element of Taufiq al-Hakim's imagination regarding human greed had relevance to the social reality of society, or is it merely an expression of personal imagination that was not related to the social environment of society? To answer this problem, the researcher used the text analysis method with the main corpus of the short story “Daulah al-‘As}a>fi>r.” The theory used in analyzing this text was socialist realism assisted by a literary ecological approach. The analysis showed that Taufiq al-Hakim's imaginative criticism through his sparrow symbol against human greed had a close relevance to the phenomenon of contemporary human life today, like Covid-19 pandemic. Such pandemic was a natural reaction to human greed who had exploited fellow humans and their environment. It was also reinforced by the fact that all big and powerful countries in the world were overwhelmed to overcome Covid-19. This study recommended that humans should not be greedy, so that the balance of nature can be maintained properly.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana karakteristik sastra sufi yang terdapat dalam Syair Perahu karangan Hamzah Fansuri. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah library research, dengan menggunakan pendekatan sastra sufi. Adapun kesimpulan yang telah diperoleh melalui penelitian ini adalah: bahwa Syair Perahu memiliki beberapa karakteristik di antaranya diawali dengan prolog sebagai kata pengatar untuk pembaca; makna simbolisme perahu sebagai seorang manusia yang hidup di atas dunia ini dan ia suatu saat ia akan hidup di alam akhirat; deskripsi tentang eskatologi alam kubur; konsep wahdatul wujud; konsep iman, tauhid dan makrifat; upaya arabisasi Bahasa Melayu. Dari hasil penelitian ini juga nampak bahwa tuduhan sesat terhadap Hamzah Fansuri oleh sebagian orang tidaklah tepat, karena ia masih memiliki iman yang kuat dan tetap melaksanakan syariat.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to know the application of Debate Method to improve speaking skills for senior high school students of class XII -A in Ulumuddin boarding school Utenkot, Cunda - Lhokseumawe for academic years 2018 – 2019, and to know students effectivity after applicating the Debat Methode. This research is classroom action research conducted in 3 cycles. Each cycle consists of planning, action, observation / evaluation, and reflection. The subjects of this study are senior high school students of class XII-A who are 25 students and the object of this research is speaking skills. Data collection in this study are carried out by the method of observation, interviews and diagnostic tests. The data are analyzed by quantitative descriptive and statistical analysis techniques. The results showed (1) that the application of the debate Method consisted of the stages of the purpose of Debate method application in the learning process of teaching Arabic, giving titles, limiting the Debate members, making debating rooms in class, searching for information about the title of the Debate, and providing evaluation sheets activities of researchers and students in application the Debate method, (2) in the application of the Debate Method there is an increase in the percentage of speaking skills of students of class XI -A MA in terms of pronunciation, fluency, vocabulary, and sentence structure. Based on the results of the analysis in the first cycle the average student's speaking skills are obtained as much as 70% ("medium" category). Then in the second cycle students' skills improved. The average speaking skills of students are 74% ("medium" category). And in the third cycle the average skill of students are 81.4% ("high" category). Based on the results of these studies it can be concluded that the application of the debate method can improve students' speaking skills in terms of pronunciation, fluency, vocabulary, and sentence structure.

Abstract

This title is chosen by the writer because of the absence of particular books for Arabic conversation of the student as well as interviewed the head of language center of the school, Dr. Muakhir Zakaria MA. Theses questioner yield that the student need certain guidance books used to improve their capability in Arabic conversation. The purpose of this study is to figure out the application of this material design and to measure the effectivenees of the design of under the title “The environment of Islamic boarding school” to improvew student’s ability. The writer used RND method and takes the entire student of this boarding school as the population, while the sample is student from class 2D which are 30 student. Morevere, in data collection, the writer does observation, interviews, questioner and test. Pre-test result of this test is 62% and post-test 75% and it is more effective for them to us.

Abstract

Vocabulary is the most important element in learning Arabic. In teaching this lesson, teacher must use a suitable teaching methods and image media to achieve the goals of study, unless it will be failed. For instance, some second grade students of junior high school in Fajar Hidayah Islamic boarding school, they studied vocabulary but some of them could not apply in oral or written Ta'bir. The main problem is due to the teacher had not practice suitable methods yet in teaching vocabulary. In order to solve the problem, the researcher applied method driil and image media in teaching vocabulary to the students of junior high school in Fajar Hidayah Islamic boarding school. The purpose of this research is to know the student's response to vocabulary learning by applying drill methods and image media and the effectiveness of its application to improve the ability of students in the study of vocabulary. The used method was quasi experimental designs. The study population is all students of the junior high school Fajar Hidayah and samples are second graders amounting to 22 students. The results showed that students ' responses to vocabulary learning by applying drill methods and image media were very good and the implementation was effective to improve the students ' ability to control the mufradat in the integrated Islamic School of Dawn Hidayah, evidenced by the T-count value greater than T-table.

Abstract

Overall, the goal of teaching Arabic at an intermediate level about religious ministry is to strengthen reading skill and increase religious knowledge. This is reflected in the planning of the Arabic subject at the intermediate level, so the reading texts must contain the two things mentioned, whether the application of the linguistic rules that have been studied or include religious knowledge in order to achieve the goal of teaching the Arabic language. The teaching and learning process needs the appropriate educational resources for the current curriculum. One of the educational resources is the textbook. The researcher found a book for teaching Arabic for the third intermediate grade, and this book is a model and was not printed for sale, so it can be fixed with suggestions and better analysis. According to this, the researcher analyzed the content of the book. This thesis aimed to identify the compatibility of book reading texts with the rules of arrangement and composing good study materials in terms of language, and to identify the compatibility of book reading texts with Islamic culture. The research tools used to obtain the desired data are observation and files. As for the result of this message, they are: 1). The reading texts found on the aforementioned book did not include the linguistic structure and this was not taken into account in every topic, 2). Of the five existing texts, four are texts that correspond to the Islamic culture or the teachings and creed of Islam, but one text needs to reform the content and the subject to conform to the established planning.

Abstract

Artikel ini bertujuan agar seni mendapatkan perhatian di kalangan masyarakat, khususnya yang berada di perkampungan. Fenomena sebagian masyarakat muslim di daerah perkampungan kurang memberi perhatian terhadap implementasi nilai-nilai seni dalam ritual keagamaan. Padahal, Islam memberi perhatian yang tinggi pada estetika, termasuk dalam ibadah mahdah seperti azan dan shalat berjamaah. Tulisan ini merupakan kajian etnografi di mana penulis melakukan observasi dan hidup bersama masyarakat di tiga gampong di Aceh Besar yaitu Meunasah Tutong, Cot Yang, dan Tanjung Deah. Artikel ini merekomendasikan agar pihak pengelola atau manajemen meunasah atau mesjid supaya melakukan rekruitmen dan pelatihan kepada sejumlah warga yang memiliki kemampuan untuk melaksanakan tugas azan dan imam shalat berjamaah. Dengan demikian, pelaksanaan azan dan shalat berjamaah bisa berlangsung secara khidmat dan syahdu, bahkan bisa menarik perhatian para calon peserta jamaah baik yang di rumah maupun di warung kopi untuk ikut melaksanakan shalat berjamaah di meuinasah atau masjid.

Abstract

The title of this research is the Development of Material structure in Arabic Textbook 2013 Curriculum year, with Microsoft Powerpoint. The researcher choises this title because she saw as who the students of SMP Muhammadiyah 1 Banda Aceh, in practicing Arabic they did not pay attention to the correct language principles. Especially when they practiced Arabic sentences do not match verb and personal pronound be right. Were in this school the students really like learning by using media, this fhenomenals can be seen from the student questionnaire that they were very enthusiastic about learning by using Powerpoint. Therefore, the researcher wants to develop structural material using Powerpoint. The purpose of this research is to develop a product for the development of material structural and to determine the effectiveness of the material by using Power point, and to find out what the experts think about the development of by material structural using Powerpoint media. For data collection, the researcher used a pretest and postest question questionnaire and an expert observation sheet. The results of the research are that the use of Microsoft Powerpoint media in developing the material structure increases student ability in learning structure, so that the media is effective for teachers in increasing ability to learn it. Based on the results of the posttest average score (T-test 2,09 <7,1> 2,86.) this value shows that the development of material structure by using Powerpoint media at SMP Muhammadiyah 1 Banda Aceh is effective and useful. As for the expert assessment, it shows that the product is accepted based on the expert observation value, namely 80% from expert I, and 75% from expert II

Abstract

PurposeThis article aimed to know how a Modern Egyptian writer, Taufiq al-Hakim, enlightened his readers to believe Allah's existence and could feel His presence more closely. MethodAs qualitative research, this article relied on verbal data in the form of sentences or paragraphs available in the short story. In collecting the data, the authors read carefully Arinillah, Taufiq al-Hakim’s short story; and made some notes on sentences or paragraphs considered to indicate ways of enlightening Allah’s existence. The data were analyzed qualitatively using Sufism literature theories to identify Taufiq al-Hakim’s ideas of Allah’s existences and his ways of educating the readers to believe in Allah. Results/FindingsTaufiq al-Hakim's ways of educating his readers to believe in Allah’s existence through the storyline beginning with curiosity and ending with regret. He did not curb the readers’ curiosity to know Allah's existence, but left them to play in the adventure of Sufistic spiritual imagination. At the end of the story, they regretted because they with their mind were not able to identify the existence of Allah, the greatest. ConclusionThe article concluded that Arinillah storyline was Taufiq al-Hakim’s way in interpreting hadith of the Prophet Muhammad SAW regarding prohibition to think Allah’s substance; and it was not true that he violated such a prohibition.
