Abstract

Klorofil atau pigmen utama tumbuhan banyak dimanfaatkan manusia untuk membantu mengoptimalkan  fungsi metabolik, sistem imunitas, detoksifikasi, meredakan radang (Inflamotorik) dan menyeimbangkan sistem hormonal. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kandungan klorofil total dan karotenoid pada beberapa sayuran hijau sebagai alternatif bahan dasar food supplement. Penelitian ini dilakukan dilaboratorium pendidikan biologi Universitas Syiah Kuala dengan menggunakan metode observasi langsung yang mengukur nilai absorbansi klorofil dan karotenoid pada 5 jenis sayuran hijau, dengan teknik pengambilan sample purposive sampling. Sampel yang digunakan terlebih dahulu potong kecil dan ditimbang sebesar 0.03 mg kemudian diekstraksi dan dihitung nilai absorbansinya dengan menggunakan spektrofotometer dengan panjang gelombang 663 dan 664, diukur dengan 5 perlakuan dan 4 kali ulangan dengan pengenceran 20%, 40%, 60%, 80% dan 100 %. Sampel yang telah dilakukan pengenceran di ukur kandungan klorofil a,b dan total. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kandungan klorofil paling tinggi terdapat pada sayuran sawi dan terendah terdapat pada daun papaya.

Abstract

Telah dilakukan penelitian tentang Upaya Peningkatan Hasil belajar pada Materi Pencemaran Lingkungan melalui Pembelajaran Berbasis Proyek pada bulai Mei 2014 di MAN Model Banda Aceh. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perbandingan hasil belajar siswa yang diajarkan dengan model pembelajaran berbasis proyek dengan model konvensional. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode eksperimen dengan desain kontrol grup tes awal dan tes akhir. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas X yang berjumlah 240 siswa, sampelnya dipilih secara acak sebanyak 60 siswa yang dibagi menjadi dua kelas, yaitu kelas eksperimen dan kontrol. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah soal tes kemampuan awal (pretes) dan tes kemampuan akhir (postes). Pengolahan data dilakukan dengan mencari gain ternormalisasi dan membandingkan kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol. Data dianalisis menggunakan uji-t. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan thitung 10,74 > ttabel 1,645. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah model pembelajaran berbasis proyek berpengaruh secara signifikan terhadap peningkatan hasil belajar.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine and describe the increase in students' mathematical problem solving abilities after receiving learning using macromedia flash at MTsN Model Banda Aceh. This research approach quantitatively through a quasi-experimental design and one group pretest posttest design. The population was all students of class VIII MTsN Model Banda Aceh, while the sample was selected using random sampling technique and selected students of class VIII-5 as the sample. The research data were collected through a mathematical problem solving ability test which included pretest and posttest questions. Furthermore, the data were analyzed through SPSS version 17 with paired sample t-test and percentage tests. The results showed that there was an increase in students' mathematical problem solving abilities after receiving learning using macromedia flash on geometry material at MTsN Model Banda Aceh. While the increase in students' mathematical problem solving abilities in understanding problems is 41.6%, planning problem solving is 47.2%, carrying out problem solving is 58.3%, and re-examining problem solving is 41.7%. The use of macromedia flash on geometry material is the right solution in visualizing abstract geometric objects into concrete forms, thereby accelerating the achievement of better students' mathematical abilities.

Abstract

Kegiatan Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat dengan judul Sosialisasi Peningkatan Pengetahuan Gizi pada UMKM Pembuatan Kue Tradisional Aceh di Lamlhom Kecamatan Lhoknga Kabupaten Aceh Besar bertujuan meningkatkan pemahaman masyarakat produsen kue tradisional agar dapat memilih bahan-bahan yang tepat dalam proses pembuatan kue sehingga nilai gizinya tetap terjaga. Selanjutnya juga dilakukan sosialisasi tentang metode pelestarian kue tradisional Aceh, sosialisasi tentang branding dan marketing, serta sosialisasi tentang packing dan kemasan. Sasaran kegiatan ini adalah masyarakat pemilik usaha kue tradisional Aceh yang berada di Desa Lamlhom Kecamatan Lhoknga Kabupaten Aceh Besar. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini dilaksanakan di rumah produksi kue tradisional Aceh Start Dodol dengan metode ceramah, simulasi dan diskusi.

Abstract

Kurangnya media pembelajaran yang kreatif pada materi klasifikasi makluk hidup membuat peserta didik kurang berpikir kritis dalam memecahkan suatu masalah yang berhubungan langsung dengan lingkungan sekitarnya. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk melihat penggunaan modul diagram roundhouse dan kemampuan berpikir kritis peserta didik. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode penelitian eksperimental research melalui desain pre-experimental berupa One-Shot Case Study. Sampel penelitian menggunakan teknik purposive sampling dengan pertimbangan sekolah sehingga dipilih kelas dengan kemampuan sedang yaitu berjumlah 30 peserta didik. Instrumen penelitian berupa modul diagram roundhouse untuk melihat pemahaman kognitif peserta didik dan pengumpulan data untuk variabel keterampilang berpikir kritis dilakukan dengan teknik tes dengan menggunakan lembar berpikir kritis berupa 20 pertanyaan yang diberikan pada akhir pembelajaran. Analisis data menggunakan uji one sample ttest. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa penggunaan modul diagram roundhouse memberikan dampak yang sangat baik bagi peserta didik dengan nilai thitung sebesar (2,358). Sedangkan kemampuan berpikir kritis peserta didik setelah pembelajaran dengan menggunakan modul diagram roundhouse dengan nilai thitung sebesar (2,427), sehingga memberikan dampak yang baik bagi kemampuan berpikir kritis peserta didik pada materi  klasifikasi makhluk hidup di MAS Babun Najah Banda Aceh.

Abstract

This research aims to determined students science process skills using the PjBL model on cell material in class XI Dayah Insan Qur'ani Aceh Besar for academic year of 2023/2024. Data were collected in September 2023. The research method used was an experiment with a One Group Pretest-posttest Design. The research sample was 30 students. The research instrument used a scientific process skills observation sheet in the form of a checklist questionnaire. Data analysis used the Independent Sample t-test at the 0.05 significance level. The results of the research show that the science process skills of students using the PjBL model have a value of tcount 12.05 > ttable 3.98. The highest indicator was found in observations assessing and collecting data with an average of 21.6%. Overall, students' scientific process skills using the PjBL model are in the very good category (81.25%). It can be concluded that the PjBL model has an influence on the science process skills of class XI students at Dayah Insan Qur’ani, Aceh Besar.

Abstract

ABSTRACT The creation of probiotic food/drinks emerged from awareness of the importance of public health and the role of probiotics in improving the balance of the gut microbiota. In this context, probiotics provide significant benefits for the digestive and immune systems. However, there are still many people who do not know the benefits of probiotics and how to include them in their daily diet. Therefore, through this outreach activity, it is hoped that it can increase public understanding about probiotics and provide practical skills in making probiotic food/drinks at home. The methods used in PkM activities are lectures/presentation of material, demonstrations, discussions and presentations. Several steps in the process of making yoghurt, namely: (1) Selection of raw materials, (2) Heating the milk, (3) Cooling the milk, (4) Adding starter culture, (5) Fermentation for 8-12 hours, (6) Cooling and storage. It should be noted that variations in raw materials, methods and types of lactic acid bacteria used can produce yoghurt with different characteristics. Therefore, the process of making yoghurt in this PKM activity meets halalan thayyiban standards.

Abstract

The creativity of students in Indonesia is still low compared to other countries. The low of biological creativity is caused by the use of less constructivist learning methods or models. This research was conducted to determine and describe the effect of project based learning on student creativity on environmental pollution material at MAN Model, Banda Aceh. This study used a quantitative descriptive approach with a quasi-experimental design through a one shot case study design. The population in this study were all students of class X MAN Model Banda Aceh with samples taken were students of class X IPA 2. The sample selection used purposive sampling technique. Moreover, the collecting data in this study used a creativity assessment observation sheet. Meanwhile, data processing applied a one-sample t-test statistic (one sample t-test). Based on the results of the t test, it is found that tcount = 50.08 and ttable = 2.04, so tcount (50.08) ttable (2.04). This shows that if tcount ttable, then Ha = accepted, whereas if tcount ttable, then H0 = accepted. Significant levels are ? = 0.05 and dk (n-1). Therefore, because tcount ttable, then Ha is accepted. In conclusion, the alternative hypothesis (Ha) which states that Project Based Learning affects students creativity in environmental pollution material is accepted.

Abstract

 It is appropriate to instill IMTAQ values in science, especially biology, so that students not only understand scientific facts, but also the divine meanings in them. This research aims to determine the feasibility of a biology module integrating IMTAQ values with a problem based learning approach to the environmental pollution sub-material. This module development research refers to the EDDIE development model (Analysis, Design, Development, Development or Production, Implementation or Delivery and Evaluations). The subjects of this research were 30 students of the Biology Education Study Program, Muhammadiyah University of Aceh. The data collection instrument used an IMTAQ-based biology learning module feasibility questionnaire. From the research results, the percentage of module validation by material experts was 78,13% (quite valid). Meanwhile, the percentage of material validation in the area of integration of IMTAQ values was 83.5% (very valid)., and the percentage of modules by media experts was 77,17% (quite valid). The student assessment of the module obtained a percentage of 81,40% which means that the module is suitable for use as teaching material. The average N-Gain score was 0,86  which means in the high category.

Abstract

21st century education emphasizes students to have high-level thinking abilities. However, in reality it has not been realized well, which is indicated by the inability of students to make good planning arrangements in the learning process. This is closely related to the metacognitive abilities that students must have. This research aims to determine the percentage of metacognitive awareness of Biology learning at MAS Insan Qur'ani, Aceh Besar. The method used is a Mix Method research design with an explanatory sequential design. The research sample consisted of 30 students. The research instrument uses a sheet in the form of a Metacognitive Awareness Inventory (MAI) questionnaire to see students' metacognitive awareness. The analysis test was carried out using percentages and the Independent Sample t-test. The research results show that students' metacognitive awareness is in the good category with a percentage of 75.14%. The lowest indicator of metacognitive awareness is found in IMS with a percentage of 47%, while the highest indicator is in DK with a percentage of 49.03%. For the calculated t test, significant results were obtained with a value of tcount ttable (2,156 2,000). Metacognitive awareness is very good to use in the learning process. It is hoped that this research can be used in learning materials contained in biology learning. And it is also hoped that teachers can use various types of learning models to gain better metacognitive awareness of students so that they can think analytically in dealing with various problems found in Biology learning.
