Abstract

Sembung (Blumea balsamifera (L) DC) is a species plant on Blumea genus, andAstereceae (compositae)family. The leaf of Sembung is used by human as empiric treatment with extraction or infuse techniqueto become “jamu” , its has function as functional drink, because its consist of flavonoid and alkaloidcompound, that has an antioxidant potency. The purpose of this research are to study of effect growthleaf level and some of organic solvent to characterizetion simplisia powder extract Sembung leaf. Themethode of extraction by maseration, then analyze is done such as flavonoid, phenolic total, antioxidantcapacity, vitamin C, IC50, and determine volatil compound on the best treatment by GC-MS. The resultshowed that very singnificant effect to all parameters analysis, and ethyl acetate extract on the tip ofSembung leaf is the best treatment, that consist of flavonoid (204,58 mg QE/g db), phenolic total (225,33mg GAE/ g db), vitamin C (451,92 mg/g db), antioxidant capacity (501,97 mg GAEAC/g db), and IC50%(37,09 ppm). The GC-MS analysis showed there are benzena compound, monoterpene (camphor,L-berneol), sesquiterpene (?-guaiene, caryophyllene, humulene) and diterpene (neophytadiene) on thebest treatment.

Abstract

The Covid 19 pandemic and unhealthy life style may lead to depression and anxiety followed by a decreasing of immune system. A healthy diet affects a person’s health and immune system. Objective: To provide education to the community, especially employees and lecturers in the LLDIKTI region VIII work environment, regarding food consumption and nutrition that can prevent stress and increase endurance during a pandemic. Methods: The activity begins with preparation, implementation and evaluation. Education is carried out using virtual media through zoom meetings, which are in the form of webinar series containing lectures and discussions. At the beginning of the activity, partners are given a pre-test and at the end of the discussion partners are given a post-test. Community service activities are carried out from October 13, 2021, to November 13, 2021. The evaluation was carried out using a knowledge questionnaire based on the material presented by the speaker.  The results of the community service activities showed an increase in partner knowledge about food and nutrition consumption that can prevent stress and increase endurance during a pandemic. Suggestion: It is necessary to conduct training and assistance in hygiene food processing to produce processed innovations that can be used to increase body immunity.

Abstract

Depresi adalah kondisi yang ditandai dengan ketidakseimbangan atau gangguan dalam diri sendiri yang terkait dengan aspek bio-psiko-sosial, yang terwujud dalam gejala-gejala seperti hilangnya semangat, perasaan sedih, rendah diri, menarik diri dari orang lain dan lingkungan, serta pikiran atau upaya bunuh diri. Mengingat meningkatnya prevalensi depresi dan dampaknya terhadap kesehatan global, sangat mendesak untuk mengeksplorasi perspektif dan solusi alternatif. Studi ini menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif, menggunakan sumber data sekunder seperti buku, jurnal, dan laporan penelitian, yang dianalisis melalui studi dokumen untuk memberikan pemahaman yang komprehensif tentang gangguan depresi. Konsep Hindu tentang Pañcam?y?ko?a, yang menggambarkan lima lapisan kesadaran individu, digunakan sebagai alat analisis utama. Studi ini mengungkapkan bahwa depresi dapat dipahami sebagai ketidakseimbangan dalam lapisan-lapisan ini, dan menunjukkan bahwa praktik holistik seperti yoga, meditasi, dan pr??ayama, bersama dengan menumbuhkan pikiran positif dan dukungan sosial, dapat secara efektif mengatasi gangguan depresi. Temuan-temuan ini menyoroti potensi mengintegrasikan kearifan tradisional Hindu dengan pendekatan psikologis modern untuk mengembangkan strategi yang efektif untuk mengelola depresi.
