Abstract

The selection of work methods in the construction of high-rise buildings is very influential on the use of cost and time of implementation. One of the work to be done in the construction of a multi-story building is the work of the floor plate structure. The selection of appropriate floor plate method will make the construction of high rise building to be efficient. The method of execution of floor plate used in the construction of the M-Gold Tower Bekasi project is the half slab method. This method is chosen because it is more advantageous in terms of cost and time. The half slab method costs Rp. 7,985,361,365.00. with a 180-day execution time. Meanwhile, if using conventional methods cost Rp. 10,174,649,180 with a time of 300 days. So the use of the half slab method for the floor plate structure is more advantageous than using conventional method.

Abstract

This activity aims to increase the knowledge and awareness of simple building workers about the importance of Occupational Safety and Health (K3), encourage the use of personal protective equipment and reduce the number of work accidents at the project site. This activity was carried out in one of the residents' houses that was being renovated. The method used was a descriptive approach. This activity targets simple construction workers who do not understand the importance of implementing occupational safety and health when working. Socialization that has been done similarly is mostly done in construction and large companies. Socialization is carried out through an educational approach which includes, discussion and demonstration of the use of personal protective equipment and conducting pre-test and post-test which are used to measure the increase in knowledge, also given knowledge about fire prevention at the work site and how to use a lightweight fire extinguisher. The results of the activity showed an increase in participants' knowledge about occupational safety and health by 90% after the socialization of increasing awareness of occupational safety and health. The use of personal protective equipment for workers increased from 0% to 95% at the work site. Future implementation of similar programs is expected to reach more workers and expand awareness about OHS.

Abstract

Baterai primer bekas, yang kerap dibuang tanpa pengelolaan khusus, mengandung logam berat berbahaya yang dapat mencemari lingkungan. Limbah baterai bekas dikumpulkan dari lingkungan kampus dan dicampurkan dalam beton instan mutu K-175. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengolah limbah baterai primer bekas sebagai campuran beton non-struktural guna mengurangi dampak negatif limbah B3 terhadap lingkungan. Metode penelitian menggunakan analisis deskriptif dengan mengambil data melalui pengumpulan bahan, pembuatan sampel beton dengan campuran baterai bekas, dan uji kuat tekan pada usia 7, 14, dan 28 hari. Hasil uji kuat tekan pada sampel benda uji kemudian dianalsis untuk mengetahui hasil penelitian. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa beton dengan campuran limbah baterai tidak mencapai mutu K-175, namun memiliki potensi untuk aplikasi produk non-struktural seperti paving blok dan pot tanaman. Penelitian ini menekankan pentingnya pemanfaatan limbah berbahaya secara kreatif untuk mendukung pembangunan berkelanjutan, meskipun perlu penelitian lebih lanjut untuk meningkatkan mutu beton.
