Abstract

School Safety Zone, as an instrument to reduce traffic speed in a school area, has been implemented in Indonesia. This study tried to evaluate the effectiveness of the School Safety Zone based on the perception of its users, including students, teachers, parents, and travelers around the school. The results show that most ofthe respondents understand very well the meaning and the purpose of the School Safety Zone. However, it is also found that “Four Ts” method has not been recognized well by the respondents. Keywords: school safety zone, perception, Four Ts method

Abstract

Quality of cargo management services is primary consumer expectation indicator measured by the dimension model and the minimum service time. Likert scale of five levels is use, analyzed with Important Performance Analysis and Performance Analysis Approach to portray the user perception and expectation. Five dimensions of quality aspect are selected such as reliability, responsiveness, assurance, empathy, and physical evidence. Two air cargo companies operating at Jakarta International Airport Soekarno Hatta are selected as respondents with sample sizes of 46 and 33 are observed. A grid with four quadrants is developed. The result shows that the two operator need improvement to reach minimum service time of 30 minutes. The existing system is in a range between 46 to 51.51 minutes to finish all system services steps. To reach the minimum service time, the operator management, equipment, and tools must be improved. Keywords: Domestic terminal, cargo, service quality, Importance Performance Analysis

Abstract

The aims of this research are to identify accident characteristics and blackspot on Jakarta – Bogor – Ciawi (Jagorawi) Toll Road km 19 – km 40, as part of Jagorawi Toll Road, using secondary data on traffic accidents for 3 years, namely 2016 – 2018. The research method refers to Pd T-09-2004-B-Guidelines for Handling Traffic Accident Black Sites (Directorate General of Bina Marga, 2004). The results showed the most accidents for Bogor direction occurred on Friday (39%) and for Jakarta directions on Tuesday (22%), in bright light conditions, fair weather with the dominant accident type of rear front crash (81%). The blackspots of Jagorawi Toll Road are located on the Km 23 (km 23+090, 23+600 and 23+800) and km 26 (km 26+200, 26+800 and 26+870) for Bogor direction and km 23 (km 23+200, 23+400, 23+600) for Jakarta direction. The proposed handling is the addition of warning signs in blackspot areas, safe distance limits and speed limits on toll roads.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of vehicle queues on fuel consumption due to the opening and closing of traffic flows caused by drainage channels project throughout October 2020 on. Jalan. Bts. Lhokseumawe City/North Aceh – Lhoksukon Km. 280. The queue length analysis was calculated based on vehicle traffic flow in locations that have not been affected by the existence of open/close traffic flow activities and analysis of fuel consumption based on the length of delay and the number of vehicle queues using LAPI-ITB formula. The results showed that the queue of vehicles due to opening and closing of vehicle lanes for 6 hours (12.00 – 18.00 WIB) on holidays was 23% larger than the queue on weekdays. Vehicle queues for 6 hours on holidays cause additional vehicle fuel consumption for light vehicles (LV) of 424,15 liters, heavy vehicles (HV) of 53,09 liters, and motorcycles (MC) of 203,24 liters and  on weekdays causes additional fuel consumption for light vehicles (LV) as much as 342,66 liters, Heavy vehicles (HV) as much as 35,85 liters, and motorcycles (MC) as much as 203,24 liters.  Loss of fuel use due to queues caused by opening and closing roads on Jalan. Bts. Lhokseumawe City/North Aceh – Lhoksukon Km. 280 for 6 hours (12.00 – 18.00 WIB) on weekdays is 4.402.185,00 and on holidays it is Rp. 5.541.065,00.

Abstract

This study aims to know the perception of the winner about implementation of the Pioneer Student selection for Traffic and Road Transport Safety at the district / city, provincial and national levels. Data collection was carried out through online interviews with google forms to the finalists of the national-level pioneer students who were also winners at the provincial and district/city levels. The analysis used in this study is a descriptive analysis method. A very attractive impression of implementation at the national level relatively higher than the implementation at the provincial level and at the district / city level. There was still less interesting material and / or speakers and time constraints caused the delivery of the material to be less than optimal. The benefits that the finalists get from the selection of pioneer students at all levels of organizing are increased insight into traffic safety and road transport and the improvement of traffic behavior. There were still few scientific works from the pioneer student winners that were followed up and their function as a Traffic and Road Transport safety ambassador for high school students has not been properly accommodated.

Abstract

There are major changes in industrial structure where digitalization and technological innovation are becoming the main factors of economic growth. This research aims to identify opportunities and strategies in the application of artificial intelligence (AI) to enhance chemistry learning in Indonesia. Through the systematic literature review (SLR) method, this research reviews 33 journals related to the application of AI in education, particularly in the subject of chemistry. Analysis shows that AI has the potential to make a significant impact through a more personalized, interactive, and adaptive approach to student needs. In addition, AI offers solutions to learning challenges, such as limited laboratory infrastructure, through the use of virtual simulations that facilitate experimental practice. Strategies that support the implementation of AI in chemistry education in Indonesia include improving access to technology, continuous teacher training, and raising awareness of technological changes in education. With effective implementation, AI is expected to make a real contribution to improving the quality of chemistry education in Indonesia
