Abstract

The results showed that the factors associated with maternal mortality based on the analysis were history of ANC (OR = 37.4; 95% CI: 9.5 - 313.6; p = 0.012), place of death (OR = 21.5; 95% CI: 2.5 - 188.5; p = 0.001), Health Facility (OR = 21.5; 95% CI: 2.5 - 188.5; p = 0.001), Non-referral case (OR = 91.2; 95% CI: 11.1 - 750; p = 0.001), delay in referral (OR = 122.1; 95% CI: 14.7 - 1010.2; p = 0.001). Abstract

Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) is a crucial aspect in the hospital environment to protect health workers from various occupational risks. The implementation of hospital OHS not only aims to prevent occupational accidents and occupational diseases but also creates a safe and comfortable hospital environment for patients, all employees, and visitors. This study aims to analyze the relationship between knowledge, motivation, and hospital support to the implementation of hospital OHS. This study used a descriptive method with a cross-sectional approach. The research instrument was a closed questionnaire. The research sample amounted to 42 nurses at Dr. Drajat Prawiranegara Hospital who were selected through total sampling techniques. Bivariate analysis was carried out using chi-square test. The results showed that 54.8% of nurses had a poor level of knowledge, 76.2% had high motivation, 52.4% stated that hospital support was still lacking, and 69.0% of nurses had not fully implemented OHS. The results of the statistical test showed a significant relationship between knowledge (p=0.002), motivation (p=0.018), hospital support (p=0.014) and the implementation of OHS. Routine OHS-related training programs, the reward system to motivate nurses, and the commitment of hospital management in providing facilities and policies that support the implementation of OHS in a sustainable manner should be strengthened.

The issue of maternal mortality is a serious problem faced by the Ministry of Health. Many maternal deaths occurred in the intra-natal and post-natal period. This could be due to unpreparedness of the mothers in facing the labor process so that information related to pregnancy, childbirth and postnatal period was not fully and up to date known by them. Information related to pregnancy, childbirth and postpartum can be obtained through antenatal visits, especially by the implementation of antenatal classes. The purpose of this study was to determine the anxiety differences of third trimester pregnant mothers in facing childbirth before and after participating prenatal yoga classes at Ciruas Public Health Center, Serang Regency in 2018. The method used in this study was pre-experimental research design one-group pre-test and post-test. The results showed most participants were the age group 20-35 years, namely 21 people (70%) and the most maternal parity is multigravidas, namely 20 people (67%). The level of maternal anxiety in facing childbirth were mostly moderate as many as 25 pregnant mothers (83.3%), and after participating prenatal yoga classes, most of the mothers had mild anxiety, namely 27 pregnant women (90%). To conclude, prenatal yoga classes are effective on reducing the incidence of maternal anxiety in facing childbirth.
