Abstract

This research aims to determine the suitability of Islamic consumption theory with the concept of decluttering as a factor preventing impulsive buying behavior in society. By using qualitative descriptive methods, researchers try to observe phenomena that occur in the field regarding impulsive buying and the implementation of decluttering activities that are currently being widely followed and then relate their suitability to the principles of consumption in Islam. The results of this research show that there is a compatibility between the theory of consumption in Islam and the concept of decluttering as a prevention of impulsive buying behavior in four indicators, namely indicators of meeting needs, usefulness, goals and financial management. Judging from the indicators of fulfillment of needs, both of them prioritize consideration of fulfilling needs first compared to fulfilling desires alone. From indicators of usefulness in consumption, Islam prioritizes blessings. In the concept of decluttering, the benefits that arise are a calm and peaceful life by not accumulating a lot of items and prioritizing using existing items according to needs. From the goal indicator, both have a goal of happiness. Islam, apart from seeking world happiness, must also pay attention to the happiness of the afterlife. From both financial management indicators, both of them are very concerned about financial income and expenses. So. finances are more disciplined and focused, but on the other hand, minimizing wastefulness and stinginess.

Abstract

The halal industry has emerged as a significant driver of global economic growth, extending beyond food and beverages to encompass sectors such as finance, tourism, cosmetics, and pharmaceuticals. Despite its rapid expansion, academic literature remains limited in assessing the industry's comprehensive macroeconomic contributions across diverse regions. This study aims to examine the economic impact and growth dynamics of the global halal industry by identifying its most prominent sectors and emerging market opportunities. Utilizing a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) guided by the PRISMA framework, the study synthesizes findings from peer-reviewed journals, industry reports, and institutional data published between 2014 and 2024. The analysis indicates that halal food and beverages remain the dominant contributors to economic output, while halal tourism, modest fashion, cosmetics, and pharmaceuticals exhibit substantial growth potential. The industry contributes significantly to GDP, employment generation, and foreign investment, particularly in countries such as Malaysia, Indonesia, and the United Arab Emirates. However, challenges persist, including regulatory fragmentation and limited technological integration. The findings highlight the need for harmonized global halal standards, enhanced investment in infrastructure, and the adoption of digital innovations to strengthen the industry's global competitiveness. This study advances the academic discourse by offering a comprehensive economic perspective on the halal industry and provides actionable insights for policymakers, industry stakeholders, and investors.

Abstract

This study aims to explore the integration of differentiated instruction and the development of students' critical thinking skills within the context of the Merdeka Curriculum (Independent Curriculum) in elementary mathematics education. Employing a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) method, this research analyzed 8 peer-reviewed journal articles published between [insert year range]. The findings reveal that differentiated instruction through content, process, product, and learning environment adjustments significantly contributes to enhancing students’ critical thinking skills, including analysis, evaluation, inference, and problem-solving abilities. Differentiation enables learning personalization based on students’ readiness, interests, and learning profiles, thereby creating equitable and inclusive learning environments. The implementation of differentiated learning media, such as digital worksheets and interactive e-modules, further supports student engagement and cognitive development. However, several challenges persist, including teachers’ limited competence in differentiation strategies, time constraints, and the demands of managing heterogeneous classrooms. Despite these challenges, differentiated instruction aligns with the principles of the Merdeka Curriculum, which emphasizes student agency, diversity, and the cultivation of 21st-century competencies. The review also highlights the crucial role of teacher training, curriculum support systems, and innovative teaching practices in optimizing the implementation of differentiation in mathematics instruction. This study recommends the institutionalization of professional development programs, the design of adaptive learning media, and further empirical research on the long-term impact of differentiation on students’ cognitive and character development. In addition, specific statistical results from the reviewed articles (e.g., effect sizes, sample characteristics) should be integrated where available to strengthen the synthesis. The integration of differentiated instruction and critical thinking within the Merdeka Curriculum represents a transformative shift toward inclusive, student-centered mathematics education in Indonesian elementary schools.
