Abstract

The purpose of this study is to analyze the strength and endurance of new students of FKIP sports education at The University of Muhammadiyah Surakarta in 2020 which includes arm muscle strength, abdominal muscle strength, and maximum oxygen volume ability (VO2max). This research is descriptive research using the closeness of quantitative research types. The sample in this study is all new students of FKIP UMS sports education in 2020 numbered 141 people. Teknik collection uses push-up tests to measure arm muscle strength, sit-up tests to measure abdominal muscle strength, and MFT (multistage fitness test) running tests. Teknik data analysis uses frequency descriptive analysis with the help of excel 2019 Microsoft software. The results of this study can be concluded: (i) the strength of new students POR FKIP as a whole is a moderate category obtained from the push-up test with a percentage of 36.88 %; (ii)  sit up tests with a percentage of 36.17%, and (iii)  endurance freshmen POR UMS category good category with a percentage of 34.75%. But in this study, it is necessary to pay attention to the quality of other physical conditions, namely flexibility, agility, speed, and psychology of students and those related in this study on physical tests and sports ability.

Abstract

This community service activity was based on discussions and observations with teaching staff for children with special needs at SLBN Karanganyar and Sukoharjo, Central Java Province, about difficulties assisting and teaching children with special needs. Based on the results of observations and discussions with teaching staff, the researcher and a servant provide solutions in the form of assisting the motor skills of children with special needs through high-intensity interval training. Motor ability is an essential indicator of fitness for each individual, closely related to the quality of life. At the same time, high-intensity interval training is an alternative in the form of a solution to improve movement abilities, especially for children with special needs. This community service aims to provide understanding and development of science and technology to teaching staff for children with special needs to improve motor skills through high-intensity interval training. The methods used in community service are documentation, interviews, and observations. The results of this study indicate that one way to improve motor skills is through high-intensity interval training

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of inclusion-based adaptive physical education learning integrated with a deep learning approach in improving the independence and physical fitness of junior high school (SMP) students. The method used is a quasi-experimental design with a pretest-posttest control group design. The research sample consisted of junior high school students who were divided into experimental groups and control groups. The research instruments include physical fitness tests and independence questionnaires, which have been tested for validity and reliability. Data analysis was carried out using descriptive and inferential statistical tests through paired sample t-test and independent t-test. The results showed that there was a significant improvement in students' independence and physical fitness in the experimental group compared to the control group (p < 0.05). Deep learning-based learning in the context of inclusion has been proven to increase students' active involvement, strengthen movement understanding, and develop physical and psychosocial skills simultaneously. Additionally, this approach provides a more meaningful, adaptive, and student-centered learning experience. The conclusion of this study confirms that inclusion-based adaptive physical education learning with deep learning integration is effective in increasing the independence and physical fitness of junior high school students. These findings provide practical implications for the development of innovative and sustainable learning models in the context of physical education

Abstract

Motor competence plays a fundamental role in supporting the physical, cognitive, and social development of primary school children. However, physical education instruction is still predominantly characterized by conventional, teacher-centered approaches that limit students' active engagement and motor development. This community service program aimed to implement Outdoor Physical Education based on the Joyful Learning framework as a strategy to enhance students' motor competence. The program consisted of needs assessment, school coordination, instructional planning, guided implementation of outdoor game-based learning activities, and evaluation through observation, documentation, and pre- and post-program motor competence assessments. The activities were conducted collaboratively with physical education teachers and primary school students. The findings demonstrated improvements in students' motor competence, active participation, learning motivation, movement coordination, balance, and agility. In addition, teachers enhanced their ability to design innovative, contextual, and student-centered outdoor learning experiences. These results indicate that Joyful Learning-based Outdoor Physical Education is an effective strategy for improving both the quality of physical education instruction and the motor competence of primary school children. The program provides a practical and replicable model that can serve as a best practice for strengthening physical education in primary schools.
