Abstract

Intensification on paddy is done one of them by setting the spacing. This study aims to examine the effect of spacing system on growth and paddy production. The research was conducted in Bojongmangu Village, Bekasi Regency, West Java Province. The study used an experimental method  Randomized Completely Block Design (RCBD) with 1 factor that is   planting system, namely tegel  system 20 cm x 20 cm, tegel system  25 cm x 25 cm , jajar legowo 2:1 (25x12,5x50 ) cm, jajar legowo 4:1 full (25 x12,5x50 ) cm, jajar legowo 4:1 free space (25 x12,5x50 ) cm, and jajar legowo 6:1 (25x12,5x 50) cm. Each treatment is repeated   3 times. The results showed that jajar legowo planting system 2:1 gives the number of panicles per clump, number of grains per panicle, weight of 1000 grains and the average yield per hectare is highest, followed by jajar legowo 4:1 full planting systemKeywords: Jajar Legowo, Planting System

Abstract

Avocado fruit with the Latin name Persea Americana Mill comes fromMexico and Central America. Avocado plants can grow to reach a height of 20 meters. The demand for and consumption of avocados continues to increase day by day. The more people demand avocado fruit, the more quality avocado seeds are needed. One way to get quality seeds is by vegetative propagation by grafting. Growth on shoot grafts can be accelerated by using Cytokinin growth regulators (BAP). The research was conducted in the Cipedak Avocado Plant Propagation Garden, Jagakarsa District, South Jakarta from January 2022 to March 2022. The research aims to determine the ef ectiveness of the concentration and soaking time of cytokinin growth regulators (BAP) on the growth of cipedak avocado shoots (Persea americana mill). The study was conducted using a randomized block design (RBD) consisting of 9 treatments with 3 replications, namely concentrations of 200 ppm, 400 ppm, 600 ppm, and control. From the results of the study, there was an interaction between concentration and soaking time on the percentage of live shoot grafting (%), percentage of fallen leaves (%), increase in shoot length, bud break age and rootstock diameter at 6 WAP, the ef ect of dosing and soaking time The optimum cytokinin zpt is in the S2T3 treatment.

Abstract

Red lettuce is a type of vegetable that has commercial value and fairly high prospects. The selling value of red lettuce is higher than other varieties of lettuce, judging from the anthocyanin content in it is very beneficial for health. Vermicompost is an organic fertilizer derived from the feces or feces of earthworms. Vermicompost on the soil can improve soil properties such as improving structure, porosity, permeability, increasing the ability to hold water. is a Liquid Organic Fertilizer (POC) derived from natural plants such as turi leaves (Sesbania grandiflora L.) which has a high Nitrogen (N) content and complete micro and macro nutrients. This study aims to determine the ability and effectiveness of the use of vermicompost organic fertilizer and Turi Liquid Organic Fertilizer (POC) (Sesbania grandiflora L.) on the growth and production of red lettuce plants, which was carried out at Kp. Tegal kihiang, RT 005/RW 003, Karangindah Village, Bojongmangu District, Bekasi Regency, for 3 months November-December 2023. This study used Randomized Group Design (RAK). In this experiment, 4 doses of vermicompost fertilizer and 4 doses of POC TURI (4X4) were used. Where there are 16 experimental units that are repeated 4 times. Total plants studied 64 plants. Data analysis using a 5% DMRT test using SPSS application version 24. The results showed that the interaction on each age parameter of 7 HST, 14 HST, 21 HST, 28 HST, 35 HST, and 42 HST was not significantly different, however, in each treatment there was a real effect. Plant height and number of leaves had a significant influence on vermicompost fertilizer at the age of 21 HST and 42 HST, while on the application of POC Turi there was a real influence on the age of 14 HST, 35HST, and 42 HST. Parameters of leaf width, stem diameter and wet weight of plants showed a marked or significant difference at the age of 42 HST in all treatments

Abstract

In this study, the research aimed to determine the optimal combination of fermentation duration and material dosage for making turi liquid organic fertilizer. The study was conducted at the Laboratory of the Faculty of Agriculture, Borobudur University, and further tested at the Laboratory of the Department of Soil Science and Land Resources, Bogor Agricultural Institute. The research compared different combinations of fermentation duration and material dosage using five parameters: C-Organic, pH, N, P, and K. The results showed that the best combination was a fermentation time of 7 days with a 1:1 material dosage of turi leaf to brown sugar. This combination had a higher organic content compared to a fermentation time of 7 days with a 2:1 material dosage. Additionally, a fermentation time of 10 days with a 2:1 material dosage had a higher organic matter content compared to a 1:1 material dosage. Overall, a fermentation time of 7 days and a 1:1 material dosage were found to be the best for making turi leaf organic fertilizer
