Abstract

. Pengembangan perikanan tangkap berbasis CCRF dapat dilakukan untuk memanfaatkan potensi perikanan tangkap secara optimal. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk menganalisis alat tangkap jaring insang berdasarkan dokumen CCRF sebagai kelanjutan dalam memberikan kebijakan dalam penggunaan alat tangkap. Metode pengambilan data yaitu menggunakan kuesioner selanjutnya dianalisis menggunakan statistika deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan kekurangan dari penggunaan jaring insang yaitu terdapat pada mutu ikan yang tertangkap cenderung sedikit mengalami cacat fisik (bagian operkulum), serta masih tertangkapnya hasil tangkapan sampingan. Kesimpulan dari penelitian yaitu bahwa alat tangkap jaring insang direkomendasikan untuk digunakan oleh nelayan karena sesuai dengan kriteria alat tangkap ramah lingkungan yang memenuhi ketentuan dokumen CCRF.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui dan menginformasikan komposisi hasil tangkapan (jenis dan jumlah) dari alat tangkap jaring insang (gillnet) yang terdapat di Pangkalan Pendaratan Ikan (PPI) Kota Dumai.  Penelitian dilaksanakan selama 2 (dua) bulan yang dimulai pada bulan Maret-April 2020 bertempat di Pangkalan Pendaratan Ikan (PPI) Kota Dumai, Kelurahan Pangkalan Sesai, Kecamatan Dumai Barat, Kota Dumai, Provinsi Riau. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode survei dan wawancara serta studi literatur. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan dengan metode purposive sampling berdasarkan fungsi dan manfaat dari unit penangkapan Jaring Insang (gillnet). Jumlah responden yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah sebanyak 13 unit (30%) dari 45 unit kapal Jaring Insang yang ada di Pangkalan Pendaratan Ikan (PPI) Kota Dumai. Analisis jenis dan jumlah hasil tangkapan dilakukan secara deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa komposisi hasil tangkapan ikan dengan menggunakan Jaring Insang di Pangkalan Pendaratan Ikan (PPI) Kota Dumai adalah terdapat 19 spesies ikan yang tertangkap dengan jenis ikan hasil tangkapan yang paling banyak tertangkap adalah ikan lomek (Harpadon nehereus) sebanyak 1.069 kg atau 37,71 % dan yang paling sedikit adalah ikan Gonjeng (Anchovy) sebanyak 4,8 kg atau 0,16 %.Kata Kunci : Dumai, Gillnet, Hasil Tangkapan, Komposisi, Riau

Abstract

Efektivitas kerja dalam pengoperasian alat tangkap purse seine membutuhan peranan nelayan agar tercapainya penangkapan yang optimal. Tujuan dari penelitian untuk menganalisis efektivitas kerja nelayan pada saat pengoperasian alat tangkap purse seine. Penelitian ini dilakukan kepada 27 pekerja di atas kapal purse seine dengan metode observasi dan wawancara menggunakan kuesioner. Analisis data yang digunakan dengan perhitungan nilai Full Time Equivalent (FTE). Hasil perhitungan dikategorikan sebagai posisi underload (jika nilai FTE 0-0.99), fit (jika nilai FTE 1-1.28), dan overload (jika nilai FTE> 1.28). Hasil yang telah didapatkan pada penelitian ini dimana adanya posisi jabatan pekerja yang overload sebanyak 4 posisi pekerja yaitu nakhoda, mualim, kepala kamar mesin, dan koki. Keadaan fit sebanyak 5 posisi jabatan pekerja yaitu kerani, juru sampan, juru haluan, juru batu, dan ABK.

Abstract

The Dumai City Fish Landing Base (FLB) is functioned to land fish both from within and from outside the City of Dumai to meet local consumption and for export purposes, however the various types of fish caught have not been properly identified. This study aims to identify and identify the types of fish caught by fishermen who are landed at the Fish Landing Base in Dumai City. The method used in this research was a survey. The fish species obtained were identified morphologically based on similarities in characteristics with the Taxonomy and Fish Identification Key books. The results showed that there were 14 types of fish from 14 families. all identified fish are neither protected nor endangered animals.

Abstract

Macrozoobenthos has an important role in ecological functions in mangrove ecosystems which can be used as bioindicators in aquatic ecosystems. The purpose of this study was to inventory macrozoobenthos, water quality and substrate found at the study site. The method used in this study was the observation transect method of mangrove vegetation measuring 10 x 10 meters in which 5 sub-plots were made in the plot where each sub-plot measuring 1 x 1 meter. Macrozoobenthos samples were taken from the substrate, stems and roots of mangroves. Measurements of water quality parameters were taken in situ at each research station and the substrate was taken using a shovel and then observed for sediment particles in the Dumai Maritime and Fisheries Polytechnic laboratory. This study succeeded in infentarizing the macrozoobenthos of the Mollusc Phylum, class Gastropods with 6 families and 6 species (Nerita articulata, Chicoreus capucinus, Littorina scabra, Ellobium aurisjudae, Cerithidae quoyii and Pugilina cochlidium) and class Bivalvia, 1 family and 1 species (Polymesoda bengalensis). Water quality parameter values consist of an average temperature of 29.73 ˚C, a salinity of 26.33 ppt, dissolved oxygen (DO) 4.92 mg/l and a pH of 6.9. This water quality condition can still be tolerated by mangrove and macrozoobenthos plants. Substrate texture at stations 1 and 2 includes the clay loam category and station 3 the sandy loam category which has an influence on the abundance of macrozoobenthos.

Abstract

Wages are compensation received by workers based on their position. The division of the catch has been stated in several regulations, namely Law Number 16 of 1964 article 3 and Minister of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries Regulation Number 42 of 2016 article 26. The purpose of this research was to determine the catch on purse seine vessels, the organizational structure of wages, and the application of profit sharing systems and crew wages on purse seine at PT Hasil Laut Sejari (HLS). Data collection was carried out 3 times. Position at KM. Sumber Fortuna influences the wages received by the ship's crew. The total catch production for 3 trips is 64,463 kg. Distribution of wages for crew members (ABK) per 1 part, the first trip to the third trip. The wages received by the crew on the first trip were Rp. 162,402,-. on the second trip Rp. 1,335,547, - and on the third trip Rp. 963,181, - according to Law no. 16 of 1964 and Permen KP Number 42 of 2016, the distribution of wages is not ideal because the wages received by ABK are very small and far below the Riau Islands Province Minimum Wage.

Abstract

There is still minimum information on the condition of the mangrove ecosystem, such as canopy cover and vulnerability of the ecosystem. Therefore, it was necessary to analyze that by assessing the Important Value Index (INP), canopy cover and vulnerability to degradation. The primary data needed are the type, density, frequency and basal area of mangroves obtained by the Transect Line Plot (TLP) method. The canopy cover was obtained using the Hemispherical Photography method. The data analyzed using INP, pixel analysis with binary images and compared to standard criteria of mangrove damage and vulnerability to degradation of mangrove ecosystems. This study identified 5 types of mangroves, Avicennia alba, Rhizophora apiculata, Rhizophora mucronata, Xylocarpus granatum and Sonneratia alba. Xylocarpus granatum was the species with the highest INP at stations 1 and 2, while at station 3 it was Avicennia alba. Station 1 has the highest canopy cover with a value of 86%. The condition of the mangrove ecosystem in Dumai is generally in the good category with medium stands. In addition, the level of vulnerability to mangrove degradation in can be categorized as low vulnerability. Although this research was conducted with simple methods and equipment, the results can provide an overall illustration of the condition of the Dumai’s mangrove ecosystem, making it easier for interested parties to manage the ecosystem.

Abstract

Even though the government has established regulations regarding wages, the reality is that the wages received by crew members of fishing vessels are still not in accordance with regulations. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to identify the distribution of wages on purse seine vessels and to find out the gap between the wages received by crew. To achieve this goal, this study uses catch data for three fishing trips from March to May 2022, as well as crew wages from selling catches on the purse seine vessel PT Hasil Laut Sejati. The secondary data used is the productivity of the annual catch of purse seine vessels as well as supporting data from references related to the topics discussed. The data obtained were then analyzed using descriptive analysis, income analysis, and gap analysis. The average wage received by purse seine vessels crew is around Rp. 677,649.67 Rp. 1,190,134.00, the wages received are far below the City Minimum Wage, with a gap of 71.57% - 83.81%. The wages of Batam City purse seine crew are not in accordance with the City Minimum Wage of Batam City. Economic conditions and wages for crew members significantly require crew to continue working, to make ends meet.Keywords:CatchCrewIncome
