Approaches one intervention that can be done through non-pharmacological approach by midwives is throug with relaxation and spiritual emotional freedom tecnique(SEFT) methods. The purpose of this study was is to investigate the different methods of relaxation and SEFT to decrease pain intensity because Sectio Caesaria Operation at Semarang District Hospital and Dr.Adyatma,MPH Hospital in Semarang City. The design used was is pre experimental design, posttest only design with control group design with time spent crosssectional approach. The results shown of significant differences method of relaxation and SEFT to decrease level of pain (pain value) because Sectio Caesaria Operation. It is shown the average respondent without any pain and SEFT relaxation method at 5,60 and the average respondent pain with relaxation methods and SEFT of 4,13. There is a decrease in the mean or average - average labor pain 1,47and p valueof 0.004.

Abstract

The phenomenon of HIV / AIDS has an impact on the national stablity. The factors is risky sexual behavior and drugs. The impact is a community stigma that affects the quality of life of people living with HIV/AIDS (PLWHA). Peer group support can improve the quality of life of PLWHA. This study aims to determine the relationship between peer group support and the quality of life of PLWHA. This study used an analytic observation design with a cross sectional approach. The study used simple random sampling. A sample of 62 clients in the Peer Support Group (KDS) Arjuna Plus Semarang. The study used a peer group support questionnaire (validity value 0.335-0.708 and reliability 0.426) and quality of life (validity value 0.325-0.602 and reliability 0.582). Data analysis using Pearson product moment correlation test. The mean ageof PLWHA is 33.56 years, male (62.9%), high school (40.3%), private employees (75.8%). There was a significant relationship between peer group support and quality of life among PLWHA (p value = 0.045). Peer group support is related to the quality of life of PLWHA. Nurses as a health service providers collaborate with Peer Support Groups in improving the quality of life of PLWHA.

Abstract

Abstract

Type 2 diabetes mellitus is a major public health problem with a continuously increasing prevalence, requiring accurate and continuous blood glucose monitoring. Venous blood glucose measurement using enzymatic methods remains the clinical gold standard; however, it is invasive and less practical for routine monitoring. Recent advances in sensor technology provide opportunities to develop more practical and user-friendly glucose monitoring devices. This preliminary pilot study aimed to develop and validate a needle-free sensor-based device for blood glucose monitoring and to evaluate the agreement of its measurement results with venous blood glucose examination using enzymatic methods as the reference standard. This study employed a research and development approach. The initial stage involved designing and developing a prototype sensor that monitors blood glucose without a needle. Device validation was conducted by experts to assess technical performance, safety, and usability. Subsequently, a pilot measurement of random blood glucose levels was performed among 25 patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus in a primary healthcare setting, and the measurement results were compared with venous blood glucose values obtained using enzymatic methods. The validation results indicated that the device was technically feasible, safe to use, and easy to operate. Pilot testing demonstrated that the sensor-based device produced blood glucose measurements comparable to those from the reference method (Wilcoxon Signed Ranks Test: Z = 0.000, p = 1.000), providing preliminary evidence of statistical similarity. However, further refinement is required, particularly in the interpretation and display of measurement results. These findings represent initial proof-of-concept for the device as an alternative tool for blood glucose monitoring, especially in primary healthcare settings and for patient self-monitoring. Comprehensive studies with larger, more diverse samples and advanced clinical agreement analyses (Bland-Altman plots, and MARD) are needed to confirm clinical accuracy and reliability.
