Abstract

The aims of this research is obtaining the empirical data about the difference of learning output of the students using Cooperative Learning Method STAD Model and Group Discussion Method at the vocational school subject: Static and Stress in SMK Negeri 26 Jakarta. The observation time starts from August 2011 until September 2011 The method for this research is using experimental method. The population is generalized to 216 students of SMK Negeri 26 Jakarta majoring in Technical Drawing for Building which samples are limited to the 11th grade students TGB 1 consisted of 36 students as the firstexperimental class, and TGB 2 consisted of 36 students as the second experimental class. The instrument for this research is test results based on the first test consisted of 30 multiple choice problems. Before the instrument is executed, we do the item validity test and reliability test through the problems. Based on the calculation, it displays that 25 instruments are valid and the rest 5 instruments are invalid for the problem test with the reliability index of 0.90. The analytical requirement test is performed using the normality and homogeneity test. The result shows that from those two classes is revealed to be based on the normally distributed population and homogeneous. Besides, the hypothesis test shows the value of 2.72 which is larger than the required value 1.68, so the H0 is rejected which means that the deviation exists. The final result informs that the difference is occurred during the implementation of cooperative learning method STAD model and group discussion method to the learning output at the vocational school subject: Static and Stress in SMKN 26 Jakarta. The conclusion from this research is the cooperative learning method STAD model is moreeffective compares to the group discussion method.

Abstract

The aims of this research is obtaining the empirical data about the difference of learning output of the students who are taught using Microsoft PowerPoint for experimental class and using Microsoft Wordfor control class at the subject: Vocational Furniture in SMK Negeri 52 Jakarta. The observation time starts from November 2010 until December 2010. The method used in this research is experimental method. A number of 180 students from the 11th grade students of SMKN 52 Jakarta are populated to be the subject of the experiment where thepurposive sampling is applied. The XI TKF A consists of 15 students is grouped as the control class and the XI TKF B consists of 15 students is grouped as the experimental class. The instrument of research is in the format of test results; the 1st – 3rd test makes use of the essay problems consisted of 5 problems at the end of the meeting either for the control class or experimental class, otherwise the multiple choice problems are applied for the 4th test consisted of 25 problems. The item validity test and reliability test are treated before the instrument is used. It shows that 20 instruments is valid whereas the other 5 problems is invalid in the 4th test with the reliability index 0.802. Since the reliability index is high, so the 25-multiple-choice-problem is insisted to be run as the research instrument. Normality test and homogeneity test are chosen as the analytical requirement test. The results from the sampling data show that it is normally distributed and homogeneous. While, the hypothesis is tested.

Abstract

This research shows with regard to the evaluation of learning implementation in the vocational school of 1, 26 and 35 of Jakarta particularly the skills of structure image engineering of student grade X in the subject of image technique, which is observed from planning, implementing and lesson result view. It is descriptive evaluative research by using quantitative approach. The model of study choosen is stake evaluation as the researcher has a tendency to understand learning activity which is seen from planning, implementing and lesson result view. The study is carried out in state vocational school of 1, 26, and 35 Jakarta with 118 respondents of student grade X. 36 questionnaires are used for the method of gathering data which had been tested for knowing the valitidy and reliability instrument of the questionnaire in advance. Percentage descriptive analisis is used for the technique of analysis. The aforementioned evidence reveals that the implementation of learning in state vocational school of 1, 26 and 35 Jakarta particularly the skills of structure image engineering of student grade X in the subject of image technique can be seen: The evaluation percentage to lesson plan which include planning of maintaining learning activity, planning of managing study, planning of class management, and planning of student achievements show very good resuly at the average of 80,30%, percentage of learning evaluation includes space, time, learning facility, knowing understanding learning material, using learning source or resource, managing class interaction, assignment implementation, and giving feedback reveals best resuly at the average of 79,83% and learning evaluation indicator include undertaking grading over the course of learning process, grading to the student behavior on learning, and student result which is grouped very good with the average of 80,93%.

Abstract

Multiple choice test is generally used in midterm examinations, especially for the tenth grade students of Graphics Engineering in SMKN 1 Jakarta. Some of the subjects which use this type of test are Building Construction and Engineering Graphics. Nevertheless, the quality of each question of the tests has not been proven yet. Therefore, analysis towards the quality of each question on the test is needed. This research aims to know the quality of each question in multiple choice tests made by teacher for all subjects in civil engineering program SMKN 1 Jakarta. Qualitative descriptive method would be used in this research. The result of this research shows that Building Construction and Engineering Graphics have good content validity and construct validity, high reliability questions, proper difficulty levels (proportionally divided), effective tricky questions, and properly used bahasa Indonesia. Thus, hese multiple choice questions can be used as a reference in making other multiple choice questions for the next midterm examination week, under the condition that improvements are done throughoutly in order to achieve maximum result. To this point, it can be concluded that multiple choice questions, in graphics engineering program already have good quality.

Abstract

This research aimed to understand students’ perception about PKM students teaching skills majoring in building technique. The research took places in SMKN 1 Jakarta, SMKN 4 Jakarta, SMKN 26 Jakarta, SMKN 35 Jakarta, SMKN 58 Jakarta, and SMKN 1 Cibinong in between April-May 2015.The method used in this research is the Survey method. The subjects of this research were the student from the 10th grade that are taught theoretically by the teachers from the PKM program from Civil Engineering, State University Of Jakarta 102 semester, while the population consists of the student from SMKN 1 Jakarta, SMKN 4 Jakarta, SMKN 26 Jakarta, SMKN 35 Jakarta, SMKN 58 Jakarta, and SMKN 1 Cibinong Program Building Engineering expertise as much as 532 students in those vocational schools, and 221 samplers were taken by purposive sampling method. The instruments used in this research to collect the data about the students perception, are questionnaire about students perception on PKM students teaching skills majoring in building technique. The data processing is valid and reliable, with very high reliability number of r11= 0,956, with 32 numbers of questions.The result shows that the PKM students are skilled already in questioning (85%), giving variation (68%), explaining (67%), class management (72%), starting and closing the lesson (69%), guiding small groups (67%), and teaching small groups and individual (70%). Yet in giving reinforcement, it is still considered as low (49%).

Abstract

The Objectives of this study to determine the suitability of the curriculumpercentage Building Technical Education Program Studies, State University ofJakarta seen from the competence requirements of construction work in theworld of work. Where the research conducted in the Department of CivilEngineering, State University of Jakarta. The method used is the method ofobservation.The data used in this study is SKKNI of position Young ExpertsImplementing Structure, Young Experts Construction Management, SkilledConstruction Supervisors, and young Experts Quantity Surveyor. Data used forthe course syllabus related to the job, the Construction Management, Scienceof Building Materials, Health and Safety, Practice of Soil Mechanics, BudgetPlan, Environmental Impact Assessment, and Practice Test Materials. Dataprocessing is done by creating a checklist tables and calculation of thepercentage.Results of this study are subject Construction Management 50%according, Science of Buiding Materials 92,85% according, Health and Safety28,57% according, Practice of Soil Mechanics 92,85% according, Budget Plan85,71% according, Environmental Impact Assessment 14,28% according, andPractice Test Materials 85,71% according. There is congruence between theEducation Program Building Engineering curriculum, State University of Jakartawith SKKNI. Of 7 subjects who reviewed syllabus, 4 course syllabus is inaccordance with SKKNI, 2 course syllabus is quite in accordance with SKKNI,and 1 course syllabus is not in accordance with SKKNI

Abstract

This study aims to develop e-module-based teaching materials for building materials science courses in the Building Engineering Education Study Program, Faculty of Engineering, State University of Jakarta. The method used in this research is Research and Development (R&D) with the 4D model consisting of Define, Design, Develop, and Disseminate. This research begins with the collection of needs analysis data through questionnaires, product design, product validation, limited product trials, and ends with user assessment of the products that have been developed. The results of material expert validation on e-modules were declared very feasible by obtaining a percentage of 89.39%, and media expert validation was declared very feasible with a percentage of 93.94%. The results of the limited trial on each e-module showed an increase in learning outcomes, and the e-module received a positive assessment from users by obtaining a percentage of 93.65% with a very feasible category. It can be concluded that e-modules can be used in learning building materials science courses in the Building Engineering Education Study Program, Faculty of Engineering, State University of Jakarta.
