Abstract

            Sebagaimana terefleksi pada judul di atas, fokus utama yang dibahas dalam makalah ini adalah tentang kesesuaian antara agama Islam dengan industri pariwisata. Tema ini menjadi penting untuk dibicarakan karena, pertama, ada pendapat dari sekelompok umat Islam yang mempertentangkan antara ajaran Islam dengan industri pariwisata. Kelompok ini berpendapat bahwa industri pariwisata tidak akan berkembang dan maju di sebuah masyarakat Islam yang menganut agama tersebut secara ketat dan kuat (kaffah).  Semangat Islam dengan etos dunia pariwisata bertolak belakang seratus delapan puluh derajat sehingga tidak mungkin dipertemukan. Ketika pendapat seperti ini diterima dan diyakini oleh suatu masyarakat, secara otomatis, industri pariwisata tidak akan berkembang di masyarakat tersebut.            Tema ini juga menjadi penting dibahas dalam konteks Aceh karena penduduk yang mendiami provinsi ini adalah mayoritas beragama Islam. Provinsi Aceh bukan saja dikenal dengan julukan “Serambi Mekkah” yang dengan julukan tersebut menunjukkan keeratan/keidentikan Aceh dengan Islam, juga karena sejak tahun 2002, Syariat Islam telah berlaku secara formal di provinsi ini. Pengembangan pariwisata di suatu wilayah selalu terkait dengan potensi dan karakteristik dasar yang dimiliki oleh masyarakat di wilayah tersebut. Karenanya, tema tentang Islam dan dunia kepariwisataan menjadi sebuah topik penting untuk diperbincangkan dalam rangka mengembangan industri pariwisata di provinsi Aceh.            Tulisan ini dibagi ke dalam dua bagian. Bagian pertama membahas tentang hubungan Islam dengan kebudayaan. Islam adalah sebuah agama yang berasal dari Allah swt. dan diajarkan oleh Rasul-Nya Muhammad saw. serta ajarannya telah final (tidak ada penambahan dan pengurangan). Sementara kebudayaan adalah keseluruhan produk yang dihasilkan oleh manusia, baik dalam wujud cultural ideas, cultural activities, maupun cultural artifacts. Bagian kedua dari tulisan ini akan membahas tentang kesesuaian ajaran Islam yang berkaitan dengan kepariwisataan. Kebudayaan merupakan faktor penting dalam kepariwisataan. Setiap perbincangan tentang kepariwisataan, perbincangan ini tidak terlepas dari aspek budaya masyarakat setempat. Karenanya, bagian kedua tulisan ini membahas tentang korelasi Islam dan budaya Aceh terhadap program pengembangan kepariwisataan di Aceh.

Abstract

The Acheh Ulama who live in the early of 21st century do not play their esential role in multifunctional frame and polimorfict leadership pattern as the characteristic of the Achehness Ulama did in the past. Yet, now they perform one role only (monofunctional) in monomorfic leadership system. Nevertheless, this research found that Ulama’s leadership is still needed by the Acehness community.

Abstract

This paper discusses the boundary line between culture and religion, especially in connection to Is-lam. From an anthropological perspective, religion is regarded as one element of universal elements of culture.Religion is sacral, while culture is profane. In addition, Islam is not a cultural religion, it comes from Allah,the Almighty God. Therefore, the issue of the boundary between culture and religion is important to discuss.Through the searching of each characteristic, the boundary line between culture and religion could be found.

Abstract

The emergence of a cult is a prominent issue in Aceh in the last decade. Some stream cults have highly attractiveness power, especially among young people and students, so that they are joining into this stream. This situation led to unrest in people's daily lives, especially among the parent, religious leaders and community leaders. One way to reduce the appearance of this cult is through reinforcement the local wisdom. Based on local knowledge Aceh there are three forces that must be reaffirmed, namely, household, informal leaders in villages and educational institutions. Through the strengthening of the three institutions, it is hoped, a cult will not develop in Aceh

Abstract

This article is entitled "The Papar Tradition in the Custom on Death in Teupah Tengah Subdistrict, Simeulue Regency". The purpose of this research is to examine the history of papar tradition in Simeulue, reasons among the people who perform or not perform the tradition, to find out meanings and symbols contained in the papar tradition, and to understand the perception of the community and scholars to the papar tradition. This study applies a qualitative method. This method is used to explore sources of information and data in the form of interviews and documentation. The research results show that the Papar Tradition has existed from the time of ancestors to the present. In the Papar tradition, there are several processes carried out, namely, the Sarak Papar process: Sarak is the delivery, while the Papar is the details; the Manjalang Tuaik Faten process means inviting relatives, the Mangatuk Lulumang process means informing all invitees that the family no longer have a father. Mangameleng process means to return, process of Manidau means to restore.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to learn more about how the Thaipusam Tamil Hindu festival is celebrated in Banda Aceh, as well as how the people of Banda Aceh feel about it. The Thaipussam ritual is a Hindu religious ceremony that the Tamil ethnic minority follows. This ceremony is performed as a thank you to Lord Murugan or Lord Subramanyam, who gives life with safety, tranquility, and prosperity. This rite is also performed as a penance and on the day when vows are paid. This study employed a qualitative approach, including observation, interviews, and documentation as tools. The acquired data was analyzed using techniques such as data reduction, data presentation, conclusion drawing, and verification. The findings of this study show that the Thaipusam ritual is not just a religious activity for the Tamil people of Banda Aceh, but also an ethnic identity. Despite being a minority, this tradition makes the Tamil ethnic group's existence in Banda Aceh known, ensuring that ordinary people are not disturbed by the celebration. The contact between Tamil Hindus and other religious communities has never been tense or contentious. They all live in peace and love, never interfering with or mocking one another's religious beliefs.

Abstract

Abu Hasan Krueng Kalee is one of Aceh's charismatic scholars who teaches religious knowledge and other sciences. Abu Hasan Krueng Kalee has an important role in the sustainability of education, politics, and religion in Aceh. The research location that the author examined was Siem Village, Darussalam Sub-District. In this study, the authors used historical research methods, namely investigations that apply scientific solutions to the historical perspective of a problem with the steps of data collection, source criticism, interpretation, and writing method. The author draws a number of conclusions concerning Teungku Hasan bin Teungku Muhammad Hanafiyyah bin Teungku Shaykh 'Abbas bin Teungku Muhammad Fadhil based on the findings of the investigation. Muhammad Hasan was given the first name when he was born on 13 Rajab 1303 H, which corresponds to 18 April 1886 AD, in Gampong Langgoe Meunasah Keutumbu Village, Sangeue, Pidie. Teungku Haji Muhammad Hanafiyah bin Teungku Sheikh Abbas, often known as Teungku Chik Krueng Kalee One or Teungku Haji Muda Krueng Kalee, is the father of Abu Hasan Krueng Kalee. Nya'Ti Hafsah bint Teungku Ismail, the mother of Abu Hasan Krueng Kalee, was of Arab ancestry and migrated through Pase. Teungku Syekh Abdul Wahab and Asiah, two brothers of Abu Hasan Krueng Kalee.. Abu Hasan Krueng Kalee's contributions to religion and the country have been made in the areas of politics, education, and religion. Additionally, works of Abu Hasan Krueng Kalee might be used to instruct students. The writings include “Risalah Latifah Fi Adabi’z_Zikry” as well as “Jawahiru’I-‘ulum Fi kasyfi’I-ma’lum, An’amatu’I-fa-idatu fi isti’mali qa’odati’r-rabitat, ­Siraju’s-Salikin’ala minhaju’I-‘abidin.

Abstract

Oil palm is one of the plantation commodities that needs to increase its production as it is a major producer of vegetable oil. The expansion of oil palm plantations has been taking place in various regions, including Aceh, particularly in Ujong Krueng Village, Tripa Makmur sub-district, Nagan Raya regency. The purpose of this research is to explore the history of female labor in oil palm plantations and understand the lives of female workers in Ujong Krueng Village. The research methods employed include observation and interviews. The results indicate that female laborers are workers in oil palm plantations who earn wages from the landowners. The emergence of women as laborers in Ujong Krueng's oil palm plantations is due to the increasing number of plantations and their rapid growth, requiring a large labor force. This provides opportunities for women who want to contribute to their family's economy. The lives of female laborers in Ujong Krueng include: firstly, women have a dual role, working both in their homes and in public spacec; secondly, some women, especially those who are widowed or whose husband is are dealing with severe illness, take on the responsibility of being breadwinners; thirdly, the economic of the community is positively impacted by income generated from oil palm plantations, meeting the basic living needs; fourthly, women are now undertaking tasks that were traditionally performed by men, such as transporting harvested produce.

Abstract

Abstract: The implementation of the life cycle rituals of the Kluet community often begins with seeing Hari Bulan so that nothing undesirable happens. This research aims to find out the origin of Hari Bulan, the meaning of Hari Bulan, the determination of Hari Bulan, and the preservation of Hari Bulan. This is qualitative research conducted in North Kluet District, South Aceh. The data source was obtained from local traditional leaders who know well about Hari Bulan. Data collection techniques were carried out using interviews, observation, and documentation. Data analysis uses the Miles and Huberman interactive data analysis model. The findings show that the origin of Hari Bulan was not clearly revealed when it appeared in Northern Kluet society. Hari Bulan cannot be separated from the origin of the arrival of Islam itself in Aceh, especially in North Kluet. In one month there are good and bad Hari Bulan. Therefore, the Kluet people carry out life cycle rituals on auspicious days according to Hari Bulan. To preserve it, we need mobilizers, observers, and supporters from various levels of society to keep maintaining and developing a strong motivation to participate in the preservation of the tradition of seeing Hari Bulan.

Abstract

Keberadaan naskah kuno yang tersebar di seluruh Indonesia Sebagian besar masih disimpan oleh Masyarakat dan belum mendapatkan perlindungan, perwatan, pelestarian. Untuk menjaga agar naskah tersebut tetap dapat digunakan dalam jangka Panjang maka dilakukanlah kegiatan digitalisasi sebagai upaya pelestarian naskah kuno. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui upaya apa yang dilakukan oleh Perpustakaan Rumoh Manuskrip dalam melakukan pelestarian naskah kuno. Metode penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif dengan pengumpulan data observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa proses pelestarian dilakukan dengan tiga tahap: Pra-digitalisasi (penelusuran, seleksi, katalogisasi, klasifikasi), Digitalisasi (pengambilan data, verifikasi, editing, konversi), dan pasca-digitalisasi (penyimpanan dan distribusi data secara offline maupun online). Temuan penting dari penelitan ini menunjukkan bahwa digitalisasi tidak hanya berfungsi sebagai perubahan bentuk konversi tetapi juga mengubah naskah kuno menjadi komponen aktif ruang public digital. Dengan memindahkan akses naskah dari ruang privat ke ruang public digital. Perpustakaan Rumoh Manuskrip Aceh berperan sebagai fasilitator demokratisi pengetahuan loka;. Digitalisasi menjadi strategi pelestarian sekaligus memperluas fungsi sosial naskah kuno sebagai sumber belajar, identitas budaya, dan akademik. Adapun kendala yang dihadapi Perpustakaan Rumoh Manuskrip Aceh dalam upaya pelestarian naskah kuno meliputi: kondisi fisik naskah, sumber daya manusia (SDM) dan anggaran.
