Abstract

he purpose of this study is to get information about river that has the greatest contribution to cause Pb pollution in the Jakarta Bay. Nine (9) of 13 rivers flowing into Jakarta Bay were chosen. They were Citarum, Bekasi, Cilincing, Marunda, Ciliwung, Sunter, Cideng, Angke, and Cisadane. Sampling were taken in two periods of times, rainy and dry season of 2006 with triple repeatations. pH and temperature of samples as proponent data were measured insitu. Pb concentration in the water of the river was measured by using AAS flame in the laboratory of Balai Penelitian Tanah Bogor. Data was analyzed statistically (one way ANOVA and t-test) by using SPSS 11.5 software. It was shown that Pb concentration of estuary water surrounding Jakarta Bay has been exceeding threshold level. There was a tendency that Pb concentrations of water in rainy season are lower than that in dry season except in Ciliwung River. The anomaly of Ciliwung River was probably caused by some industries which throw their wastes into Ciliwung River in the rainy season. It was concluded that all of 9 rivers have a significant contribution to Pb pollution in Jakarta Bay, and the most was from Ciliwung River.

Abstract

This research was made for knowing if there’s of the use of relation between The Use of Fresh Water and The Prevention of Diare Treatment Disease With Diare of babies and children (Balita) in sub district Kebon Bawang of Tanjung Priok. This research use descriptive method and correlation approach conducted of many mothers in sub district of Tanjung Priok Jakarta Utara with 13.687 people of research population 162 samples of people or 1,2 % of population taken with purposive random sampling technique. The results of the first hypothesis showed that there is a positive relation and significant between The Use of Fresh Water with Diare on babies and children in sub district of Tanjung Priok with truth of examination. The result of the second hypothesis showed there is a positive relation and significant between The Prevention of Diare Treatment Disease with Diare on babies and children (Balita) in sub district of Tanjung Priok with truth of examination. The result of third hypothesis showed that there is a positive relation and significant between The Use of Fresh Water and The Prevention of Diare Treatment Disease with Diare a long with the babies and children (Balita) in sub district of Tanjung Priok with the truth of examination. The conclusion of this research is the positive relation and significant between The Use of Fresh Water with Diare of babies and children (Balita), between The Prevention of Diare Treatment Disease and between The Use of Fresh Water and The Prevention of Diare Treatment Disease with Diare a long with the babies and children (Balita) in sub district of Tanjung Priok North Jakarta.

Abstract

This article was written based on the research results on factors influencing the quality of tutorials activities of the S1 PGDS Program implemented by the learning groups in Pangkal Pinang regional office. These factors include: 1) preparation tutorials; 2) implementation of the tutorial; 3) interaction of the tutorial classes. The analysis showed that: preparation of tutors: (a) close proximity to a tutorial site, the average value of readiness tutor 4.65 value of 4.74 and tutor activities; value 4.32 while the value of readiness tutor 4.63; tutor activity value 4.58; value of 4.03 students in tutorials; and activities of the manager with a value of 4.67; (b) medium-range, the value of readiness tutors activity value of 4.48 and 4.42,l value of 4.15 student activity, where as the value of management activities 4.34; (c) distance, the value of the student activities management for 4.56; 2) implementation of tutorials , active student learning during the tutorial with a good category for 87.5 % and 12.5 % fairly category, so the average tutor activity; 3) interaction of the tutorial classes, tutors in the implementation of the tutorial activities attract enough students, tutors while walking around the class asking students difficulty understanding when self-learning modules. In addition, to motivate students to study harder, read and understand the module more. ABSTRAKArtikel ini ditulis berdasarkan hasil penelitian tentang faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi kualitas tutorial Program S1 PGSD di UPBJJ-UT Pangkal Pinang. Faktor-faktor tersebut meliputi: 1) persiapan tutorial; 2) pelaksanaan tutorial; dan 3) interaksi kelas tutorial. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa: 1) persiapan tutor: (a) jarak dekat dengan lokasi tutorial, nilai rata-rata kesiapan tutor 4,63; nilai aktivitas tutor 4,58; nilai mahasiswa pada tutorial 4,03, dan aktivitas pengelola dengan nilai 4,67; (b) jarak sedang, nilai kesiapan tutor 4,48 dan nilai aktivitas tutor 4,42; nilai aktivitas mahasiswa 4,15; sedangkan nilai aktivitas pengelola 4,34; (c) jarak jauh, nilai kesiapan tutor 4,65 dan nilai aktivitas tutor 4,74; nilai aktivitas mahasiswa 4,32 sedangkan nilai aktivitas pengelola sebesar 4,56; 2) pelaksanaan tutorial, keaktifan belajar mahasiswa selama mengikuti tutorial dengan kategori baik sebesar 87,5 % dan kategori cukup sebesar 12,5 %, sehingga aktivitas tutor rata-rata baik; 3) interaksi kelas tutorial, aktivitas tutor dalam pelaksanaan tutorial cukup menarik perhatian mahasiswa, tutor berjalan berkeliling kelas sambil menanyakan kesulitan mahasiswa dalam memahami modul saat belajar mandiri. Di samping itu, memotivasi mahasiswa agar lebih giat belajar, membaca dan memahami modul.

Abstract

Research related to alumni in a study program is often carried out to determine the quality of a university. It is no exception in distance universities such as Universitas Terbuka (UT). This study aims to determine how the ethical profile and competency profile in the field of biology education in alumni of the Biology Education study program, Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, Universitas Terbuka. This survey study was conducted using the alumni user population of UT Biology Education students with a research sample of 35 people. There are five indicators to measure the ethical profile of alumni and five indicators related to competency profile. The five ethical indicators include respect, not looking down on others, respecting the opinions of others, behaving politely, and helping others. Alumni competency indicators consist of providing opportunities for students to master the material, carry out learning according to the curriculum, analyze student learning outcomes, play an active role in various activities, and prepare learning materials. The alumni users include the principals and vice principals of the schools where alumni teach. The sample is acquired based on the random sampling techniques. Data was obtained through interviews and questionnaires given to alumni users.  Next, the data is analyzed descriptively. The result, informed us about the average ethical profile of biology education alumni was 89.57 while the average profile of competence or expertise in the field of science was 84.71. Abstract

Salah satu matakuliah di Prodi PGSD UT adalah matakuliah Pendidikan Lingkungan Hidup (PLH). Matakuliah ini merupakan matakuliah yang amat penting karena masalah lingkungan hidup merupakan suatu masalah yang sedang terjadi di negara kita. Masalah lingkungan hidup harus disikapi dengan baik karena akibat dari mengabaikan dan menghancurkan lingkungan akan dirasakan oleh masyarakat negara kita sendiri, misalnya seperti banjir, kemarau, kekurangan air bersih dan udara yang kurang sehat. Selama ini materi dalam matakuliah PLH tersebut lebih banyak ke teori. Oleh sebab itu, dalam kegiatan pengabdian pada masyarakat ini, tim UT berupaya memberikan suatu arahan dan bimbingan agar PLH dapat juga dipraktekkan oleh mahasiswa PGSD UT. Praktek PLH dalam kegiatan abdimas ini adalah kegiatan penyadaran akan pentingnya semua anggota masyarakat untuk berupaya mencintai lingkungannya melalui kegiatan pengembangan literasi lingkungan untuk mahasiswa PGSD UT yang berada di Pokjar Putut Nutug 01 Ciseeng. Mitra PkM dalam hal ini kepala sekolah dan Pokjar SD Negeri Putat Nutug 01 telah mencoba menerapkan berbagai cara untuk melakukan edukasi terhadap guru-guru dan seluruh siswa dengan berbagai cara, diantaranya dengan menyediakan tempat sampah di berbagai tempat, membuat banner dan spanduk tentang Menuju Sekolah Adiwiyata, Menyusun Visi Misi yang disesuaikan dengan rencana Sekolah Adiwiyata. Dari kegiatan PkM ini tersirat bahwa seluruh mitra telah memiliki kesadaran akan pentingnya menjaga lingkungan sekitar.

Abstract

This community service activity aims to increase the knowledge and awareness of students affected by the Cianjur earthquake regarding healthy environmental management, including how to wash hands properly, sorting waste, and managing organic waste into compost. The targets of this activity were students and teachers at SD Negeri Sukamaju 1 Cugenang. The method of implementing this community service used socialization and practice. The results of this service showed that teachers and students increased knowledge about how to wash hands properly, could manage waste so that less waste was disposed of, and could produce their fertilizer from household waste. It also led to increased awareness of a healthy living environment in the environment of SD Negeri Sukamaju 1 Cugenang and its surroundings.

Abstract

This survey research was conducted with the aim of knowing how the portrait of mastery of competence of Open University Biology Education study program graduates as biology teachers also their mastery of technology in learning. The graduates are junior high school teachers and high school teachers. The research sample was taken randomly until a sample of 94 graduates and 47 graduate users were obtained in various regions in Indonesia, such as Bogor, Central Jakarta, Pontianak, Serang, Cianjur, Pekanbaru and Bandung. The instruments used are questionnaire instruments with Likert scales and interview guidelines conducted to graduate users and graduates. Furthermore, the data is analyzed descriptively to get a portrait of mastery of competence and technology in learning. The results of the data analysis showed that the portrait of mastery of competence was categorized as very good / high, which was indicated by a value of 98.94% (graduate self-reflection) and 97.87% (assessment by graduate users). In addition, from the results of the analysis, it is also known that the portrait of mastery of technology in graduate learning is categorized as very good / high with a value of 91.49% (based on graduate self-reflection and assessment by graduate users)

Abstract

Produksi sampah meningkat setiap hari. Di Tangerang Selatan, akumulasi sampah tahunan mencapai 369.177,50 ton pada 2023. Pengelolaan sampah sulit dilakukan sendiri, terutama dengan volume besar. Sebagai institusi pendidikan, Universitas Terbuka (UT) berkomitmen mengatasi masalah lingkungan melalui gerakan UT Go Green sejak 2010. Namun, sistem pengelolaan sampah anorganik di UT belum optimal. Dibutuhkan kerja sama dengan pihak eksternal, seperti Rekosistem. Penelitian ini bertujuan menjadikan UT pelopor dalam memanfaatkan waste station Rekosistem untuk mengelola sampah di lingkungan FKIP UT. Penelitian berlangsung selama tiga bulan, dari September hingga November 2024, dengan metode kuantitatif. Sampel yang dianalisis adalah sampah plastik anorganik, menggunakan statistik deskriptif. Pengelolaan sampah di FKIP UT dilakukan melalui pemilahan (sort), pengemasan (pack), dan pengiriman (drop). Sampah telah dikirimkan dua kali ke waste station Rekosistem yang berlokasi di Hero Supermarket, Lebak Bulus, dan Kemang, Jakarta Selatan, dengan total 5,1 kg. Jika dibandingkan dengan total sampah 10 hari, yaitu 58 kg, jumlah ini masih kecil. Namun, waste station Rekosistem terbukti membantu mengurangi sampah anorganik di lingkungan kerja.

Abstract

Abstract: This community service activity aims to improve environmental literacy and English language skills of the people of Lengkong Kulon Village, Pagedangan, Kabupaten Tangerang. By referring to the sustainable development goals (SDGs) and for the development of tourism areas in Lengkong Kulon Village,  this Community Service Activity is expected to help encourage village independence through an understanding of environmental issues and increased foreign language competency, especially English, which will open economic and social opportunities for the local community and facilitate the development of tourism areas in the village. This activity is carried out through training and socialization involving the village community, with an approach based on active involvement and the use of relevant technology. This Community Service activity focus on developing environmental literacy and food pedagogy to the Lengkong Kulon Village community through groups of mothers of PAUD students and PAUD teachers as well as Lengkong Kulon village officials. Keywords: environmental literacy , food literacy, food pedagogy  Abstrak: Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan literasi lingkungan dan kemampuan bahasa Inggris masyarakat Desa Lengkong Kulon, Kecamatan Pagedangan, Kabupaten Tangerang. Dengan mengacu pada tujuan pembangunan berkelanjutan (SDGs) serta untuk pengembangan daerah wisata di desa Lengkong Kulon.  Kegiatan Pengabdian pada Masyarakat ini diharapkan dapat membantu mendorong kemandirian desa melalui pemahaman terhadap isu-isu lingkungan serta peningkatan kompetensi bahasa asing, khususnya bahasa Inggris, yang akan membuka peluang ekonomi dan sosial bagi masyarakat setempat dan memperlancar pengembangan daerah wisata di desa tersebut. Kegiatan ini dilakukan melalui pelatihan dan sosialisasi yang melibatkan masyarakat desa, dengan pendekatan yang berbasis pada keterlibatan aktif serta pemanfaatan teknologi yang relevan. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada Masyarakat berfokus kepada pengembangan literasi lingkungan dan pedagogi pangan (food pedagogy) kepada Masyarakat desa Lengkong Kulon melalui kelompok ibu-ibu wali murid PAUD dan guru-guru PAUD serta aparat desa Lengkong Kulon.Kata Kunci: literasi lingkungan, literasi makanan, pedagogi pangan
