Abstract

This research focus oh how students apply pragmatylistics in personal essay whereas their background are organization activist who also have good academic achievement. This research apply some theories in analyzing data, namely: stylistics, personal essay and communication. This research used descriptive qualitative method. Beside that this research use two data collection techniques: observation and interview. So that this research describe phenomenon which relate to research problem. Based on the findings, students apply some of stylistics expression which categorize into two: (1) lexical features: pararelism, and rhetorical question, and comparison and (2) figurative language: accumulation, ephipora, hyphopora, personification, accumulation, simile, symbol, metaphor, and antithesis

Abstract

Artikel ini bertujuan untuk memaparkan pemanfaatan salah satu potensi alam serta salah satu upaya untuk mengangkat kebudayaan lokal yang ada di desa Jarak. Pemanfaatan potensi alam berupa pengolahan biji durian menjadi produk olahan keripik biji durian dan salah satu upaya mengangkat kebudayaan lokal berupa karya tulis cerita pendek  mengenai budaya lokal dan tradisi yang ada di desa Jarak yang ditulis oleh siswa dan siswi di desa Jarak. Metode pelaksanaan yang digunakan adalah observasi (pengamatan langsung kondisi lingkungan dan kegitan perekonomian) , wawancara ( tanya jawab secara langsung kepada staf desa dan masyarakat)  dan dokumentasi (data kependudukan). Sasaran utama dari program ini adalah masyarakat desa. Hasil atau luaran dari program ini yaitu berupa produk olahan keripik biji durian dengan aneka rasa serta buku antologi cerita pendek yang berisikan kumpulan cerita pendek karya siswa dan siswi MA Anjasmoro.

Abstract

Pesatnya perkembangan teknologi mendorong pengajar untuk memanfaatkan teknologi menggunakan media elektronik sebagai media pembelajaran sebagai alat dukung dalam proses pembelajaran. Salah satu media pembelajaran yang memanfaatkan teknologi adalah Powtoon sebagai media presentasi yang dapat diubah menjadi video dan dapat diputar berulang-ulang. Powtoon adalah aplikasi online dengan animasi kartun yang menghadirkan efek transisi yang hidup. Powtoon mampu menyajikan materi yang lebih efektif melalui kemampuan visual, teks, grafis, gambar, foto, sound dan animasi. Mahasiswa STKIP PGRI Jombang yang melaksanakan kegiatan Real Teaching mempunyai permasalahan pada penyampaian materi dengan bentuk presentasi yang masih belum menarik. Kegiatan pengabdian yang bertujuan memberikan pelatihan media pembelajaran powtoon untuk meningkatkan kreativitas bagi mahasiswa real teaching dalam menyampaikan materi mampu memberikan solusi dengan baik. Pelatihan ini dilaksanakan di STKIP PGRI Jombang dengan sasaran mahasiswa prodi pendidikan Bahasa Inggris yang melaksanakan kegiatan Real Teaching pada semester Genap 2019/2020. Kegiatan yang telah dilaksanakan adalah sebagai berikut: membuat Group WA, penyampaian materi melalui video, diskusi, tanya jawab, dan praktek. Pelatihan ini menghasilkan kemampuan mahasiswa real teaching dalam pembuatan bahan ajar berbasis media pembelajaran powtoon dan produknya dapat diimplementasikan pada kegiatan pembelajaran di kelas dan dapat menciptakan pembelajaran yang aktif, inovatif, kreatif, dan menyengkan.

Abstract

The Kampus Mengajar program is one of the government programs in which college students from all over Indonesia can participate. The placement of the Kampus Mengajar program is in marginal schools that are lagging in elementary and junior high schools. Students are expected to serve in these schools as help staff. Therefore, self-efficacy is important to support their ability to complete their assignments. This study aimed to determine students’ self-efficacy in the Kampus Mengajar program in English Department STKIP PGRI Jombang. This study adapted the three dimensions of self-efficacy from Bandura's theory, namely the level dimension, generalization dimension, and strength dimension. The respondents of this study were students majoring in English from STKIP PGRI Jombang who took part in the Kampus Mengajar program batch 3. There are 8 of them and they take part in the Kampus Mengajar program in semester 5. A qualitative case study was used in this research. The research instruments are questionnaires and interviews to get accurate results. The type of questionnaire used was a closed-ended questionnaire and the results were strengthened by the interview process. The results show that the respondents have self-efficacy to carry out the assignment in the Kampus Mengajar placement school program.
