Abstract

Personal Hygiene needs special attention for pregnant women, the World Health Organization Indonesia (WHO Indonesia) has issued the importance of personal hygiene. Personal Hygiene for pregnant women is cleaning performed by pregnant women to reduce the possibility of infection. The purpose of this activity is to increase the knowledge and understanding of pregnant women about personal hygiene during pregnancy and to increase the awareness of pregnant women to always be able to maintain personal hygiene. Activities carried out for all pregnant women at the Susi Midwife Practice. The activity is carried out by providing education in the form of counseling using the lecture method with the help of a media projector. The time required to deliver the material is 50 minutes. There is an increase in the knowledge of pregnant women about the importance of maintaining personal hygiene during pregnancy.

Abstract

Dental caries is a disease of the hard tissue of the teeth caused by bacterial activity. Dental caries can occur in every child which can arise on the surface of the teeth and can extend to deeper parts of the teeth. The purpose of this activity is to know the health management of caries prevention in children through dental and oral hygiene. Activities carried out for all parents and children at the Betungan Health Center. The activity was carried out by providing education in the form of counseling using the lecture method with the help of projector media and leaflets. The time required to deliver the material is 30 minutes. The participants in the community service activities at the Betungan Health Center were very enthusiastic so that the activities ran smoothly.

Abstract

Asphyxia neonatorum is a condition that needs attention because it is related to the quality of life so that at every delivery it is hoped that there will be no disabilities that can affect life in the future. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between the relationship of vacuum childbirth with the incidence of asphyxia neonatorum in RSUD Dr. M. Yunus Bengkulu. This research was a quantitative study with a cross sectional design. The total sample was 115 patients that who experienced asphyxia at birth by vacuum extraction. The results showed there was a significant correlation between vacuum childbirth with the incidence of asphyxia neonatorum in RSUD Dr. M. Yunus Bengkulu with p value <0.05.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the Comparison of the Effectiveness of Brain Gym and Puzzle Playing Against the Development of Fine Motorcycles in Preschoolers in the Work Area of ​​the Basuki Rahmad Community Health Center in Bengkulu City. Quantitative research design using the Quasy Experiment design, two groups of pre-post tests equivalent without control design. The results of univariate analysis with brain gym intervention, from 15 respondents before the brain gym there were 9 children (60%) experienced deviant fine motor skills and after given 11 children therapy (73.3%) experienced normal fine motor skills. Whereas from the 15 respondents before intervening tubuzzle, there were 8 children (53.3%) having deviated fine motor skills and after being given a puzzle 15 respondents (100%) experienced normal fine motor skills. The bivariate results of Wilcoxon test have the effect of brain gym with p-value = 0,000 and puzzle with p-value = 0.001 in the development of fine motor in preschool children. Mann Whitney test results obtained p-value = 0.005. Conclusion, playing puzzles was more effective in the development of fine motor skills of preschoolers in the Basuki Rahmad Community Health Center in the City of Bengkulu. Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of brain gym therapy on increasing short memory of school-age mentally retarded children. This type of research is a quantitative study with a quasi-experimental design, one groups pre and post test design. The results showed that the t-dependent value of the brain gym pre-post test, with a p-value of 0.000 and the mean value for children who were given brain gym intervention was 10.60 with a standard deviation of 0.996. In conclusion, there is an effect of brain gym therapy on increasing short memory of school-age children at State Elementary School 05 Bengkulu City.
