Abstract

This research is motivated by the problem of low student learning outcomes in the subjects of Islamic Cultural History and does not meet the competency standards according to curriculum demands. This is due to the lack of student learning motivation, and lack of teacher variation in using learning methods. Therefore the researcher chose one of the learning methods namely the Inside-Outside Circle method to improve student learning outcomes. The Inside-Outside Circle method is a learning method by making small circles and large circles, where seven people make an inner circle facing outward and seven people make an outer circle facing inward. The purpose of the research is to improve the quality of learning, especially in the subjects of Islamic Cultural History (SKI). The subjects of this study were students of class XI IPA 2 MAN Model Sorong City in the even semester of the academic year 2017/2018 totaling 29 people. This research was conducted in 2 cycles, namely, cycle 1 carried out 2 meetings and cycle II 2 meetings. The object of this study is student learning outcomes which are divided into 3 domains, namely cognitive, affective and psychomotor. Data collection techniques are done using observation sheets and test sheets during the action and documentation of learning activities. The collected data were analyzed both qualitative and quantitative data. Qualitative data were analyzed by data exposure stages. While quantitative data using descriptive statistical analysis with statistical data processing software SPSS 23.0 and Microsoft Excel 2010. From the results of this study, it can be concluded that an increase in learning outcomes of Islamic Cultural History in class XI MIPA 2 MAN Sorong City Model after applying the Inside-Outside Circle method

Abstract

Pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kompetensi menulis artikel ilmiah melalui webinar pada guru di Papua Barat. Metode dampingan menggunakan Participatory Action Research (PAR). Peserta dampingan sebanyak 35 orang dari Kota dan Kabupaten Sorong. Digunakan empat tahapan dalam melakukan pendampingan yaitu, tahap perencanaan, tindakan, observasi, dan refleksi. Hasil pendampingan menunjukkan bahwa kompetensi guru dalam menulis artikel ilmiah mengalami peningkatan. Pada kondisi awal, guru memiliki kompetensi kurang baik (59,7) dan berhasil ditingkatkan menjadi baik (72,6). Dari pelaksanaannya, kegiatan webinar direspons positif dan sangat dibutuhkan guru (84,2) dalam upaya peningkatan kompetensi menulis artikel ilmiah. Kesimpulannya, pendampingan menggunakan webinar dapat menjadi pilihan dalam meningkatkan kompetensi guru di Papua Barat saat pandemi Covid-19.

Abstract

penelitian diperoleh observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah dengan teknik kajian isi (content analysis) dan deskriptif kualitatif bertujuan untuk menggambarkan keadaan atau ingin mengetahui suatu fenomena tertentu. Teknik ini dilakukan dengan mengidentifikasi data yang diperoleh, diolah kemudian dianalisis secara konseptual. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa guru PAI telah menerapkan pendidikan Multikultural dalam materi pelajaran dengan melakukan penambahan tema atau mengintegrasikan nilai-nilai multikultural dalam materi Pendidikan Agama Islam pengajarannya dilakukan dengan cara menyeluruh dan mendalam. Dengan demikian, pendidikan multikultural dalam materi Pendidikan Agama Islam sangat urgen untuk diterapkan. Hal ini untuk mengantisipasi realitas kemajemukan yang ada dalam masyarakat yang majemuk agar dapat membantu mewujudkan perdamaian atau toleransi di tengah-tengah kemajemukan masyarakat di Pulau Papua.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mendeskripsikan kesulitan belajaran fisika dan matematika siswa sekolah menengah atas (SMA) di Papua Barat. Penelitian ini berangkat dari keinginan untuk memetakan dan menemukan letak masalah kognitif bagi siswa SMA di Papua Barat. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode kuantitatif deskripsif, dengan teknik pengumpulan data berupa pemberian tindakan yang diikuti evalusi dan pengukuran kemampuan mengingat berdasarkan indikator kemampuan mengingat konsep, mengingat persamaan, mengingat pola soal, megingat prosedur dan kemampuan mengingat objek visual dalam belajar Fisika dan matematika. Teknik analisis data menggunakan analisis deskriptif, dengan pemetaan persentase kemampuan siswa pada tiga skala ukur yaitu, mampu, kurang mampu dan tidak mampu. Temuan penting dalam penelitian ini adalah kemampuan mengingat siswa dalam pelajaran fisika dan matematika kurang optimal, sehingga hal ini menjadi indikasi kesulitan siswa dalam menguasai aspek kognitif pada tingkatan berikutnya. Namun demikian, kemampuan mengingat siswa pada matapelajaran fisika lebih baik dibandingkan matematika.

Abstract

This study aimed to select and identify Madrasah Ibtidaiyah (MI) Students' at Sorong City having mathematical Olympiad skills using Matematika Nalaria Realistik (MNR) Learning Model. Through this model, it will be analysed students' mathematical thinking skills, including mathematical comprehension skills, mathematical communication skills, and mathematical reasoning skills. The subject of this research was 33 students in 5th grade and two students in 6th grade at MI Sains Al-Hidayah Sorong City. This study applied the design research method with three phases, namely, preliminary design, teaching experiment, and retrospective analysis. Data on students' mathematical thinking skills were obtained through pre-test and post-test using descriptive analysis in each phase. Results of this study in the preliminary design involving 35 students were obtained pre-test (1) average was 9,74; (2) standard deviation was 15.72. The results of the teaching experiment phase were obtained post-test (1) average was 13,57; (2) standard deviation was 13,75; and (3) an increase of 39,32%. The results of the retrospective analysis involving 7 students were obtained pre-test (1) average was 38,28; (2) standard deviation was 23,09. In the post-test was obtained (1) average was 72,28; (2) standard deviation was 9,81; and (3) an increase of 88,77%. Thus MNR model contributed significantly to improve students' mathematical thinking skills. From 7 students participating in the final phase, three students had good skills, and four students had moderate skills

Abstract

This study aims to capture and identify students of Islamic Education in the city of Sorong who have the competence in mathematics olympiad using the Realistic Mathematical Mathematics learning model (MNR). Of the 7 students who participated in the final phase, 3 students had good abilities and 4 students had moderate abilities.

Abstract

This study aims to determine whether there is an influence from parents' interpersonal communication and learning facilities at home on students' learning motivation in elementary schools in Sorong Regency. This type of research is a quantitative correlational design. Using multiple linear regression statistical techniques with a significance level of 5%. Data was collected in class V at SD Inpres 15, Sorong Regency, with 53 students. The results showed a positive and significant influence between parents' interpersonal communication and learning facilities at home on students' learning motivation in elementary schools. This result is evidenced by the analysis results, namely the Sig value of 0.000 <0.05, which means the hypothesis is accepted. As for the results of the coefficient of determination, that is equal to 0.546 and shows that the influence of interpersonal communication between parents and learning facilities at home on student motivation is equal to 54.6%. So interpersonal communication and learning facilities positively affect students' learning motivation.
